  1. Thanks all Will give this a go over weekend, or may just pop it to a garage during the week. Seems quite a simple thing to do.
  2. Alright alright. I get your point. lol. Thanks for heads up. I had adjusted it myself 2 years ago and did find that if you took it too far you got the issue of not returning but it felt very different to this feeling. For last 2 years it's been perfect so think fluid change is a good idea as it's dark in colour too.
  3. Anyone got a guide on doing this, I cannot seem to find one. . .
  4. After working the clutch a bit today in some traffic, it started to not want to return from about halfway. It came back with some encouragment from under the pedal. It did this a few times, then traffic cleared. Got to my meeting, got back in car 3 hours later and pedal was fine with no issues. Have researched a bit on the forum on this and it seems it could be a couple of things: Slave Cylinder or/and fluid. Looked at my clutch fluid and its rather black (something I read which could indicate its been cooked) Picture below shows the colour of the new brake fluid as reference. (1 month old brake fluid) Does the clutch fluid look cooked??? No idea if my slave is on the outside of the gearbox or not, its a 2005 DE. But my question is should I just change the fluid and hope for the best or do the slave and fluid? Also how easy is it to change the fluid myself, do I need a bleed kit like when bleeding the brakes?
  5. A few people have been asking about these recently. Sure it will sell quickly.
  6. Based in Cheltenham! How fast would you have to drive to do that run in an hour! Could be interesting. Paisely freight is around £50.
  7. Great read & really good mods to the car Fella. That road trip to Europe seems epic. Can I join next time!!
  8. I had PF pads on my Alfa GTV V6 before. Great pad for fast road driving and no squeal either with hardly any dust. Best brakes I have come across on a car (other than TVR Sagaris brakes which where non ABS and had endless feel and bite). Never done any track time on the PF, but heard they were great on track too. I know the Z is a different car/setup but would happily recommend PF any day of the week.
  9. Good point, thought it was 10:30. I will not be able to make it any earlier myself as got friends over night before. You can all meet earlier and I will just meet you all in Yate, around 10:30.
  10. Cool. How about we meet at Gloucester service station at 9:45 to leave at 10:00. It's on the M5 between junction 11a & 12 going south. Can aim to be in Yate for 10:30
  11. No issues. The loaders are generally very accommodating.
  12. Shame but expected with that number of people coming. Any more than 30 for such a run is always going to be carnage.
  13. Makes my Easter seem very very boring. Glad you had fun Alex
  14. Think I will avoid doing any of these things and just keep using Vpower religiously.
  15. Call me old fashioned but I believe that if you cannot afford to buy it outright then don't buy it. For fairly obvious reasons mortgages are okay as we all need a roof. (Besides they are generally an appreciating asset) 90% of all new cars depreciate rather quickly. So despite the fairly small monthly cost that money is basically the cost of paying the depreciation. I.e you will never get it back. Free servicing on a new car is a gimmick and not worth that much to be honest. So the Only winners here are the dealer's. Sorry for being a pesimist If you want something newish I would say get a finance deal on a 2\3 year old car. That way someone else has already paid the steepest part of the depreciation curve! P.s feel free to ignore my boring no fun advice.
  16. I agree it's not hard. Maybe I just got flustered with it on first attempt. Will give it another go. P.s. felt disc surface today and the are not smooth. Like they have small grooves. Surely the disc should be smooth after bedding in correctly??
  17. Call me old school but I feel it's an important part of life to recreate life. Don't get me wrong each to there own, but I see it as a great achievement to be able to guide, teach and love a child. I feel I have alot to give and therefore embrace the fact that one day I hope to start a family. (Please don t remind me about this post in 5yrs time!!)
  18. Read the 4th paragraph from the end of the Stoptech procedure. Yeah read it all. Still confused about it. Blue on disc but with grey coating! Think I may just leave it as have no real idea if it's done or not. Sure they will just bed in over time.
  19. P.s. its never too short to go abroad. Some of my best trips have been short last minute ones.
