  1. So I decided to change a bit of my interior. Colour will be Burnt Orange Alcantara and Brushed copper and painted copper accents. Random pics to follow. All pretty self explanitry so far. 2 nights ago I started with a test piece for the painting of some interior panels. 1 dust coat and one layer of acid etch primer for plastics. 5 coats of primer with plasticiser, 6 coats of copper and 2 coats of clear gloss. i wont bore you with the stages, so last final two steps. Im very please with the test piece and so will now carry on. And yes I know it may not be everyone's cuppa tea, but Ive gone in the lines of the colours already in the car as standard and Im loving it to be different to others Ive seen one here. One last thing....can someone post me a link to the door panel removal and door handles removal. I cannot find it for the life of me. Thanks...more pics to follow as I progress. Zeb.
  2. yep agreed with 350AD. Do the cancellation via the bank too so they cant take another dime off you at the end of the month sold.
  3. Now if I could only do a 370 to 350 head lamp and rear lamp conversion. ! Honestly tho. I like it. So far Ive only seen the new nismos in white??
  4. The bass from these beauties are unreal. Now installed and they push so much air into the back of the seats its unbelevable. Mind you the 800 watt amp helps. Helps too to line the body behind the panel with sound deadening material. I had some dynamat and thought hang on... this is so similar to the foil back foam you get for laminate flooring. Slightly less denser but by damn does the same job and is extremely cheap. Centre dash is now off ready for painting. Pics to follow.
  5. made a start on my interior. Burnt orange and brushed copper. more pics to follow with the painting of the central console and possible covering of the lower door sections
  6. My thanks to GM for his informative input, and of course all others for their comedic values. I give up!!
  7. We should replicate Clarkson, May and inch high on one of their global outings lol
  8. Just wondered what the absolute max we can squeeze out of the these cars regardless of cost, keeping though the original block and not using other engines from other cars like the LS (Corvette) etc that some have done or looking to do.. Reason me asking is that my friend just got his GTR back from LITCHFILED and i've just seen the dyno sheets pushing 900BHP.!!! Also been in it and needless to say I sh*t myself.
  9. Guess im the only one likes them. Ofcourse colours and designs can be what ever we decide. Heres the company. http://www.visual-performance.co.uk/plasma-dial-faces-48-c.asp
  10. I've been some time in talks which a manufacturer in the UK who is prepared to make plasma dials for the 350Z uk based car. I've had estimates of between 50 and sixty quid which would include the invertor which I think is a great price( for the main dash, not the central console YET!!!) . The only problem that I can see is that they need a minimum of 10 interested to do the R AND D and manufacture plus they need a set of dials to mock up. Now depending how many would be interested and in the hope that someone breaking a zed and can supply the clocks as a loan, these could become a reality. No-one in the UK that I know of is making these for the zed. any questions, I will try and answer, or if I cant, will forward them to the manufacturer. So whom would be interest. 1. Zeb.
  11. NA...keep you all guessing lol. Good point tho and will do next time. Thanks for the link. Its exactly what Im doing and needing to do. All silver will be recovered in brushed copper to match my burnt orange speaker builds. Pics to follow when most is complete. Central console is going copper too. Not to everyones taste but I like it :-)
  12. the silver trim on my DE steering wheel - non cruise control. Want to take them off to change colour. it is a matter of something flat behind and lightly prise them off or does the wheel need to be removed. thanks
  13. Not radical enough for me. I was in the era that ford brought out the two door cosworth and the rs500. At the time these were bonkers designs. Cars these days they just all look the same I'm afraid and nobody ever pushes the boundaries. Just my 2p,s worth
  14. I have carried out a new install over the week end of a new head unit, and some new speakers which are located in the space of the cubby hole and the old bose speaker locations behind the seats of my Roadster. PICS and a write up coming soon. My question is that my amp is now located against the step wall behind the drivers seat i.d. the panel that below the bose speaker location. I need to self tap into the wall to fix my amp. Will it be safe to do so?? ie whats hidden behind the wall, i.e petrol tank, elecs etc etc.?? Ive tried looking for a gohst drawing of the roadster but nothings come up. Any help on this would be appriciated. thanks
  15. Make sure the V5 states this and that its been inspected and passed. I bought a CAT D mini cooper for the missus. It had a door and cill damage when catogorised. Chap had it repaired through BMW. She said it was the best car he'd ever had. Upshot - if ya happy with buying one, buy one to keep and not to sell on and make a buck or too. Incidently is cill spelled cill or sill?? can never get this one right lol crap at spelling anyway.
  16. covered loads of times and doubt that the majority on here with roadsters really do have a full working issue free roofs. The lube you "must use" is the one from Nissan. I say this because thats what it sais on the service bulletin of the roof. Ive used white light grease and silicone based lubes. If the roof is stuck get someone to hold down the open button and when the roof is in the up position, press the microswitch in on the passenger side at the base of the central bow. That should do it.
  17. I've run both 95 (for the initial week without knowing) and 99 V-Power. And I can tell you the 99 is alot smoother and crispier on acceleration. # Its just not worth the risk just to save a few pence. Why buy this kinda car in the first place if you cant afford the running costs. The only one thing I will say though, that buying second hand like I'm sure most of us on here has done, you cannot guarantee what's been used in the first place??
  18. yep second that. He's good with reasonable prices. Also does decals, tinting etc
  19. frozen over. AS the guys say, turn on your light and squirt the window with ya wiper blades. These pop out and wash your lights once then retract. It only works once. Other wise turn off ya lights and start again.
