  1. I've totally given everything back to my lecturer =) but here's a schematic diagram of vehicle dynamics after a quick google search --> https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Schematic-of-Vehicle-Dynamics-Model_fig1_228917982 hence adding spacers will change something but how significant or sensitive your vehicle to 25mm or 20mm spacer could only be answered by the equation which I struggle to locate =) I can't remember but i think there is a sweet spot ie you don't want it to be too wide or too narrow for max. handling.

  2. Depends on your definition of better drive. Lowering will lower your center of gravity is technically should be more stable however you'll sacrifice a bit of comfort as you'll probably feel all the bumps on the road. Spacers should also make it more stable but some reported tram lining.

Where I live here, the road is pretty horrible and i had to go pass few 'traffic calming device' hence lowering is not an option for me. I do have spacers 20mm front, 25mm rear. Feels a little bit more planted but could be placebo....but my main reason for having them is to fill the arches hence mainly for appearance B)

  3. No chance!! None of her interviews shows any signs of remorse, not a single bit!! ISIS has lost all their territories and influence......she wants to come home, I'm sure she'll carry on staying there if ISIS is on top of their game and her husband is still fighting.

I,m in Woodlesford so not far from Wakey (even if I get them off ebay). Where's your local mechanic if they can do it for that price. might get the disks and get them to do it for that price.

I pick them up from their shop as I drove pass it when I went down to Derby to get my exhaust from Tarmac. My mechanic is in Huddersfield, it's next door to my work hence very convenient for me to drop off in the morning, and pick up after work. Note that the price might be more if you just wanted disc/pads swap. I went there for MOT, oil change, diff oil change, gear box oil change + disc/pads hence got a good discounted price =)

    Hi,

The discs you put the link to are they brembo size?

    Cheers

Yes, they are. The sizes in the description says 324mm front, 322mm rear.

To confirm, check this post https://www.350z-uk.com/topic/57827-brembo-disc-sizes/

  6. Had all my brake and discs replaced recently, got them from AZ-Parts Wakefield (£220 ish for 4 discs https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FOR-NISSAN-350Z-FRONT-REAR-KINETIX-DIMPLED-GROOVED-PERFORMANCE-BRAKE-DISCS-SET-/252898413495). They are Kinetic (some say they are the same factory that produces for MTEC brakes). Brembo pads from ECP (around £50 all 4 sets using discount code that they happy display on their main webpage). I also purchased some pad shims from Clark Motorsports (i can't remember but around £25 ish for 4 shims) Labour of £15 per corner to swap by my local mechanic. All in for £355, hence around £177.50 for just front. I don't track my zed hence any decent make will do. Drove just over 1000 miles since I replace them. Braking improved compared to my previous discs and pads (unknown brand).

edit - i got them kinetix as they looked nice (grooved and dimpled) B)

  7. I would check it myself but zed is not with me at the moment. It seems like my switch is almost on it's way to the scrap bin, gave it a wiggle, cleaning and reattach the harness, it seems to be working for a few days and it starts thrown lights up again hence don't think i can ignore this further =) I can't remember it this is a 4 pin or 2 pin switch? Anyone has one handy to confirm or any changed one recently can confirm? Price difference between 2 and 4 is double (£12.99 for 2 pin, £45 for 4 pin). Many thanks in advance.

  8. Few easy fix to try....

1.) As Headphones stated, check the brake switch - You can easily get to it, its just behind the brake pedal. Before you buy a new one, try disconnect and reconnect it firmly. If this doesn't help, get some contact cleaner and reconnect. Finally, buy and replace with new switch.

2.) If no1, doesn't fix that, check all brake lighted up when pedal is pressed. If bulbs not working, you might want to check them (Assuming they are normal bulbs, there should be 2 filaments in it).

3.) Make sure brake fluid is topped up to max.

Not so easy + expensive fix

1.) ABS pump needs replacing. 2nd hand from Zmanalex is around £250 ish, then around £200 ish labour to replace + fluids.

  9. Collected my zed today with brand new clutch and flywheel. Been shown the old clutch and flywheel, clutch plate has worn badly and rivets on them are almost loose. Flywheel is rocking like a boat, lots of movement on the old one. To my surprise, the clutch is actually might lighter than before and the zed pulls so much better than, in fact much better than I first got it 4 years ago. I'm expecting a new clutch to be much heavier pedal but lighter than the Micra. I hope this is normal.

Nearly wet my pants when I drove on the motorway when i wanted to go into 5th and 6th gear. Did the usual thing, push the gear stick to most right and up to get to 5th and most right and down to get to 6th. Guess what, on the 1st go, i can't get to neither of these.....whilst on the fast lane, I have to settle at 4th gear and pull back into slow lane. Took the next exit to get back to garage and I did try to get into 5th or 6th at traffic lights. Managed to get into 5th and 6th stationary and soon after I managed to figure out that they might have moved the plate further hence I've overshoot the 5th and 6th gear, i need to pull back towards the center about 0.5cm or so to get into 5ht and 6th. I did remember reading something on this forum about something to adjust. Got back to Lockwood & Greenwood and the mechanic came out and said there isn't anything to adjust, it is what it is. Which obviously wasn't aware of the adjustment plate just below the gear stick. I found a thread in the forum and showed them =). All sorted now...... B)

I can hear the 2 clicks happening of the relay in the passenger footwell when the car enters programming mode. When I hold the unlock button and press the lock button 3 times and release the unlock button on the fob to register the key, nothing happens. Hazards don't flash and the relay doesn't click. Where is he receiver located on the zed? Would it have to be fixed by Nissan, or can an auto locksmith do it?

Sounds like receiver is no working based on what you have described. Nissan could potentially fix it but expect to pay a boom. I don't think an auto locksmith will be able to fix, maybe auto electrician. Check with Zmanalex if he know if the receive can be replaced easily and if he as them in stock.
