  1. Cleaning the car the other day i noticed a load of black gunk splattered over one side of the exhaust.. So my stock silicone filled rear bush on the diff has split. Two questions.. What do people recommend from experience, a few people offer these kits, whiteline etc.. And probably more importantly as I have no tools.. Japex will probably be replacing for me, can this be done without removing subframe etc.. Thanks.
  2. What did you use to get the height and did you find it moved around a little on the sticky pad..? I have mine mounted on a curved base on top of the rear strut and to give it height it is on the 'Jam' extension pieces, still get a bit of movement on bumpy ground though..
  3. Yeh, thought about that, but all you can see is where the water comes to the inside at the bottom of the door as first pic.. I can see the line of water where it has traveled down the plastic door trim so Im guessing it is above that which would be by the tweater trim. So water is getting in here, but it cannot get in from window point, i.e travel upwards without a pressure washer, so must be getting in behind the rubber.. so this only leaves me with looking under the body colour coded trim above the door I guess.. I also just noticed on one of my pics that there seems to be a dribble coming out from behind the flat bit at the bottom of the pillar area.. this kinda tallys up with where we can see water lines down the door trim.. So it is getting behind the rubber then potentially leaking through at the point we can see a dribble.. perhaps!
  4. This is not from opening the door.. The first pic is what I saw with the door shut.. Never had any leaks or water ingress to the car before.. No misting, no 'zeds are a bit like that'! Car parked on the flat too Graham.. It was after the recent very heavy rain so I guess I'll keep an eye.. What I can't work out is that to leak from the point it is.. It would have to be getting in from the pillar trim as water can't travel upwards and in from the window seal.. this is one of those.. No-one had the same so gonna be hard to diagnose the issue.. What's under the trim above the door glass.. Where it meets the roof? This is the only place that would make sense to water getting in..
  5. Nope, I noticed the water at the bottom with the door shut when i got in to drive home..
  6. So i noticed this the other day after v.heavy rainfall.. Has not occured before, car does not steam up, perfectly dry.. until I saw this dribble.. Door rubbers are in good condition, soft and supple, gave them some shinitsu grease too.. Door rubber on passengers side has same 'indentation' from the triangular tweeter bit as does the drivers side.. Window goes up properly and seats where it should.. ?? any ideas..
  7. Thanks gents.. Spa or Palmers seem like my cup of tea..
  8. Hi all, after your recommends on a really good track day experience.. Work have given me free reign, no budget, to choose something as a birthday gift.. This won't be in the zed, a day that is all taken care of.. any suggestions folks..?
  9. Cheers bud. I hate snap clips.. without knowing exactly where they are positioned its so easy to break something!
  10. Couple of queries on this gents if I may: 1 - How is this removed for cleaning, is it easy or do you have to remove a load of trim.. i have a couple of those annoying brown tree seeds somehow got in there..! 2 - Does this need to be removed for tinting.. booked in tomorrow and wondered if i need to make sure it's removed for them..? Thank you.
  11. You let me through by the pub/station.. Good man
  12. Yeh of course it is.. you already have a spacer fitted so you might expect to get a few more ponies but we're talking single figures. You'd probably achieve as much by getting rid of the pop charger and going back to the standard air box with a high performance air filter..!
  13. Check my build thread.. I have one fitted and saw some good gains, at least as good as expected for NA.
  14. Hmmm, breakfast blat at least me thinks..
  15. Possibly me out on a test blat if i remember..
  16. It's a tough one to answer, every car has it's charms.. Karmann Ghia - looks Porsche - the smell ZM - scary moments S2000 - handling Suzuki - speed Jeep - pothole eater Monaro - noise, just the noise Z - a nice mixture of all
  17. There is a bit of gump in the setup manual... http://www.meisterr.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/MeisterR-Manual.pdf
  18. The one thing that swayed me between the jeep and the defender.. heating that works.. small point but made my choice for me.. really though you need to go try a few and see what would suit you best..
  19. I had a jeep a long while back.. fairly cheap, reliable, not so great on fuel.. but you could drive over most things!
