  1. I just popped out to the petrol station to fill up and got some glances, I thought it was because I looked dodgy and they thought I might flee without paying though
  2. Fair play to the guy he's worked hard, I'm sure I met him at japfest last year (when we all stuck down some narrow farm track) and I'm pretty sure he didn't look like that then. You certainly won't find me posting photos of myself in gym gear on here.....no matter how great I look lol
  3. I did a 26 mile Thames path challenge last year, took me over 3 months to manage a long run again afterwards, and that's without sustaining any injuries. That's why I've decided to start using weights as I think it will help increase speed and endurance, more than running alone. Good luck S7nny, know a few others done the tough mudder challenge and its.....well tough lol When all's said and done, it's 90% mindset on the day, so just think positive. Hope the physio goes well!
  4. Bonjour & welcome Wow, a Nissan man in France! All the French people I know are extremely patriotic and stick religiously to French cars.....even when they move to England! Just got back a couple of weeks ago from a driving holiday in France and motorways were full of Citroen/Peugeot/Renault. Hubby did really well to hit the only non-French car on the road....a Porsche Cayenne
  5. Lol....loved Vegas, went travelling through Canada and America few years back and ended up in LV, didn't loose too much money but came back a married lady! Fancy going back, never got to do the Grand Canyon Not sure how often you go offshore, but word of advice.....you might want to invest in a battery charger if you're going to be leaving your zed for any period of time. Jap cars are rubbish, I have to jump start both the zed and the Scooby every time I come back off hols!
  6. I probably am being a bit harsh It's probably more to do with the loud exhaust and the louder music (so I can actually hear it over the exhaust)......was just expecting something a bit more deeper, base-like, more butch even. Not too worry, doubt I'll use it again.
  7. sorted You a mod now then, ioneabee? When that happen? Congratulations:)
  8. If it counts....I do Bodyfit by Amy: Amy's 10 min kettle bell workout (it's on YouTube) it's a killer....hoping it's going to make me look like Amy soon Lifting 6 kg at the moment....don't laugh, doing it more to strengthen for running & netball. Diet wise - I'm more Mo Farah, that's lean protein not Khat. Not sure I have the free time to do mega gym sessions like you guys.....
  9. Yeah, but I was in a built up area.....elderly people nearby, didn't want to scare them. Besides, thought I'd try out the horn..........see how it sounds(!)
  10. DaveAllen....they sell them on Ebay. There's a car that drives past my office every lunchtime and gives a Dixie horn blast...big hedge in the way so never actually see what car it's attached to! Not sure the gunshot would work Humpy....abandoned cars & people fleeing might cause more traffic issues Edit: just been told the Dixie horn is attached to a rather nice black 1960/70s mustang Awesome....love American muscle cars!
  11. Sorry, I got as far as 'Marine' and then everything went all fuzzy 'n dreamy lol Only joking, welcome aboard mate.....nice zed, is that the Vegas-sunset version?
  12. Really is that the best Nissan could come up with???? I've clearly never used the horn on my car before.......but had to use it today to wake a fellow road user up, and was a little taken aback by it's timid nature! Could barely hear it over the exhaust and it felt like the noise was coming from someone else's car. It made a little feeble "Erm, excuse me....could you please go, the lights are green" noise, when I was expecting more of a "WAKE UP!!! ARE YOU STUPID?? THE LIGHTS ARE GREEN.....DON'T STOP AND WAIT FOR THEM TO TURN RED. YOU MORON!!!". I'm guessing this is the point where I find out I missed out on the group buy for Dixie Horns lol
  13. Is there a ChildLine equivalent for abused & unloved 370's????? Incidentally, I have 3 cars to tax, collectively OH and I do a lot of miles, all 3 cars have low mpg and high fuel prices.....I daren't even work out what we spend (probably single-handily supporting the Government). I just pay it and get on with it, like council tax!
