I have exactly the same thoughts, i was seriously considering a 370z but looked at what else was around and figured i could now buy a cayman, it was always a child hood dream to buy a Porsche so figured i would fulfil that. I test drove one first to see what it was like and i really must say the drive is really nice, personally i feel it drives nicer than the 350z, it feels more fluid.... I'll post some pics soon.

Well it's been fun while it lasted, but i have traded my 350z in for a new cayman, I'll be sad to see it go but fancied a change, who know's I might be back in one soon enough... love the car to bits. Appreciate all the help some of you guy's have given me over the course of my ownership. Having said this, i have recently purchased an HR hood and a nismo v3 front bumper as they were supposed to be getting fitted so I now have them for sale if anybody is interested I'll be posting them in the for sale section. They are brand new. Just took the zed out for a final drive tonight such nice weather today, took it down back lanes and country roads and let her rip... even a year on I'm not bored of this machine. I wish i could keep both cars.

Don't get me wrong i get far more compliments than head shakes lol the head shakes are few between but i have noticed them, way more jaw dropping looks respectively. And even more so when i get the modding done I think. I really do love the Z so far, one of the best car's i have owned even though it's old it just beautiful.

None of the above, i don't play music loud generally, i like to listen to the 3.5 howl. No stickers... so yeah they probably hate me. Oh well... oh and no mod's just yet at least.... well not until the v3 bumper arrives, the rear chargespeed bumper, the new hood and the t37 arrives and the wrapping that's getting done... and the rest. No matey, I've been driving for 15 years, i have not just passed my test. I've been on tracks all my life had advanced driving classes and i would say i am better than a lot of other people on the road put it that way... so no like i say it is not my driving style, I've had a person do it when I've been parked at lights and do it as they drive past... so it really couldn't be.

It's a cheap £5K car, it's hardly a P1 Like I said, you will always find the odd person who doesn't get sports cars, but if you're getting this a lot then I'm sorry, but you're the problem. Why some people can never admit they might be a teensy bit in the wrong, I'll never know. Yeah but the average joe does not see it as a 5k car unless they REALLY know cars, I've had people thinking it was worth at least 20 grand, people come up to me and say they thought it was an r8, people with jaw dropping driving past.... oh and people who shake their head It looks and sounds pretty exotic. So people most of the time have no clue, especially since you don't see them that often, and they are that old i guess not many people even realise they are old.

I fitted the clutch kit from clarks motor sport. Sometimes it will be normal, usually when it's not been on for so long but after a good drive the idle will chatter, it's a bit annoying... is there anything that can be done to stop it? And does my idle look to be at the right revs?

I'm concerned, recently had the light fly fitted with the new clutch, and after reading a few posts that people from people that have fitted them and reading that they do not get chatter when idle, i think something may be wrong with mine then as i have got pretty annoying chatter. When you first start her up or when the engine is cold, it seems okay and the revs generally are slightly higher but after a while of driving and then coming to a stop the idle kind of bounces around does not seem stable and makes the chatter. AHAHAHA yeah i think it's a cobra but too be honest it does not seem that loud when in low revs and going through villages etc ? Just smile & wave at them Danny. Yeah that's what i thought, next time somebody does it i will wave hahahahahaha i think it's kind of jealousy built in.... maybe they think it's a supercar and they look at a young guy like me driving it and they cant take it... so they shake there head like it aint FAIR!!
