As sad as it sounds this is something I love about the 370, it turns heads. An M3 is just a high-spec 3 series and to the masses thats how it appears but the 370z is a whole model in its own right, with those huge rear arch flares, long bonnet etc, its a proper sports car.
I also don't like the clinical, cold, computer controlled idea that I get from an M3 (never driven one tho) and I think the 370 is a nice halfway house. The interior is really high quality, and the traction control works well, but turn it off and its completely unrestrained, you can feel the solid gear changes through the "agricultural" gearbox, and it really feels like a muscle car!
