I agree 100%. The Z had a bit of a "mini muscle car" niche in Europe. That 5.0 V8 is ridiculously good value. Makes a nismo 370z seem expensive by comparison.

I love alpinas. The new D3 is amazing for a diesel but has a m3 price tag. Love the B3 too. Not much help I know.

There a quite a few that have been used as second cars. Especially roadsters. My car is a 55 plate and has 38,500 miles on it.

I appreciate that many have cars on here with 100k miles plus. But to say high mileage isn't a issue is just wrong. It will obviously impact future resale and the engine is much more likely to fail. The same as every other car. Even big engined German diesels (535d, 3.0tdi) with 100k + are very difficult to sell and are £1000's cheaper than lower mileage equivalents. It's fair to say that a z with over 100k miles is likely to have a few problems. I remember when I first joined and a guy was trying to sell his "perfect" 100,000 mile 350z to every new member. I remember one guy buying it a the clutch failing on his journey home. If I remember right, it had other issues as well. If you are buying a 100k mile car. Have it thoroughly checked over.

Probably offended 80% of the forum Don't worry I'm with you. Each to their own and all of that malarkey. The only thing, if the interior is scratched to buggery, what can you do - spray it ? I'd say piano black overlays are a better option than fake carbon fibre. I love high quality carbon fibre, but not the fake stuff. It's horrible.

Just my opinion, and I don't mean to offend anyone. But fake carbon (dip, wrap or any other) is awful. It cheapens any car.

Swiftcover don't allow any mods. But they did say I could fit a "performance exhaust" as long as it doesn't increase the bhp as the 350z has a "performance twin exhaust as standard".

You will be fine. It's a sensible question to ask though. Some people have loads of money and no sense or driving skill at all. TC is your friend. Love the way he drives off like nothing has happened, but facing oncoming traffic

350z is very easy rwd car to drive. My first rwd was a BMW e36 when I was 20. Nearly killed myself a few times, but It tought me how to drive. No TC on them back then.

I'll be surprised if the new z has a 3 litre twin turbo. It would be a mini gtr. Would be great if it did though. I think a 2 litre turbo is much more likely. If it's anything like the golf r's it won't be a bad thing.

My mate has dinged his e350 cab a few times. Local body shop has always managed to match the pearl white paint. Frozen (satin/matte) is virtually impossible to match or blend.

I had to use Kwik fit when I had a company car supplied through lex. They were @*!# and always had a bad attitude. Never been to a Kwik fit where the staff didn't look and speak like they were on day release.

I wouldn't have a auto unless it was a PDK, DCT or DSG.

Huge step up IMO. Great car. M135i is ugly as sin and I'm a big BMW fan. Golf R is also a great car. Stupidly good for a golf.

The roofs I've seen that they have done look very DIY. No wonder they are so cheap.

Robins roof is supposed to be the best replacement. They offer the same German material merc and audi use. It's much nicer than the standard roof. The type of tear you mention can be repaired for around £50. But you will get wind noise on the motorway.

For a focus or a Astra, but not a Z.

Looks awful. I'd be embarrased to drive it. Metal effect wraps look like sweet wrappers or cheap Xmas decorations. Tragic looking car.

Can the exhaust not be modified? Some e92 m3 drivers say modified standard exhausts sound better than a Akrapovic.

This. Problem is I think with some of these people is that they lose sight of what a decent car is for the money as sometimes they are driving cars that the everyday man just will never be able to afford. I mean he's driven a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport and if I had I'm pretty sure I'd think the 350Z was cr*p. But he loves the Toyota?
