Little bit of time spare today so sorted out the plumbing for the air jacks.
90% of the parts came with the jacks but the rest has been ordered along with a proper air fitting 😉

I've missed two dead lines already the first was just silly tho so I'm not counting that one lol. The second was 21 oct drift matsuri. So fingers crossed it will be running at least by the new dead line. I know it's Gona have a year of development after its drivable to get everything good as it can be but I've used a lot of tried tested escort equipment so fingers crossed it should be pretty good out the box.
Anyway a little more done.
Just a alloy cover over the gear linkage. Bit of a tidy up having a early night tonight. 😢 getting old. Lol.

Bit more done this afternoon.
Firstly a nice solid gearbox mount used some old polybush anti tramp bars/brackets.
Did use the original mount but fount it too soft could lift the box up about a inch. 😢
Integrated it into the seat bars so there solid from left to right.
Next was a bit of cosmetic work.
Cut my new carbon gear gaiter to sit flush on the tunnel.
Then just bent up some alloy scrap to mount the hydro fluid pot further back as it was hitting my elbow. Also a new feed line made up ready.

Yes mate there will be a strut brace and most likely a cross brace I front of the engine between struts.
Although a standard escort inner wing is only 1mm steel with extra support panels on strut top running down the inside to the leg.
My hoops are 45mmX3mm CDS tubing Infilled with 1mm steel and also tied into the main frame so I think there be ok but a bit of bracing just to make shore 😉

Big push this week to get the middle section done before Xmas
Move onto mounting the front bodywork modding the front wings fitting rad all before end of Jan so I can get it painted ready for the rebuild in Feb so I have time to get it running and mapped for its first outing in March.

Got to collect the gear shifter tomorrow so thought I would bang a throttle peddle together so I can get him or maybe me to weld it up while I'm there.

Well seat is now all fixed in. Dash bar has been made and tacked in and ready for the peddle mount to be made.
May have to play with the bulk head to get full travel on the peddles.
Gear shifter has be welded up by me mate so just need to collect that so I can get on with the rest of the tunnel.

Made a start on the tunnel and seat mounts this week bit more tomorrow I'll get some pics.
Aiming to get this ready to paint by the new year.
Booked Castle Combe for the 18th March 2016 so dead line is firmly set now. Fingers crossed and finger out time. 😜
Also the new emerald K6 ECU has been sorted now that will be with me next week so I can start pulling the loom apart on the cold evenings

Build thread has been going a while now 90% of the fabrication has been done couple more hurdles to over come but hoping to have it in primer by the new year and first outing at castle Combe booked for the 18th March 2016 so I have a solid dead line to work to. 😊
Also bought another one to possibly make into a 2 litre turbo diesel tow car for the racer.
