It seems to be a personal choice with the S2000 v DC5. Those who I know who have had both prefer one over the other. Both are superb cars so its really down to what you like. I went in one on track earlier in the year and I was actually very surprised at how quick and agile it was. We spun also but it was raining I love my DC5 but I would also love an S2000 and seriously considered buying one the other month when a good one came up for sale recently. The problem I had was I had nowhere to keep it. I also wouldn't call it a lazy cruiser, more of a mentalist perhaps. The phase 1 S2000 can be quite tail happy and don't give you much warning and so the reason for the spins and crashes. I think you can address that with some mods but Honda improved the rear on the phase 2.

I'm beginning to feel this about my DC5. It's very hard to have the best of both worlds unless you do very few miles as a daily or don't modify it that much. I'm going more extreme with my DC5 and will be using my Scooby as my daily. Your wife's Scooby! She stole it from me so I'm stealing it back.

I have a DC5 in CW that I use for road and track. Its an amazing car that really comes alive on track. Very raw (not as raw as a DC2) compared to todays cars and nothing like a 350z. A 350z is very refined and laid back where as the DC5 is pretty stripped and does not have any gadgets apart from Air Con. Handling is amazing with lots of feedback and if you keep it in the rev band will be very fast. Insurance for me was no different to my EP3 that I had before with all mods declared. With regards to the reply about TGM, I can't echo this anymore. Tom is a legend and works on all my cars (Scooby, DC5 and MX5) and knows everything about Honda's and DC5's. He races them for a start in 24hr endurance races so knows what he is doing. If you want any more info about DC5's then just ask, happy to help.

:( Jules Bianchi: F1 driver dies from crash injuries
Linus27 replied to Adrian@TORQEN's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Very sad news. I used to root for him, very talented driver. Had a Sauber contract in his pocket for this year and would probably replaced Kimi next year at Ferrari. R.I.P Jules. -
As a person who does not own either but has flirted with the idea of getting one and still may in the future, personally I like the look of the standard 370z but prefers the look of a modded 350z. To my eyes, the standard 370z looks much sharper, striking and cleaner than a standard 350z. However, as soon as you put a nice set of black wheels on a 350z, lower it a bit, it looks stunning and is what I would probably go for.

Yeah, that's us . Well, Brands is good fun and right on my doorstep so is the obvious local fun spot really. The GP circuit is a bit of a unicorn really only being open a few times a year, then if it is open, you can't always guarantee that it will be with someone you fit in with. GP circuit in August with the HOT/LOT - In. Brands is local to me also but my favourite is Croft which unfortunately is the other end of the country. Really clicked with that track in my EP3 and want to try it in the DC5 now. Really don't like Castle Combe but only because it has such little run off's GP circuit really is tempting and as you say with LOT/HOT you know it's going to be good

Yeah, MSV just don't care what turns up really. I have to agree with that. We did a road only track day last August, at Brands again, the cars either side of us in the garages were trailered. Again, MSV. Yeah, I've been out with HOT a few times from back in my Honda days, in fact, I'm booked on with them for the Brands GP track day in August. Maybe see you there mate. Yeah, does not surprise me about MSV. Ah, I wondered if that was you. I think Harv posted in the thread and mentioned you both and I thought, has to be Yes, seriously thinking about doing Brands GP if funds allow. It's expensive at £325 and I would like to do Silverstone GP again but would like to tick Brands GP off the list. Will be good to meet you.

Hey Suits, I was going to ask if this was with MSV. I've been hearing quite a few bad comments about etiquette on their track days. I just got a mk1 MX5 and wanted to try it on track so booked a road car only track day. I kind of expected normal road cars but it had stripped out rally Ford Focus, Porche GT3's, stripped out track ready Clio's, Ferrari 430's etc. Ok so some are those are ok but really should be used on the general track day events. I'm sure some were even trailered which is a big no no on a road car only track day. I was constantly having to let cars by and my 115bhp had no chance. However, what really annoyed me was the etiquette. Over taking around the outside of bends, not moving over, people racing you. I had great fun but frustrating the selection of cars and the poor etiquette. I could had turned up in a stripped out Exige race car and been allowed on track. The MX5 was brilliant and I might do a couple more this year but going to probably stick with my DC5 and Honda's on Track/Lotus on Track for most events as they are brilliantly run with superb etiqutte. Seems like MSV promote different events but don't really care what turns up on the day.

Yes, the 370 is quicker but the difference does seem to be minimal and maybe a skilled driver in a 350 can reduced that further (not referring to myself as a skilled driver before you all jump on that lol)....just thinking maybe the 370 isn't the stepping stone to my GT-R. No its definitely not worth 2x the time price of a 50 if your just looking at performance. Totally agree. You taking the final track time slot at Japfest then?! haha...have you still got one left then? Hubby is doing an Ariel Atom track day this month, so maybe it could be my turn to take the zed to JPfest It's the whole having to take 2 cars (for the kids) putting me off But then it is my birthday next week....maybe be you can all club together & get me it for my b'day lol Definitely worth treating your self if its your birthday next week! Yep one space left over the three forums so it won't be around for long I don't think. Oh my god Ad, have you seen Kat drive? Just don't be on track at the same time as she is Seriously, I think she should do it, so she can get the bug and then come with me on track days

ooohh....are you planning a road trip to France? In the Mazda? You kept that quiet, you little stinker. Not going the same time as me, are you? Yes, road trip to France in the Mazda. Surely you remember, we talked about this ages ago. You said we should do a French road trip together so I agreed. It's all planned, car ready, hotels booked, that special toy you like, bikini packed (yours not mine, I have speedos) and your favourite blanket to keep your little legs warm in the evening drives. I've even got your favourite Shakin Stevens songs on your IPod that you asked me to sort out. So, we are all set to go. I'll be round at 7am on June 14th as agreed Oh and if I'm a little stinker then your a bigger stinker so nah nah nah

Bet he is as well..!! When I raced FF1600 many years ago, I had an off at Silverstone in the wet, then they had catch fencing, which I went through 2 layers of of it and got hit on the head by one of the poles, which cracked my helmet and apparently (as I don't remember) knocked me out for a few minutes. Went to the medical centre, Doc waved his finger in front of my eyes and said "follow my finger", which hopefully I did. he said fine you can race tomorrow..!! This whole situation with Alonso is so over the top, unless there is something we don't know. I'll try and find out..! I think it's all a bit fishy also and the conflicting press statements from McLaren, Fred's manager, Flávio etc. just add to more confusion. I think, he either did run wide, lost the back end and speared to the inside and had a side impact with his helmet or something else which they are hiding, for example, he passed out, car failure etc.

I got married at Leeds Castle. Decided to do it in the Gunnery as it was much nicer than the Castle and has suits or armour, swords, shields etc. Seemed more medieval and fitting

Hi and welcome.

Gutted Alonso won't be driving. Even bought a new Honda T-shirt to wear in support. Looks like I will be cheering Button on for the first race. I wonder if the car will make 10 laps í ½í¸€

Looks lovely. welcome.

Good luck and keep us updated. Only been to Finland for the rally and loved it. Keep meaning to go to Sweden and to the Fjords in Norway.

Yep, that was me, all the way from Hartley Whitney, up the duel carriage, past Blackbush, past the Ely, down the dual carriageway which is where she went left and I went right. I got past on the final dual carriageway, but she then out braked me for the roundabout. I was quite impressed as not expecting it so give her the thumbs up from me It certainly was fun. Has it had any mods done to it? I noticed it had black wheels.
