  1. its nice to see that there are still sellers like this around. Not like that poor guy to got lumbered with a dead engine on here the other day.
  2. might give this a go at some point. How often do you need to do this guys?? after every wash??
  3. Any one tried watching that new classic car show with Quentin Wilson and Jodi Kid. Jesus its like watching paint dry.
  4. take a look on here for a Nissan Bulletin that explains how to service the 5th bow motor which is the first thing that moves on the roof after the stow away clam opens. There is a procedure that tells you how much slack should be on the worm cable, how to re-feed it through the motor using an external battery and is really easy to follow. At least the dealer should have known about this and should have looked as it takes 15 mins to do and can rectify your problem, If I can find it, ill post it up.
  5. Welcome on board. With regards to the clunk? try the anti dive bar bushes, cheap to change, or possibly the drop links near the suspension? Maybe someone might reply who knows much more than I do. Enjoy your car. Really fancy a Porche Cayman my self. !!!
  6. So nearly there now. Door handles, switch surrounds and steering wheel left to do. The copper foil looked crap on the vent surrounds so had a go painting them then brushed them with sand paper to get that brushed looked. Im ok pleased with them. Also need to change the lights in the cubbies to orange as and when I find any.
  7. Can someone point me in the right direction as to what colour wire I need to tap into for power to my screen and camera when in reverse. Either from the rear near the reversing light or better still from the foot well if possible. so a positive switched feed when in reverse. edit sorry i should say I have a 2005 .:-) thanks
  8. Ye I think its just the shielding that peeling away. Will that be ok with the MOT?
  9. Theres one on ebay for 80. But its from Balgaria so god know what its like. If youll take 110 including postage, Ill take it off ya hands. PM me. cheers
  10. they advertise in Jap car mags like Banzai etc, but tbh you can get similar for far cheaper. Most of their stuff is for the GTR and think they only manufacture one bumper for the Z and that the GTR look. All others are bought out with them.
  11. lift the door from the bottom leading edge when open and see if there is up n down movement there, if so, your door is dropping. You then need to look at the hinge pins or the hinges themselves.
  12. As I was under the car two weeks ago doing all my aux belts I noticed my cats were a bit worse for ware, pulling away loose and rusty outer bits of what was now tin.Knowing I have an MOT in three months time, what would you all recrommend I do on a tight budget. Need a dual exit because of the diffuser im fitting at the rear. So can I mix n match? and also how do you guys get around the MOT situation with decats?? Im a muppet regards to exhausts so any help here will be great to know what costs I'm gonna have facing me in a few months. Dont want to swap stuff over just to pass the MOT then swap em back, if you know what I mean. cheers
  13. Welcome on board, Can I ask you what grade wet n dry and what make plastic polish you used. looks mint!!!
  14. When I swap the plug im gonna do a quickly off finger in hole new plug in then top up. Well hopefully. Might be comedic moment with me being covered head to shoulder in oil. Lol
  15. Arrgghhh. Anyway, if you remember I took the doors off the small cubbies and have sorted the power supply so that they will be lit from the inside. So these are the masks I've made last night. 5mm Perspex with vinyl fronts. I tried to make the zed look like a welsh dragon, as I'm welsh. Got to sort out some 12v lighting from eBay then all can be put on with 3m double sided tape just in case they need to be popped off at some point. [/url Again sorry to Amy for nicking the idea!!!
  16. Here you go... URL=http://s1375.photobucket.com/user/nigelrees123/media/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-03/DSC_0606_zpsjds97mi0.jpg.html][/url]
  17. Heres what I mean regards to the plug ?????? Maybe Tarmac can get back to me?
  18. Carried out her first oil change yesterday from ownership and have to say it was dead easy and took literally 10 mins to do. Must add that the oil filter location could not be in a better place. So got my liquid gold from Opie, sump plug from Tarmac Sports which was too big(?????) , (ill come to that in a bit) and a k and n oil filter from flee bay. [/url As you can see access from the front a doddle. Just jack the car up. Even a fat dude like me can get to it lol Access to to filter really good. Drop the oil and screw off the filter. Either hammer a Phillips crew driver through the filter and turn or in my case take a good grip with a rag and twist. The k and n filter has an inbuilt nut to enable you to tighten with a spanner. The magnetic sump plug was an M12. Mine is slightly smaller m10 maybe?? Which leaves me confused as I did order a 350 one from Tarmac. My only thoughts is that after 2005 they were bigger?? Maybe someone can shine some light on this for me. Anyway old plug and new washer was used for now. As you can see it was well overdue. URL=http://s1375.photobucket.com/user/nigelrees123/media/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-03/DSC_0621_zpsgrrk4tf5.jpg.html] I urge anyone who hasn't done this before to give it a bash. It literally is a ten min job after running the car for 15mins somewhere to warm up the oil to make it thinner so that its easier to drop. Tomorrow....spark plugs. Happy days.
  19. Defi ones are stunning. Would you use the existing senders for oil temp and pressure??
