I'm about to order a gear knob. The site lists 5 speed as 10mm thread and 6 speed as 12mm, but I thought the Z was 10mm? Thanks

Prices on Ev's will drop massively in a few years and the technology will improve. Like with every other electrical home appliance/product. My first Panasonic plasma TVs was £6000. The price of teslas is ridiculous and they feel cheap for the money. I know loads love them but I'm not a fan and never will be.

I'm not a fan of most infinity models but this looks special. http://business.pirelli.com/global/en-ww/pirelli-and-infiniti-announce-project-black-s-partnership?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=mo_201706_infiniti&utm_content=post_2017-06-12

What powers do you think he has? He'd be able to defy gravity using electromagnetics, so he can fly up to at least 10 miles above the earth (before the gravitic field is too weak to take advantage of). He is a master of electromagnetism, so he can pull metal objects toward him or repel them, but not to the same degree as Magneto. He can summon and channel lightning like Thor. Does he have super strength? How can we justify that? Amlpified electric signal from the nerves to the muscles? Discuss! He's a real life lex Luther......wait n see.

Long shot I know. Thought someone might be selling their car or fancy a change?

I don't think the Z interior is as bad as some say. It's not the best quality but it hasn't aged badly and suits the car. The leather trimmed dashes and door cards look great. But I personally can't stand hydro dipped carbon fibre, or any fake carbon fibre. IMO it's the tackiest, cheapest thing you can put on any car. I love real carbon fibre though.

I think I'll go for a retrim from Jack. His work is top quality.

It was the fact that you still keep all the functions that attracted me to it. Thanks anyway mate.

https://www.vqvortex.com/products/nissan-350z-2003-2006-carbon-fiber-flat-bottom-steering-wheel Is there anything like this available in Europe? With delivery, vat and import duty is added the price is ridiculous. Thanks

I'm convinced Musk is a real life super villain in waiting.

I've owned loads of different of cars over the years. My current daily is a 2017 XC60 D5 polestar which I've had from new. Every car other than the Z that I've owned has been easy to price. From what I've seen with Z's, prices just don't make sense. They're all over the place. I remember a few years back when I was thinking of selling. Some on here were saying at the time that mileage and number of owners didn't really have an effect on price. This seemed strange to me, as along with fsh it's the first thing I look at when buying a used performance car. I also usually avoid heavily modified cars because I think they're more likely to have had a hard life. The consensus on Porsche and m3 forums I've used in the past when selling. Is return to stock and sell the aftermarket bits separate. You get more money, and the car is less personalised to your taste and is likely to sell quicker. I know everyone has a different opinion on this type of thing. But IMO a car that heavily modified in its looks is going to have a limited market and attract tyre kickers when you advertise it. When I look at what my Z is worth, and think of the potential hassle of selling it. I just come to the conclusion that it makes more sense to keep it as a second car.

Was the one thing not in my dads shed. Was too hot to contemplate going to halfords

Thanks. She's fine......as long as she knows you.

No. It's in Manchester. Don't know who done it.

I honestly thought they were standard. I know the original owner, he must have had them fitted as soon as he got it. They were also on the coupe he had previously.
-
Got the polish out today. Totally standard and boring to most on here, but I'm pleased with the results. Excuse the garden ornaments. I clean my cars on my mums drive. I haven't got one

I was just going to start a thread as I was thinking of getting my suspension sorted when the car goes in for its mot this week. The car has only done 39k but it's 12 years old now. Is the drift works handling pack regarded as the best value option? I'd rather get it all done in one hit. I'm not looking to track the car and I don't want it too low.

Haha. I could imagine the burning smell and the mess if I did.

I'm thinking of getting a mini detail done. Nothin major. The paint is in good condition but there are a few swirls here and there under bright sunlight. Just basically needs going over with a mop and I'm thinking of having a coating applied. Nothing too expensive. I know it's not a new Porsche. Any recommendations and how much should I expect to pay? Are the cheaper protective coatings worth bothering with? Thanks

I know what you mean but I love them. They sound like those mental rally wide arch metros from when I was a kid. Not a relaxing car to drive though I definitley agree. Made me realise I'm not as good a driver as I thought on a few occasions.
-
I agree. Although there are more e46 m3's around my area. I guess the e46 is such an iconic car that low mile, clean, manual examples. are starting to rise in value. I think the one thing the Z has in its favour is that there is nothin else similar in the uk with a 3.5 V6. They're kinda unique in the UK.

The tank is between 1/4 and half full. The car come out of storage on Friday and there were no signs of leaks when it was moved. No leaks yesterday either. I'm not using the car at the moment. It's my second car and has been in storage sorn as I've had a load of work and family issues to deal with. It's currently sat on the drive and won't be going anywhere until it's sorted. The leak appears to be coming from where the line meets the tank......I think. And is only present when the engine is running. I'll be booking it in for its mot next week. Not expecting any other issues as it's had 2 services, tyres and new brakes in the last 1000 miles. I just hope this is a quick fix as the garage is a few miles away.

Does anyone think low mile, low owner, fsh cars will start to appreciate in the near future? Its started to happen with e46 m3's. Completely different car I know, but still an affordable performance car. The price difference between clean original cars and high mileage modded cars is considerable. Maybe the Z isn't popular enough or desirable enough to the masses?
