I did around 5 dips, after the first it was all sparse and slight bits of oil spolged in a few places. Confused.com

They said if i want to take it to one of my choosing i would have to pay £200!!! im with esure.

My car is pretty healthy, nothing wrong with it, needs a clutch change though pretty soon as i can feel it slip slightly, other than that it's pretty solid i suppose. The interior of the other car seems a bit nicer, i have a few scratches on the plastic dash on the passenger side where a glove box would normally be on the bottom half, which kind of annoys me dunno if that can be replaced though. I'm not educated on how many miles these cars are good for although i had heard somewhere 200k... i dunno when i start getting funny when my cars get close to 100k Anyone here with over 100k and had any issues? @Ekona can you change the clock

Okay so i just checked oil, has sat for over an hour, took out dipstick first time and looked like a healthy amount of oil on the dipstick, wiped away then dipped in for another reading, took out and the stick looked a little sparse a few blotches up and down the stick and a bit on the bottom of the stick? eh?

Yeah i think maybe slightly better.. not a great deal in condition, and i want to keep my wheels anyway as i just fitted new falcons on it and i have rays and he has the fairlady wheels on his. But he said we could swap the wheels so that i could keep mine. The only other thing is has a stock exhaust system, and it sounded a bit pants compared to mine, i think mine has a cobra on it not sure exactly as i purchased second hand but mine growls a lot more IMO

Hi Guys, My zed is sitting at 70k now, however one has come up at a local garage with 43k miles on and i was thinking of trading it in, its the same year 04 although it's up for 9k i could trade in for my car and 1k... would it be worth doing this or would it be wasting money?

Hi Guys I am curious if the passenger side dash where the glove box would normally be in any other car directly in front of passenger, can this be replaced at all, a few scratches on that plastic dash side on the bottom half that bothers me somewhat.

Hi Guys Recently a guy in a mitsi pickup truck that was towing a very wide trailer was parked next to me at some traffic lights as the lights changed we both moved on and his trailer scratched the passenger side of the car mostly on the door but a bit on the rear quarter and front quarter too. The bad thing is he drove off and did not stop and i had to chase him to get his plate. Anyway i got his plate and reported him to the police and doing the normal insurance thing. The insurance company of choice to do the repair is Auto restore, and they do it mobile and your home.... this kinda worries me a bit as it sounds like chips away or something. Anyone here had any experience with auto restore quality of work etc?

Hi guys, I am going to do and oil and filter change, but need to know after the oil has been completely drained from the 350z 2004 how much do i put back in? I cant really trust using the dipstick so just need to know the right amount to put in... i assume some of you guys will know

It could be... need to ask him. But i think it was hand polished... it took him a whole day to do the car.

You know what i do not know if he machine polished or not? Might ask him next time i am over there though! His price for this was £140 which includes the definitive wax... base level it is £120 for a premium job like this but he can go lower to £60.. i did not want to skimp! Would you say that is a reasonable price to pay for detailing?

Hi guys... Just had my z professionally detailed by a guy in the mansfield area, he is pretty darn good for the price he charges. He used some quality megs products and the best stuff from other brands (i know he used something called apocalypse on the wheels and made them look brand new) and some premium waxes - i think one by definitive wax, did the trim, cleaned the tail pipes... also will be using him to clean the car every week or two... he is the ONLY guy i would trust apart from myself. He takes his time cleaning cars and uses all the right tools (wash mitts, drying towls) no sponges or schammys unlike a lot of the quick in out hand car washes - which i would never recommend. Oh you will see my discs look orange that is the chemicals he used around that area... went away after a good burn afterwards Anyway here is the results and a premium detail by him....

I dont really have time to change do an oil and filter change i'd have to take it to somebody to do, but i want it topped up.. if i use a small amount say 3 qs of 1 litre should it be okay? I mean if i dont know whats in it can it do much damage or?

Erm.. looked on it and there seems to be nothing showing but called Ken up and recommends 10w 40 so will give that a go.

okay wrench and towel did the job lol now which oil is best for me to buy to put in this thing?

Okay checked today before even starting looks quite low i think... surprising since when i purchased her a few weeks ago was meant to have a full oil and filter change.. hmmm makes me wonder... unless i have caning it too hard. I only done around 700 miles though. Now i tried taking offt he oil cap, and for the life of me i can not get it off.. which way is it meant to turn clockwise or anti? seems like its friggen glued on!

Will double check in the morning and see if i can get a more accurate reading thanks fellas!

Okay just i heard it was better to warm up the oil first?

Yeah always clean the dipstick with a bit of blue role.

Checked oil level today, went for a little drive got it up to temp, then let her cool down for 20 mins or so. Check oil level and the side that does not have the L M levels on looks coated with oil but the other side with the L M looks a bit bare? Totally confused does this mean lil is low or have i got enough? lol PIcs here top with oil coated that was not on the reading side. the other pics are is the side of the dipstick which has the L M on.

I got it done by a company I found in a banner on here, Paintshield, it was the xpel film. Nice one thanks for the share just looked and found another one too that looks good just posted the link above post. Looks like i might do something like this... how much did it cost you to do? Respray and the filming.
