I wanna see it drive over some watermelons -
I watched this last week actually. Some ruined cars. No taste.

My brother has an s1 in vegas yellow, iv driven it. I'd say it would be close. He would for sure get the better of my off the line. I did happen to see if his old Audi TT 2.0 's tronic matched the zed from a 40mph rolling start. It did, it out pulled it. Every gear change I slipped behind. However the s1 being manual I'd say on a 40mph roll the zed would have it. As I said before from the line the s1 would be ahead. But I reckon the zed would reel it in with 50 bhp more. Wouldn't be a whole lot in it.

Being a guarantor / Bad credit / Divorce - small update
Exec replied to marzman's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I wouldn't take any of that bull, heck, I wouldn't even offer for them to stop over for a few months. But I'm an absolute a hole! Iv been in a similar situation where I allowed an in law to stop at our house for a few weeks, which turned into a few months due to bad judgement on their side. That's not my fault, and that wasn't the agreement. So they were evicted so to speak. I don't talk to them anymore, and I feel calmer and more composed by distancing myself. -
Im currently using a 40" TV as my monitor for main pc. It's plonked on top of my desk resting against the office wall behind! My 24" LG led monitor has retired to the attic. Not as flash as your setup! I need a new computer I'm running an old i3 processor still, I built the computer about 9 years ago.

I paid 7k in Sept 15 for a 05' DE 350z with 59k mileage. At the time I didn't fancy paying £500 tax for a rev up but looking back its fairly negligible. When you take into account I changed all four tyres for £500 soon as I got the car, a bit of bodywork which added up. If I had purchased a rev up 06+ with decent tyres already fitted then right now I'd still be quids in. Oh - I'm sure you will fit in just fine there's plenty of head room with the shape of the roof.

I'd agree with what nic and Ekona have said

Makes me wish I went to meet some of the community

I just wanted to know who everyone is following on YouTube? As I've shared in another thread I enjoy watching 'Chris Drifts' channel. I've recently found a guy called 'Jamie FYD' who reviews all sorts of cars. I like that they're all relatively cheap and attainable for most people. So my question is.. What are you guus watching and who else is out there doing car reviews/ blogging?
-
Wow that looks great fun, I don't know how I've missed this thread. If I were to get a track car id also consider the exact same cars you were focusing on. I hope you enjoy your purchase! Iv never driven one myself but I'd love a go. My mother's boyfriend has one and loves it, I was hoping I could blag a go but only a few weeks ago it went kaput and he isn't willing to rebuild. What I want to experience is revving a rotary to unbelievable levels and have it scream. Apparently you need to do this regularly to keep them healthy? I heard you have to be careful when turning them off as well as not to flood the engine. I'm glad youve got sorted, I would have also considered a z3, those are reasonable money nowadays. Any plans for mods?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY May it be filled with joy!

That looks in good general condition, where abouts is this item located?

Welcome, how does the driving experience compare to the Mr2? I see some people getting huge power from those T bar Mr2's

The way smart phones, computers, chip sets and technology in them advancing at such a fast rate it wouldn't surprise me. I mean, 15 years ago I was holding a Nokia 3310 thinking it was the pinnacle of technology because it had the game snake on it. I believe we will keep advancing and your sky taxi will eventually happen in the not so distant future. I'm a believer artificial intelligence will surpass human capability also. I read somewhere that this is predicted to happen by 2050 I think it was? Then there will be a debate about how it should be legal to marry a machine/ AI/ fembot as people fall in love with them. It will happen.

I'd hate to part with my zed, if money allowed I'd take it with me. Provided there are plenty of premium unleaded pumps in the Isle of skye

I would love an rx7, they are beautiful. Is it like a 5mpg job if you put your foot down? Iv seen some spit huge flames. Major cool points.

My brother got beaten doing a 1/4 mile along an airfield by a Vauxhall Astra sleeper. It was faded red and rusty and standard looking. My brother in his Audi TT 2.0 S-TRONIC with launch control on, gets owned by this Astra. Running low 13's and got beaten by this rusty old monster. It had a SAAB 2.5 conversion in it, a red top I think they said? You should do that. Sleeper!!

I'm North West too, Cumbria! I keep an eye out for other zeds, not many of them about! Welcome to the forum

I really enjoy his channel, more so now he has a 350z. It's also refreshing to hear nice comments about how competent a drift car it is as stock. I like to watch his new mods as well, I find it very interesting! He mentioned upgrading the diff. I wonder if he will weld it?
-
Damn! He crushed his new invidia on some tyres!! I would cry.
-
The inertia and obesity of your wallet also drastically alters when you charge and uprate your Z! Its a costly affair! Too much for me to justify anyhow. Especially when I see people selling their beautiful charged zeds recouping a fraction of what they shelled out. I'm sure it's bloody good fun though. I know somebody with a TT zed, approx 700bhp, apparently mods totalled £22k. So I think 22k + stock zed cost = a smidge off older generation higher mileage GTR

Chris Rock explains what to do when pulled over by the police. Aimed more toward Americans though haha
-
What I've done on all occasions, is as soon as I pull over, step out of the car, lock the doors and walk halfway to the police car. This avoids any misrepresentation of smells in my vehicle and there's higher probability to negate any potential searches which take up my time. If I was an officer and wanted to search somebody's car and didn't have a valid reason I would probably pull that card too. Corrupt I know. Also, Il never admit liability. Even if I know I've done something wrong, Il pick apart the story which lead to my pulling over. Without being cheeky of course. If you are well and truly screwed I would not say a word. At all. And just go with the officer to be detained. The less you say in a really bad situation the better.

Once when I was about 20 at midnight on an urban dual carriageway in a Peugeot 106. Said I was going too fast (I wasn't) and breathalysed me (blew 0). Maybe as I was wearing a shirt he thought I may have been out on the razzle? Or maybe he wanted to try out his new breathyliser. Second time about 5 years ago coming out of a small village just about to hit a B road and an officer stands in the middle of the road and has me do a random vehicle check (tyres, lights etc). This was in the Peugeot too. Bad luck that car was. Third time I was in a small van (Peugeot Partner I believe - bloody Peugeot) and I was delivering goods along the west coast when I get pulled over for a Christmas breath test. The police officer realises I'm working and says 'I'll let you go, no test for you' lol
