  1. What kind of alloy is it? 3 days seems a bit excessive unless it's a diamond cut face which needs to go on a lathe. I'd expect one day turnaround if enough lead time was given and the job was booked in
  2. Much better! Back to your little wang.
  3. Someone I know has just gone from an elise to an Alfa 4c, they're going for about £50k. I was surprised to be honest I thought they were more. I too like the idea of a car which weighs nothing, iv never driven an elise so I have absolutely no input. But I'd love a go in one! I had a go in an aerial atom and I can only imagine it's similar, but with a roof.
  4. That is the most terrifying announcement I have ever heard in my life. I hope I never hear that again. The feeling of being absolutely powerless to save your loved ones is indescribable.
  5. I watched that episode of Only Fools and Horses last week where they build their lead bunker on top of a block of flats. They realised they couldn't make it to grandads allotment in under 4mins where they were originally going to construct it. So funny! I'm up North so as other have said I would probably flee further North to the Highlands. Does the Tesla radioactive air con setting seriously filter out radiation?
  6. I see my first ever car driving about sometimes. It was a blue 03' Peugeot 106 1.1 independence. I owned it for four years before I part ex'd it against an 06' BMW 320d SE for £200... I wish I kept it stored away under a sheet. Some good memories in that car.
  7. That doesn't sound a nice experience! Chocolate fountain springs to mind. I hope it all goes well!

    New Civic Type-R

1:45 the question everyone was wondering lol The current Type R is a bit of a weapon, Car throttle races his e46 m3 against the FK2 type R on a track which is interesting to watch. The FK2 running 306bhp on continentals will happily spin its tyres up once boost kicks in, in the dry, in a straight line. It can be quite a handful. I know of somebody who took his FK2 straight from the dealership to the nurburgring. I'm not sure how many laps he done, but he certainly melted the tyres! Needed new ones after the first week of ownership.

    I've succumbed

Aww I really wanted to see what they looked like. Iv seen older civic type r's copy the civic type r Fk2 red stripe using red tape. I had to get up close to tell.
  11. Yesterday I was giving my brother a lift, we agreed to go go-karting and I said I would drive. Lovely Sunday morning, I had my baffles out of the Japspeed K1 exhaust for a change and we were burbling along nicely. I see a 350z coming the other way, gunmetal grey the same colour as mine. He notices me and flashes his lights and waves as we pass each other. My brother looks bemused and says 'do you know that guy'? I reply 'nope, but he's driving a 350z' To which my brother responds 'I'v never had anyone wave at me for driving the same car' to which I tell him he should buy a zed! haha I love the zed community. Everyone is so friendly! Then I set the best lap out of the four people who were racing on the indoor go kart track. Brilliant day.
  12. Wow I didn't even know the likes of Audi sq5's had fake exits! I know of other cars but they're not exactly premium top of the range models like the sq5! Wow.. Just wow. You want a proper exhaust on a machine like that. Im sure iv seen sq5's with one huge oval single exit exhaust. Or is it sq3 I'm thinking of?
  13. How did they both pass out at the same time? If it was one person it would make more sense to me, but if your feeling light headed or dizzy surely you would exit the vehicle for some air? Or if your partner passes out in front of you surely you would get out the car to remove them if you think it may be gas related?
  14. 06 plate, azure blue with nismo sticker on bumper. Anyone? I know chances are slim but worth a spotted shot! I was in a Vegas Yellow Audi S1

    Supra MkV

That looks quite good I think! Tiny window on the boot lid must make visibility difficult and the roof reminds me of a Peugeot rc-z but if it's anything like the old supra in terms of performance then who cares!
  16. That looks like a stupid place to park if he's left it right on the end of that reservation.
  17. I used to be a valuer for an estate agency, I did follow up every valuation but I was flat out most of the time (albeit drinking coffee in people's houses). All enquiries and sales were for the most part dealt with via admin (negotitors) so don't be fooled by the guy who turned up. Also don't get hung up on price. If you know the price you want to list for then suggest it to the agent you feel most capable. And 9/10 times they will accept and list your house. Yes, if price is outrageous its dead stock but you never know who's out there and as an agent you never know how accomplished a vendor is at reviewing price when you and they know it's unlikely to be achieved. Iv not personally had experience with Internet agencies but I know they're usually cheaper fee's. From what iv been told, service does sometimes lack depending on how established they are. Also, negotiate selling fee's, you've got nothing to lose. If your not in a rush to sell and there's free or minimal withdrawal fee then it's worth a shot I guess if you're considering it.
  18. Dan, you will like this story. A friend of mine fell off a bike or similar and ruptured part of his rectory system. Had an op, was okay for years. One day he's in agony, goes to A&E and is advised the nurse will need to stick her fingers up his bum and have a feel around. So he goes in, the nurse starts.. Then he realises she is his best mates girlfriend / wife so he then wips out his phone mid process and texts his friend saying 'you'll never guess what your missus is doing to me right now'
  19. Best wishes Dan! Who knows maybe that fit nurse will stick her fingers up your bum to make sure everything is okay.
  20. A bit 2000 or 3000 grit sandpaper if really bad, followed by a DA polisher or foam polish pad on a drill bit with a nice dollop of cutting compound to Polish them back up. Mine were faded and compound worked a treat, meguiars is a good brand and easily obtainable. Halfords sell it for £12 a bottle. Ebay will offer you drill bit Polish pads as well for £5 or so UK domestic. Not to mention you can use the rest of the compound on any minor scratches you have on your paintwork. Edit: you can use a microfiber cloth with the compound to restore a clear surface. I was scared at first taking sandpaper to cars. Especially when your done and it's all white and scuffed up. But it polishes up easy enough. At least with plastic you don't run the risk of burning through clear coat like paint! As others said a sealing agent will help protect them, but it's not hard to apply some elbow grease once in a while to remove the oxidisation if you don't. I haven't.
  21. Probably just the mud guard underneath the front bumper, iv done it a couple of times on inclines. I thought weight in the boot might lift the front if anything.
  22. I had a scary situation a few months ago. I was driving back home having been for a nice meal in a small country pub. Driving down a very long and straight country road with loads of visibility. There was a one or two year old hyundai Ix35 or Santa Fe in front traveling about 35mph on an NSL road, so I indicate and speed up, almost behind him at this point and I pull out to pass him... Only he decides he doesn't want to be passed. And pulls into the MIDDLE OF THE ROAD and I slam my anchors on and hope I don't slide into the back of him. Luckily I never. So I continue following him whilst he is still driving in the middle of the road and about a mile or two further he pulls into a gated field. Absolute idiot should have just let me past.
  23. Thanks for sharing, I found that quite interesting. Dan - do you not fancy making a tyre review video for Michelin? You could ask for sponsorship and free tyres. Your the reason I bought a set of pilot super sports as well as many others on here. Imagine if you got commission!... Wait... Is there something your not telling us lol
