He will have some (if not plenty) pre owned in fully working condition for sale. Alternatively, have you disassemble the motor housing and give it a good clean with contact cleaner? If you know the spec of the bolt - Size, thread, length, etc.......I'm sure your local nut&bolt supplier stock them. Or even Ebay will have them.

Try remove battery connection for 5 mins or so to reset and try again after that.

Yes, they are plastic. Noticed this when I tinted them last year.
