  1. Yep. It turns out that there actually is a magic money after all. Neither Scotland or Wales will get anything extra in Barnett consequencials. It's hard to see it as anything but a bung. Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk
  2. Just when I thought the worst outcome was a large majority for the Torys. We have a minority Tory govt propped up by the DUP 😂. A party who's manifesto is basically the bible with fortnightly bin collections. I wonder what Scottish Conservative leader (And openly gay msp) Ruth Davidson thinks of aligning with a party who believe she's immoral. Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk
  3. I wouldn't be doing anything like 55 miles per day. Probably closer to 55 miles per week. That being said, a quick check suggest that your Ls400 gets better mpg than an SRT8. Time will tell. Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk
  4. Ah what the hell. A big V8 it is. It wouldn't be a daily as I have the works van and a second car for the wife. Thanks for the input. Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk
  5. I'm torn between something 2 - 3 litre turbo like an Sti / evo or a big v8 , 300c or Cherokee SRT8. With an Sti or similar it's the chav image that goes with them which puts me off. But with an SRT8 I have concerns that I'll need to get a second mortgage or sell a kidney to pay for fuel. I'm under no illusions that it'll have Prius beating fuel economy but from people who have owned similar cars I want to know... just how crippling is it? Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk
  6. The more time that passes the harder a time I have believing that Theresa May is the "strong and stable leader" who can take us through Brexit negotiations. We've not even properly started and she's already thrown her toys out the pram and threatened to walk away without a deal. Hell, she's ill equipped to sit on a couch and discuss her own policies. 7. It's a common problem after new head unit. It won't be a bad earth. Do the buster hack/ buster mod. There's a few threads on it. Worked a treat Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk
  8. We already have the lowest Corporation tax rates in the G20. If we need to lower them further to attract big business then it shows how much of a shambles Brexit really is. Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk
  9. I'm not usually a fan of yellow but that looks awesome. The white wheels really set it off. Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk
  10. As prices start rising and Brexit is shown for the holocaust that it is, it won't be the fault of people who voted leave. Oh no. It'll be everyone who didn't vote Tory in the upcoming election who's weakened the UK negotiating position. 😂 Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk
  11. What money have the Torys made us over the last few years? They've doubled UK debt since taking power. I'm not a huge fan of Labour but it can't still all be Labours fault Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk
  12. Fight for better, or fight for the same pay and conditions as originally available but have subsequently declined? Striking because you decide that you don't like your job (even though it hasn't changed) is ridiculous. It does help unions to justify their existence though Well since companies don't give inflation matching pay rises out of the goodness of their heart I'd effectively be getting a real terms pay cut most years were it not for my union fighting for it. 13. Yeah mate you are. Unions aren't just there to protect you from unfair dismissal. They fight for better pay, conditions, keeping decent pension schemes open etc. Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk
  14. Well you were fitting reversing sensors so you wouldn't reverse into anything. Now that the car's dead it definitely won't reverse into anything... Job done! Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk
  15. No offence to anyone but I'll make this my last work on the subject because 1. It's not my job to convince people to vote in the next Indy ref and 2. I'm sure most here wouldn't be eligible in any event. I will just say that it is my sincere hope that when/if the next Indy ref comes along that either the elderly (who cost us the last referendum) have passed on by combination of harsh Scottish winter and Tory benefit cuts OR that the next referendum is a UK wide vote and we can take full advantage of the xenophobic attitudes that had little Englanders flocking to the polling stations at the Brexit referendum to "take back control" . Maybe Scotland can get voted out of the Union. Peace ✌ Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk
