  1. Ouch! sorry for your loss, what a beautiful car. Held up pretty well, I wonder how fast was the other car going? Are you going to get another to replace it?
  2. Wow good job on the footage, at least you know who it was. Must be a terrible feeling knowing your car isn't safe on your own drive - could've been worse. I read every day about people keying cars and know first hand the costs involved having to get then repaired.
  3. I've found PH to be evolving negatively also, nobody seems as friendly on there as they used to be. They all seem to be big powerfully built directors who just want to voice their opinions Much nicer and more relevant for me on this forum. Nice colour Zed and I do like the wheels though, Headlight film isn't for me either, to each their own.
  4. I may call them back and negotiate - il supply the oil etc. I wouldnt mind if it was a p3 but its just a minor. Im based North West.
  5. So today I booked my first service for the Zed, since the book has 7 out of 9 Franchise stamps I feel obliged to continue. £256 for a minor service at Nissan - I asked what was involved - an oil and filter change. What some of us will pay for a stamp in the book!
  6. I had tc light flickering yesterday morning on work commute. I might borrow the suzuki swift if it gets worse. I thought I had executed a perfect rwd slide in a BMW once.. Then ended up in a ditch. A shallow ditch, luckily.

    Fuel advice

My shell garage got flooded so I'm using BP Ultimate 97 for the last three refills. I travelled quite a distance to the second nearest Shell garage only to discover they don't stock V-Power. I was quite disappointed! Iv never used tesco 99, maybe next time.
  8. Iv never driven one, my younger brother is getting a new TT quattro S Tronic, not quite the beast you have there but 230 bhp and 0-60 in 5.3 which is pretty quick off the mark. Il have to have a go in it once he gets it.
  9. Mine affixed behind rear view mirror over black dots just fine. Put a bit of spit on the suction cup
  10. My house was built in 88', I'd still call it a new build as it's amongst an Estate built in the 60's, my garage is just small though, I haven't attempted to get the zed in over fears of damaging it. I did try and get my e90 BMW in though, it went in, but I couldn't open the door to get out . Before the zed I considered getting a little Elise or something as a weekend car which would actually fit in the garage
  11. Not worth plastic welding, probably not possible either. New wing mirror.
  12. I got a dashcam for Christmas! It's this one: http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-2-7-LCD-HD-1080P-Video-Camera-Dash-Cam-Recorder-In-Car-DVR-Night-Vision-/171823134786?nav=SEARCH Ive never had one so I can't compare one from another, it's in my car now tucked in front of the rear view mirror. It takes a micro so card and it's easy to check on the pc the footage. Unfortunately you can't make out reg plates on mine, even on high quality recording mode. Another slight negative, it's got motion detect although for this to work the device needs power, when the engine is off so is the 12v socket so it doesn't work. Fairly easy to run the wires behind passenger seat, and along/ tucked inside rubber lining to the windscreen. Iv already painted it black, the blue stood out too much I don't really want people to know it's there.
  13. I work within a popular Japanese car dealership. Before that I worked for an Estate Agency as a Valuer, visiting people's homes, drinking loads of coffee and giving them a market appraisal. Very interesting meeting a variety of people and seeing their cars and hobbies etc.
  14. I'm on 16mg juice, 18mg if I have to buy the generic tobacco flavours at the garage when I run out and can' wait days for shipping. I accidently got 24mg the other week and that made vaping not so enjoyable. Couple of puffs and I'm done, not an enjoyable experience. No intentions of lowering my usage or stopping, I'm quite happy doing what I'm doing. Yeah I get a couple of weeks of non stop vaping lol its an Itaste VTR metal thingy I got on eBay for £35 or so. Had to buy batteries and charger separate so I got Samsung lithium batteries and a twin charger so if one dies iv got another on stand by. It's a heavy robust device, like the ak-47 of vapes, you could drive over it with a truck and it would still work fine. Only trouble I'm having at the moment sounds quite embarrassing.. im suffering tank leakage
  15. Iv been vaping for some time, I've been through a few devices in that time also. The cig-a-likes which are the same shape and size as a traditional analogue cigarette didn't have a big enough battery for my liking, even with a charger pack. I liked how these were small and discreet. I used to smoke them in the office without alerting any of my coworkers. The ego style round shaped cheap ones would break every now and again as I would usually end up sitting on them in my back pocket. I got an 'Itaste' big metal variable voltage thing which iv failed to destroy to date. It has a battery life of about three weeks and could probably jump start a car if I needed to get the jump leads out! The thing weighs a ton though. As for juices I stick to the tobacco ones myself, I did take a liking to bubblegum but always revert back to tobacco. More so a particular brand steeped from real leaves called 'cubana' made by a ccompany called T-Juice. Iv always been a cigar type of guy, this liquid does it for me
  16. Welcome Georgina, Best of look getting the car you are after, zeds for sale on here is a good place to keep an eye on, as well as autotrader, Gumtree and Ebay. It took me about six months to find the one I was after. Quite a lot of money involved in supercharging a zed, about 5k by the sounds of things, going from what the experts say on here! Sounds like you want to totally change the zed, kinda like Amy and her show car:
  17. Merry Christmas all! I got zed badges and a dashcam from oh
  18. At £6k I would be looking at a DE 2006 or older, I recently bought a 05' gunmetal grey with 55k for £7000, although it did need some prep (x4 tyres) £550 and £200 paintwork. But it was what I wanted so I didn't mind paying good luck with your search, I was on the lookout for about 6 months. Now does seem like a good time to buy, with winter and all.
  19. More pics! I'm sure you could build one for a bit less than 2.5k Ricey!
  20. I recognised this immediately, it was only last week I was reading the whole project thread. The six drilled holes in the bumper look purposeful, you can tell this is far from stock (I know it is)
  21. Ouch! Attacked by your own car! Iv noticed mine will fall if not opened fully and held for a few seconds. If I had the added weight of a large spoiler it would definitely fall down regardless. Hope your injury heals quickly. Could've been worse, could have broken your nose!

    HELP

Jetset is right, I hope you find a free towtruck! I'm in a badly hit area. Luckily my house is fine and out of the way although some cars are almost totally submerged. There are helicopters outside right now flying back and forth. Got elec back on this morning luckily.
  23. Ouch! When I was shopping for a zed I came across a lot with front lips cracked and smashed to pieces. You need one of those rock guards you see on 4x4 off roaders! I'm happy with the height of the zed stock I couldn't imagine lowering it, speed humps would kill it

    HELP

Hope all goes well with the garage Alastair, keep us updated. Storm Desmond seems to be wreaking havoc! neighbors shed roof blew off and landed on the roof of my fathers car. Kendal isn't far from me up North, I used to drive a van through there daily and I know how bad it can get.
