  1. Got a P3 done with Mitz at Cougar Stores. Great guy and totally worth the 200 mile round trip. Would go back anyday. Hit 64k so did my own spark plugs based on the great guide I found here. Took 3 hours for me to do, but I am a little particular when doing these things hence long time. Fairly easy to do, although make sure you have a few extension bars which are long enough to get down to the plugs.
  2. So after a few months with the Zed I felt the rear end needed some additional splittering. Looked a many different options on good old Google Images and got a lot of ideas from all the cars at Wales 2014. Decided the splitter I liked best was the ES Esprit Rear Apron, it was the one I liked from the start and despite carbon alternatives I kept coming back to the Espirt. Found that Keyser had the same on his and got some great advice from him. The plain carcass was supplied by EP Racing, great service from them. When it turned up seemed a bit stick on style and rather basic! Lets just say it needed some work . . . Used my trusty local bodyshop and briefed them on what I wanted to achieve: 1. Has to look part of the bumper, 2. Fully blended in 3. Eyelet for Tow hook must still be functional 4. Parking Sensors still work 5. Paint must be spot on and blended in 6. Solid and not flimsy and bounce around Although they are a great body shop I was not entirely convinced how good the end result would look! Body shop used - Martin Pollard http://martinpollardbodyrepairs.co.uk/ However could not be happier with the end result. Blended in and solid as a rock. For me it finishes the rear end beautifully. Really happy with it.
  3. Mod 2, carbon wrapping of my B-Pillar, made it look much better especially as the old plastic was a little scratched/faded/ Carbon wrapped looked great, was my first time wrapping, used Hexis 4D vinyl, was really easy to do. A Must I would say for anyone with a carbon fibre fetish like I have!!!! Ebay link to the wrap I used. . . . http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131030139339?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Next came the Rear Divider from Ian - Aka 14N. Great Divider and got a Red "Z" on it, which really looks great. Showing off B Pillar Wrap and Divider. Although it seems Zeditis is catching on . . . . . :scare:
  4. 1st Mod! Nismo flat decal sticker on the rear looked bit low rent in my opinion, so got a more 3D silver one instead. Mod Number 1 - Done!
  5. Moved from an Alfa Romeo 3.0 GTV V6, which I owned and dealry loved for 4 years. Great car, but yes it is true what they say about Alfa's "Always going wrong"! Although being truthful, it never left me stranded on the roadside, but it did take alot of money keeping it on the road and replacing parts which in most normal cars would last double the length of time. Nevertheless it was a great 4 years of ownership. But it got to the point which I am sure most of you have reached everyso often, you just feel like a change. So bought the Z above and sold the Alfa. . . .I do miss the sound of the Italian Busso engine . . . .
  6. Never done a build thread before, but have recently been intrigued by reading others. Thought it would be a good place for me to keep a memoir of my Z. If you are hoping for serious modding in this thread you may want to move on! There is not going to be any crazy engine mods, FI or NOS going one here. So already had the Z for 18 months, so the first few posts will be of progress to date. . . . First day I bought the car. . . . .2004, 54K, FSH, Nismo body kit on.
  7. No problem. Come down when you finish. Anytime after 19:00 is fine. would be good to meet you
  8. Recently have noticed a few more Z's around Cheltneham and Gloucester. Just wondering if anyone was up for a mini meet? Plan is to meet on Wednesday 9th August 19:00 at the Aviator Pub at Staverton Airport.(GL51 6SR) Good little pub with food, drink and a big car park. http://www.theaviatorglos.co.uk This is open to anyone from the forum who wants to join. Get your name down for the 1st Cheltenham Z meet. . . .(I think) 1. Monkeybrain1234 .
  9. See you at Le mans in a Clio then Dan!!
  10. It's not about 'Miles' to the Gallon. It is about Smiles' to the Gallon. :teeth:
  11. Thats because your Z looks like it will eat anything that try's to race it . . .
  12. The Z is quite difficult to get off the line quickly I find. Power is better as the engine gets past 4,500 rpm. I am not a major traffic light racer, but every so often you just have to and would say my sucess for a really good standing still start is a bit hit and miss. (Maybe I need more practise!)
  13. Sound like a good plan. Will PM you,
  14. It could have been me? My Z looks similar, although not with cool wheels and Scoop like GeorgeW. But I do live in Cheltenham and work in Glos with a Red Z. There are quite a few Z's in Cheltenham I have seen recently. (Assuming its me) Yeah I have dam good style! Very nice Z fella, the Red looks really good. I'm not sure anymore, could have been. Although I am pretty damn sure I've seen you parked up the top of churchdown near Chosen Hill school.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yeah that would be me for sure. Best mate lives there, so makes sense for sure. Small world P.s. Sorry for hyjacking your thread George.

  17. Nice Evora Paul. Bet that's a change from the Z. On my list of future cars. How is it?
  18. I can't make up my mind between polished or Wrinkle Red Paint!!!!!
  19. Rest of the car sounds great. May give it a 'shot' !!!
  20. Would you buy this - CAT B because of Blood! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151761601264?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D151761601264%26_rdc%3D1
