I'm not sure why CHW charge £235 to fit vinyl but £335 to fit mohair. Judging from their email response to that question. They don't either.

If you can find a 335i with DCT they're great cars for the money. Rare option though. I would touch a e92 m3 for less than early 20's. Many say they feel slower than a 335i DCT on the road, but obviously they're not.

Apparently to order one you need a "significant social media presence" as well as £300,000. The world has gone mad.

Twill weave is vinyl. Doesn't look as nice new but ages better IMO. When I as looking last summer one company used something called "sonnencloth" or similar. Which is oem for merc, BMW and Audi.

I spoke to jack last week. He's good guy. Gave me 2 options £290 to make, supply and fit, or £100 to fit a off the shelf one. He recommended the second option. As they are very awkward and some customers haven't been 100% happy. Good news is replacement roofs seem to be around half the price they were last year. Local trimmer (who is extortionately expensive and a bit of a dell boy) quoted around £600 fitted. Was over £1k last year.

A member on here has a white one. I see it regular as he lives near my dad. Can't recall his username but he had a orange 350z roadster before that.

I honestly think that's the best gearknob you can get for a Z. They look great fitted. Prefer the ones with the solid colour turtle though. Seem to sell instantly in the classifieds on my350z. I'm between one of these and a nismo gt titanium.

I know bud. Glad I questioned it. They've confirmed 350z are 10mm, but say all other 6 speed Nissan are 12mm.

Thanks for that. Funky power website has all 6 speed as 12mm.

It's weird. Every thread I find says 10. But nismo say 10 is for 5 speed and 12 for 6 speed. The other brand I'm considering say 10. But it's a US import and not cheap so I don't want to make a mistake.

What is the thread size for a 350z gear knob? M10x1.25 or M12x1.25? I thought it was 10 but I'm considering buying a nismo gt shift knob and the seller says its 12? Another seller is saying its 10? Thanks

Lovely car but the depreciation doesn't surprise me. Not many people want a 3.7 V6 and Z's are an acquired taste. Many people find them heavy compared to so called "rivals" that aren't really rivals, but completely different cars. I think Z's are more like mini muscle cars than nimble, sporty coupes. It's not fair to compare a 370z nismo to a much more expensive caymen on a track. Doesn't seem suspicious to me.

I was quoted £220. Ridiculous. I expected £50 tops.

Some bargain used cobra on eBay at the moment. One on for £260.

I've seen a few fujitsubus pop up used in the classifieds on here and they've always been relatively cheap. Not been on here for a while though. I appreciate they are expensive new. A new tanabe would be my preferred option but a new roof makes more sense. I had a small repair done in the spot where they always fail last year. It's virtually impossible to see but I get a "whistling" noise when I'm doing over 80ish which is annoying. I'll give you a shout if I decide to get a new one mate.

More likely to be the smell of mould/damp in the old roof. Even if you left a bud of a amsterdams finest in the open for more than a week or two. 99% of the smell would disappear.

Just took my car out of winter storage after promising my girlfriend I would sell this spring........and it isn't happening. I'd like a new exhaust but can't justify the cost as I'm getting a new roof. I'm interested in any fujitsubu or tanabe that may be for sale. Really wanted a nismo s tune but I can't get my head around what people are still paying for them in rough condition considering their age. Open to other exhausts too apart from Japspeed and invidia. Over the last few days I've started to get random pops and crackles from my speakers and sub when the stereo isn't even on. I'm guessing it's a problem with the amp. Are they simple to replace with a used one? How do I disconnect the ampbecause it's doing my head in? I really don't want to change the Bose head unit with a aftermarket one. I like the way the Bose unit matches the rest of the interior. Cheers in advance.
