  1. That was a big one. We sneaked down to Mulsanne dodging the Gendarme in the middle of the night and were sitting by the armco, watching them flat through the kink when it was like a bomb going off, unfortunately it was Win turning the Jag into scrap. Glad he was OK. :scare: Yes, he was okay after that, only to succumb to a tragic error during an op on his back which has left him partially paralysed. He still races though in specially adapted cars, which this Z is also.
  2. Ha! Of course not, but the Samuri's built by Spike Anderson may tug at the heart strings of the 50+ generation a bit more. Our lost youth! How I wished I could have afforded one then. Got me thinking of Tony Fall on the RACs now!
  3. He has a couple of Jags and a beautiful ex Police Daimler Dart with all the bells and lights etc which he uses as a course car. We were talking only last week about his Le Mans crash. He has just bought out his autobiography, awaiting my signed copy
  4. As it's Win Percy's, I guess he has an absolute right to display the BRDC badge
  5. On our recent Spanish car tour, stunning Spike Anderson car.
  6. I use a Carcoon both in England for the Z and my classic Pagoda which is kept in Spain. They are both in garages. The Z in the UK has no damp on it even after 3 winter months. They do work well in a garage environment!
  7. Did you have a look at the Infiniti FX an awesome piece of kit for the money and the Zs real big brother.
  8. Great, thanks guys will have a play tomorrow and report back.
  9. Only just seen this thread, some great photos! Well here I go, from about 1975, must have been when I first got a camera. You see I liked my TR6s! Then I went rallying. Motoring News round Coleman Tyres class win gave us 2nd O/A Motoring News FWD Championship, did i really have a hair style like that! Then marriage and home ownership got in the way so we sprinted and hillclimbed. Then we moved to Dubai Then via Spain we moved to Italy Should never have sold the Giulietta, but work moved me to South Korea and it was impractical to keep her! Followed by a move to Turkey Then I decided enough of travelling for work and back to the Uk and Spain The R32 was a great car but I always wanted to tick the M3 box. Now my current collection in addition to the Z
  10. Hi can anybody identify what the two buttons in this photo are. One is top left and has auto on it. The other is the button to the right of the hood button above the Japanese electronic toll slot. This does not correspond to any photos I have seen of the Japanese electronic toll, so i guess it's nothing to do with that. I have tried switching them on or off? Nothing seems to change. They also don't seem to make any difference to the Cobra alarm system. Thanks Rob
  11. Apart from Z oem exhausts, which seem to be made from old washing machines
  12. The Z logo is standard on the Titanium system, I believe.
  13. Don't forget, there are also loads of new members, me for instance that have not been to the Z weekend in Wales and really looking forward to 2015 Wales. I would be gutted if this were to move to bi-annual.
  14. I have a few cars I really regret selling. First would be my Alfa Giulietta Spider Veloce, which was a nut and bolt rebuild Second would be my 7 And third suprisingly would be my R32 Golf. Sold this for an M3 Vert SMG. Never shouild have parted with it, great workhorse, lovely engine and what a soundtrack Oh okay fifth would be a mint 911 Carrera Targa I brought from Dubai and sold stupidly to buy one of the first Audo TTs

  16. Wow, just completed the fitment of this system. What a beautifully crafted piece of engineering! Such a wonderful soundtrack also, not much more than oem on idle and light throttle and then just a lovely sound on full throttle. Thanks Matt!
