  1. Very Nice Aaron, I love the F-type. Particularly the sound it makes. Only one word to describe the sound from the exhaust on these - DIRTY. Enjoy and well done.
  2. Yes of course Modo, its only called a Chelt&Glos meet but it is open to anyone who would like to come. So you and any other Zedders are more than welcome. 1. Monkeybrain1234 2. Nso93 3. Z370Z 4. Modo
  3. Think its time for another mini meet. How is Wednesday 13 July from 19:00 onwards for everyone? Same place at Staverton Airport.
  4. Drone I the rain! I haven't heard of that before. Wonder how that would happen. Have not used any sound deadening it's s before so no help from me. Sorry.
  5. Now that's a mirror. Good effort. By hand or machine??
  6. That doesn't sound too promising. Suppose mistakes do happen even with good mechanics. Hope it's all sorted easily
  7. Cause you are super young my friend!
  8. Thanks Amy. Great event. Learnt alot, for one - that polish is not wax!!! Thanks to meg guys too, really good chaps.
  9. Its like alot of in car tech. Eg You can have a speed detector which warns you of cameras etc but it doesn't mean you can just floor it everywhere you go. Sooner or later you will get caught. The technology is there to aid us but not necessarily replace human logic. Only way things are fully autonomous is having systems like trains and buses. You are merely along for the ride with no control. Until they make magnetic highways or roads with tracks I cannot see this happening. (which in my book is a good thing as I love driving.)
  10. A computer cannot foresee what we see. Such as cars coming down a slip road, a switched on driver will anticipate the lorry in the slow lane moving into the middle lane, so we would plan for that small but potential move by them, either by moving into the fast lane or giving some space. Therefore making the motorway a safer place. A computer and sensors would not see this.
  11. Thanks for looking. It's the kind of item I have been looking at although I think the foam will not cushion it enough or would wear quickly. Have been looking at fire retardant rubber insulation too, besides it's a bit of a water trap down there so need it to dry out, foam would hold more water. To be honest the more I think about it the more likely will get body shop to cut a small piece out of the bottom of splitter so there is the clearance needed.
  12. Not quick sure what you mean by this. Can't see any adjustment on the tips. Honestly I'd be careful stuffing rags around your exhaust, ...wouldn't want to set fire to your Zed after all. Hope you get it sorted properly soon. The muffler doesn't seem to get that hot but yes will be sorting it properly. Just experimenting to isolate the problem. Any ideas what I could use??
  13. So have been experimenting with a few ideas. . . And good news I have fixed it, although it's a temporary fix. Got under the car and where the muffler was touching the rear splitter/apron I stuffed some rags between the splitter and the muffler. I was sure it was some resonance because of this. Since putting the rags under them properly (1 week) my ears have had no trouble at all. Even took the bungs out for last couple of days and no issues. Need to find a more permanent solution such as some fire proof rubber insulation or maybe cut a bit of the splitter at the bottom so it doesn't touch. Best news is the sound is brilliant, like epic. I love it.

Cheers Ian. Besides you owe me a favour as it was you who kept telling me to clay my Z. Which ended up me scratching it. Lol
  15. Only just seen this. Is there a space to join in? Last time I used clay I scratched the car, really need some help! 26. Reserve list - monkeybrain1234
  16. The closer wound part is at the top. I.e. Your picture is upside down.
  17. Picture of your engine bay may help . . . ..
  18. Great video and really nice cars. Looks like a good meet.
  19. Yep same popping even with bungs in. It really does not seem to be a loudness issue. More than comfortable with the loudness. Going to experiment packing some insulation etc tomorrow. Sure I can sort this. Lol. No joke I am wearing ear plugs all the time I drive it so I don't get the popping. Besides it's a daily and if I have to wear plugs trust me the exhaust is coming off.
  20. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Chirag. Great news for a great couple. All the best with married life. Will have a pint to celebrate next time see you.
  21. Seen as you are not going ahead with the design you saw on the weekend so we will never see the grand unveiling of it, would only be fair it you shared the pictures of what it looked like . . .
  22. You swapped the Z! Just being honest - I prefer your Z. But so long as you're happy then enjoy it
  23. Not good news! The sound is still troubling my ears. Even just at idling let alone at full load. Ears just seem to pop all the time. And continues for hours after even a short drive. Took to bodyshop and could not find any issues . Anyone got any ideas, would really like to keep the buddy club on as it sounds great. Still convinced there is some funny frequency which is causing this. Thinking of hanging some weights on part of the exhaust and see the result. Any suggestions would be great? If anyone locally knows what they would be looking for in a correctly fitted exhaust would really appreciate you taking a look at it. . .
