And you Mick. Got to love slash cut - here's a better view...
-
So I've only managed a month of zed ownership on the stock system. I popped in to see Mick at Cougar Store yesterday and had the full Cobra system fitted - what a difference it makes, worth every penny. Sounds absolutely brilliant on start-up and on when hammering it, but cruising along at 80-90 in 6th you wouldn't really know you weren't on an OEM system - there's no drone at all. And my god it brings the synchrorev to life, slipping it down into second is now a joy, I'll never tire of the noise. Huge thanks to Mick @ Cougar who made the whole process a piece of cake - and thanks to forum member naz2k5 for helping me make the decision Here's some pics (first couple borrowed from Cougar Store). I'll try to sort some audio clips too...

I emailed and tweeted them back in January about it, they ignored both. Let me know if they respond...

I was sure this was going to be me... I'm still yet to see another 370 in Nottingham since picking mine up.
-
Great car and good choice!
-
Sadly not. Was definitely in silver, not white. I was literally just telling a mate how rare 370's were when he said "isn't that one". And sure enough it was.
-
My first 370z spot, unfortunately I was in the back of an A3. The 370z was silver and parked up near Haymarket station, the 350z was grey and driving through the city - both on Saturday afternoon.
-
I'll keep an eye out. Not seen a black 350 around recently...
-
Great colour combo - love it
-
What happened to the video mate? It says removed by user. Am considering these myself and would be intrigued to hear it...

Well that's it, I'm definitely flashing and possibly waving from now on, so watch out. My old Z4 was in Stratus Grey. Being the boring bastard I am I worked out there were probably less than 10 in the same colour left in the uk. And then I saw one coming towards me on an A-road in Norfolk. Flashed AND waved and guess what I got back. A puzzled look. It's going to be different with this zed I'm sure...
-
Just wondering, do you 350z drivers acknowledge other 350's on the road? Likewise for 370z drivers? Only had mine for a couple of weeks so far and have covered a few hundred miles. So far spotted a couple of 350's in and around Notts, but not a single 370. Do you generally give a flash and a wave? And if so is it often reciprocated? Previously I was in a Z4 Coupé, generally other Z4 drop-tops wouldn't acknowledge me, but other Coupés were more likely too. Guess it was a rarity thing, there are a hell of lot more convertible Z4s around after all. Now I think I'm right in saying there's even fewer 370's on the road, so I'm keeping my eyes peeled for my first spot...

59 plate. That may be it.

Apologies if this has been covered before, couldn't find much on the search. I've tried to switch on the auto door locks as described here but it doesn't seem to work: www.350z-uk.com/topic/41856-370z-vehicle-speed-sensing-auto-door-lock/ Does anyone know if it's available on all models? Or if it can be disabled altogether somehow? Mine isn't on at the moment, but I'd like it to be. I'm a bit funny about locking the doors and ideally they'd do so the minute I got in!

Congrats on the purchase - I personally really like the grey and would've considered one myself had my previous motor not been grey. Looks great with a set of black wheels
-
Are you actually fitting them at the weekend then? Brave man. Please report back as I'm really fancying these as a cheap stop-gap until I get a full cat-back system. Just found this very thorough sound demo, just hope it doesn't sound like it does at 1:49 all the time!
-
Been looking at these too, but am concerned they may drone horribly at speed. Can't find sound clips of the Cybox version, but here's one of the AAM version...
-
I'm surprised just how much the zed does turn heads. Drove past around 20,000 Nottingham Forest fans at the weekend and they weren't half having a good look - so much so that I got a little paranoid and thought there was something wrong with the car. There wasn't - it just looks awesome.
-
I watched a review of the 370z just before I bought mine in which they said the road noise was so bad it would put them off owning them. Now I must be deaf as I swear it's no worse than anything else I've driven. Maybe that just says more about my previous choice of cars though...
-
I'll check the connections tonight when I get in. There are no senors on show on the bumper, certainly not the usually flush, round type. I wondered if there were behind-the-bumper type installations.
-
Thanks for that - I'll pay more attention from now on.

So I went for a drive this weekend and all of a sudden a beep starts emitting from somewhere in the dash - totally freaked me out but there were no warning lights, and it kind of came and went so I thought nothing else of it. Went out again later in the day and it's doing it again, and going a bit nuts this time - so I decide to thoroughly investigate. Turns out I must have front parking sensors, and it's fair to say they're malfunctioning. Just to the left of the hole where you'd put the key fob is a small square push button, it sits in either an on or off position. I must have knocked it with my knee when I went out for that first drive. I'm not particularly bothered about using them, never really had any issues parking cars if truth be told, but I would like to fix them. There's no exterior clues at all (same for the rears). Does anyone else have a similar system fitted and have any ideas where to look (I know the front bumper is a good place to start)? Thanks in advance. EDIT: Oops, this was meant to be in 370z General - sorry mods. Not woken up yet.

Lovely looking pair. And this is so true. Keep saying this to people when they're asking about my new zed.

It may well depend on the insurance company anyway, much like it does with vehicle groups. I was actually trying to find this postcode checker earlier, puts mine in the same category though: http://www.visitcars.co.uk/car-insurance/insurance-post-code-risk.html

Yes, I'm sure there are loads of other influencing factors, I thought it was interesting nonetheless. I'm in NG2 which is more or less in the middle of the risk scale according to this: http://www.carinsuranceexplained.com/car-insurance-explained/car-insurance-postcode-risk-list.html
