You don't see many white 350z's around and it's a lot of work to have a whole car re-sprayed, two nice looking unique cars If it were we I would have made two separate adds with more pictures of each + More spec, tyres, recent work done etc. Those wing mirrors look quite cool, not to mention the custom strut brace cover. GLWS

Wow iv just discovered this thread now, what a lot of work, Rather you than me! Is this huge shed going to be where all of the future meets are held? Are you adding a kitchenette and wc etc?

Great Job MD! What were you not so pleased about with the front bumper, certain edges? You've saved yourself 1k+ doing this yourself - yes the stress and hours may not seem worth it, but trust me Also - if you did pay someone to do this, you may not notice the flaws quite so much, as it was someone else's mistake if that makes sense.

Lets us see some more pictures! Good job, well done on the plaster fascia also.

K&N panel filter on mine which it came with

The listing has been edited by the looks of things, no longer states BHP figure I bought my 05' Gunmetal Zed with 55k miles for £7,000 CAP valuation was £6,400 on my car, haven't checked this one but this trader has racked up his margin considerably Who knows though, looks a nice car, will probably sell

SOLVED The noise was being caused by the Japspeed K1 exhaust which was touching the undertray/ brace. The previous owner had a piece of rubber between the two to stop the contact although this had worn through. Ah! Peace of mind

Last week I parked up at a friends house and six kids run over shouting 'nice GTR' I said I wish I had a GTR and one shouted 'It looks like a GTR'. Then one of their fathers said I had made their day when I walked past! Lol

I done the old toothpaste trick on mine this week, looking crystal clear now. I used collate with cleaning crystals . As others have said it will need sealed to keep it like that for some time. It just takes that oxidised layer off the plastic. I remember people used to recommend peanut butter as a black plastic restorer.. I never tried that lol

Just passed you 9:50 on opposite side of m'way. Lookin' good

When revved you cant hear the noise, im not sure whether it goes away completely or is just masked. Think it may be a belt of some sort? As mentioned before only seems to happen when warmed up
-
I am right in saying that if it was the throw out bearing the noise would be affected by the clutch? The noise comes and goes, only noticeable when the engine is warm and idling. In the vid i think its more audible as i was on a slight incline. Im leaning more and more toward this being the timing belt, maybe needs tension adjusted or new belt?

What zmanalex said ^^ I would continue to wind up the scammer and play along, but thats just me
-
Here is a sample of the noise I recorded, still not sure what this noise is and if this is normal. Could well just be a loud timing belt spinning?
-
It has crossed my mind it may be exhaust catching the underway? It has a Japspeed k1 at present, I guess I will find out
-
Hmm I'll check that out tonight, just in case and for future reference does anybody know any recommended garages in North West?

Hi guys, One week into ownership and I have noticed an engine noise, only when warm after 20mins or so of driving. I wouldn't call it a knock, more of a Fluttering noise which isn't there at all when started cold and only noticeable when idling warm. Car is an 05 DE UK Gt spec with 55k miles, car had been serviced and mot before I bought it. Oil level seems okay although I am planning on topping up as soon as ordered oil arrives. If this doesn't make a difference which I don't think it will I'm going to delve further. Next investigation will be replacing the fuel damper to see if this helps? It did cross my mind this noise may be normal with all 350z but I don't think so. Noise audible more so from cabin rather than outside. I did try and record but very difficult to hear the noise on phone audio. Iv only run the car on premium since purchase. I do hope this turns out to be an easy fix!

I've got a Japspeed K1 - it came with the 350z I bought last week! Driving back 90 miles without the baffles left me with tinnitus lol

NOW BOUGHT
-
I would just go and get it out the bank Sarnie, but withdrawing 7k requires notice and/ or splitting the money between accounts to withdraw 2k per one, iv only got three card accounts. I think I was more angry at finding out at 12:00 when I had arranged to set off for a long journey at 5:00 after a hard days work. Yes, it could have been worse. I could have found out when I got there

I thought if anything cash would be inconvenient! this doesn't seem like some back street garage the 350z is one of the cheaper motors alongside some quite flash sports cars. I can only think about them not declaring the cars value to HMRC now you mention it. I'm quite disappointed as I really wanted to buy the car and drive it back tonight , the dealer could have told me yesterday when we initially arranged to meet. I've had to cancel my transport, my brother was going to give me a lift. Shame really.

So last night I spot a car I quite fancy, a little out of my budget, I call the car dealership who have it so see if price is negotiable. The dealer didn't dismiss my offer, said he would think about it and call me back, which he did 10 mins later. 'Yes we would be wiling to accept that figure you offered, although as the car has a low tyre on its m.o.t advisory we wouldn't be willing to fix this as that price, the car was taken as a part ex and we want quick sale' Fantastic I though, I'll see you tomorrow I said. Tomorrow comes and I get a text - 'how are you paying for the car?' 'by card' I reply. 'for that price I would only be willing to accept cash, if you paid full price I would take card' So I called off my journey after work to go and see this car, as I wanted to buy it there and then. Its not like I can wander into the bank and withdraw this amount of money on my way there. Anybody else had a similar situation? is there some kind of tax incurred for a tradesman to accept debit?

No new panel needed, probably about £250 worth of damage, needs fillered and painted. Sucks when you don't have anything new to show and money out of pocket. I can't work out what's going on in that reflection, are you naked?

Thanks guys, I was going to buy the one you now own Belfast boy. You beat me to it. Grrr lol Iv missed out on one or two over the last few weeks. Still looking. Quite adamant on sub 70k miles and must not be Cat C
