Yes the engine failure % on the 08-09 plates what's a lot more .... can't remember why , something to do with engine supplier . I'm on my 2nd s2k . Up your budget and get a good 04-07 and I reckoned you'll make money on it . Rust is an issue though , just like the older Zed's really . Just have a good look around the rear arches when you view the car . First thing I done was rub all the rear arches down to metal and protect them .

All depends on your financial situation really . If you can afford to keep the zed and get a newer practical family car then do so . I personally wouldn't over stretch myself to do so though . You can always get another zed/fun car in the future when the times right . All part and parcel of having kids , and you can be miserable about it or appreciate what you've got ..... I know I'm very happy with our 2 young boys Congratulations!

Increase your budget a tad and get the newer x-trail .... we've had ours for about 2 years now and it's been great . Avg 47mpg , think it's £150 to tax . Cheap to insure and very comfortable. A cracking family car .

... well my rev limiter is at 9k !? Pretty sure this is standard on a ap1 ... the ap2 with the bigger 2.2 engine ( not available in the U.K. ) limited was set at 8k

Right need to make a decision about the wheels .... below is a pic of the exact car of mine ( not mine as I've dropped it off at tims ) The wheels are silver but the spoke faces are diamond cut , so shiny. I'm thinking of doing the wheels in a very light grey with the diamond cut face .... what's your thoughts ? Will it be too busy ? Just stay with the silver oem?

yes I'd agree this probably is more fun when you fraction in what it cost to buy and run compared to the m3 . Glad I had the M though as they truly are special cars . ..... just a lot of money sat on the drive , when you're only doing 2-3k miles a year .

Yes they are great cars ! That guy it's proper nuts ! No helmet! Mine will by no means end up like that track based car ... just looking to get the ohlins on and address the Alighnment issues if it has any ( known s2k issue with the bushes / bolts seizing) , then I'll get the underside full undercoated and protected ( as is is getting on in years !) Next up will be to change the stereo/speakers and to put some nice alcantara in the interior along with the jack royal steering wheel I've ordered . ...........

I believe they are forged from factory is that correct They easily take more power Yes fully forged and easily handle sound 500 bhp ( some in USA are running 700 on stock engine !) .... it's the drive train that's weak link . I'll be very happy to end up with. 370-400bhp , certainly enough in a 1250kg car !

9k ! Still in this day and age the s2000 engine is something special... just needs a bit more go go

Yep a little s2k ! Had one about 10 years ago and had forgotten how good they are ! Just so light and nimble compared to other cars I've had recently.

No it wasn't ! ( happily paid 12.5 for it ) And I should really keep it completely standard , as I'm sure it would go up quite a bit in value ...... no way I'm going to though , haha í ½í¸‚

Can't mate ..... as the paints not up to my OCD standard but will be once Tim @ envy has done his magic It's a Beauty though ... 04 plate , 11 Honda stamps and only 25k on it !!

Update ! M3 has gone .... looked and test drove lots of cars .... went cheaper with a view with waxing loads of money on mods ! Hahaha Back to what I love ..... tastefully modded jap Only picked it up yesterday . Given the engine bay a clean today and it's off tomorrow for a week of paint correcting /ceramic coating and wheel refurb . Ordered ohlins suspension that will be fitted asap ...

Yours wasn't a yellow zed was it? Use to be on the corner next to Rushington round about. No I had a night blue supercharged one ..... you would have never seen it though as I never really drove it !

Nope !! Still here , very much enjoying it still ...... And yet still always on PH and autotrader !! Hahaha How you getting on with your mustang? There is a red one local to me with air ride , exhaust and big wing . Looks proper mean !!