  14. Lovely colour Oh man, got a real hankering to upgrade again lol
  15. For £7, they cut a hole in the glass to change the bulb
  16. Whenever I go in to buy a bulb they always ask if I need help fitting it (for £7!!!). Do they say that to their male customers also or are they just being patronising? Bet I'd end up needing a complete rewire and probably a new clutch if I let them change my bulb.... The 17yr old music centre expert tried to tell me that it was impossible to replace the radio in the Scooby without cutting a big hole in the fascia first, luckily I declined his help and lol and behold it did fit without any carving.....a miracle duh! They do sell nice Scooters though, and you can leave the kids to play on them and pick them up a couple of hours later
  17. No, not round your way.....more West Surrey. Never see fellow Azure's.....all the 350s and 370s seem to be black, white or silver in Surrey. But will keep looking
  18. You're right Ad, and I probably need to spend more time behind the wheel to get a true feel for the car. I still enjoyed it, and it was SuperCar day! So, it was pretty cool being able to overtake all the Megabucks cars, the guy driving the Lambo must have been really disappointed OH seems relieved with my first impressions of it though.......his cheque book is safe for a while longer lol
  19. If the one in Reading is anything to go by, they only employ real high class staff that like to stand around outside in groups, havin' a fag, and leering at women in nice cars. Apparently I warrant heckles like "playboy" when I visit Screwfix (opposite them) they were lucky I wasn't purchasing a staple gun last Friday!!!! Seriously, find your GF a decent mechanic at a reputable garage!
  20. Really? Always fancied a go in a Hummer.....had visions of me just driving over all the cars in my way on the M4. Maybe a tank would be better then Hmm.... Seems I need another go in the GT-R then
  21. You're a project man So, the GTR is your daily? I could quite easily use one as my daily ride, just need to convince OH!
  22. Oh I agree, definitely not anywhere near its limits. I mean I was pushing hard, a couple of laps in and the driving instructor said he was happy I knew what I was doing and could give it some and have a bit of fun, but it clearly it had so much more to give. But to be honest I'm not a complete nutter and don't drive the zed on its limits either. But that's not the point I was making, power and handling, the GT-R wins hands down but the ride just felt a little too refined and polished....I missed the rough, rawness. My buttocks remained un-clenched, so to speak lol You obviously don't agree? Maybe someone should let me borrow their GT-R, so I can have another drive
  23. Have always loved the big muscle cars like skyline and GT-R, grew up in awe of the GT-R safety car used in Superbikes and always wanted one. Got to take one out on track yesterday and don't get me wrong, it was awesome. Never driven an automatic in my life, and never want to as I like to be in control of the car, not let the car choose which gear it thinks I should be in, but I got the hang of the paddle gear shift really quickly and it does save time not having to take your hands off the wheel. The car was incredibly powerful and effortless, very precise. It goes exactly where you want it to, perfect set up for grip and stability (track was initially damp). I was conscious of the weight though, particularly into tight hairpin bends but found because of the set up I was able to brake later and jump back on the throttle much quicker than the other cars and so was able to overtake on corners as well as the straights It does feel big though, you sit so much higher, a lot of gizmos to play with plus it has seats in the back, as long as your passengers don't need leg room But I did miss the feedback I get from the zed, I know mine is maybe set up a little different to standard 350s but I love the way I can feel the camber and road surface back through the wheel and when I push a little too hard, the back end starts to slide away. The zed can be twitchy and punishes a sloppy driver but it definitely feels more fun to drive I noticed it straight away jumping from the GT-R back to the zed. So.....always thought I would upgrade the zed for a GT-R but now I don't think that would work! The GT-R would make a great daily ride. Very comfortable, easy but powerful, practical and to be honest after 2 hours stuck in traffic my left leg starts to cramp up so the paddle gears would be a very welcome option. It feels a bit like driving the Scooby in terms of road handling, guess that's the AWD vs RWD. But I wouldn't want to give up my zed for that....not just yet, anyway
