Too many dollars and again not a fan of cut tips, although I'm sure its a good system..
-
Not come across the DC before.... Like the fact everything is welded, no clamps here unlike the Invidia and the system looks like good quality for the price. The cons would be the tips are straight cut, really really wanted rolled tips and also a little concerned that there are some reports from the states of it being mega raspy..? Might have to do more research.. Wonder if anyone has one that's heading to the Ace Cafe on the 20th..? Can't beat seeing/hearing in the flesh..
-
Definitely don't want a single pipe, just not keen on the looks. I'm not shy of a good exhaust note, but want a quality noise thats not too raspy, the Invidia Gemini seemed to tick those boxes.. I'll be at the ace cafe meet so should be able to get some feedback on sound whilst up there.. I just figured by the time I've got a Cobra or Japspeed K2 with a y-pipe.. I'm only a couple of hundred off the Invidia system which is true dual, so is it worth the push to go true dual..
-
So from doing a little research on what I want out of an exhaust I have seen some potentials. The question i guess is should i do it properly and go true dual. Requirements are close to OEM look as poss, i.e. rolled tips. Good quality sound, not too raspy. Cheapside - Cobra + y-pipes A little extra - Invidia Gemini + decat pipes Whats your views, worth going the extra mile..?

Right job done, ordered new Mishimoto from Clark motorsports. As you say not worth the time to refurb plus these are lighter, we like lighter Thanks gents.

So my garage just called me. They are a jap specialist, AutoBMC in Chandlers Cross. I feel fairly confident they know what they're doing.. So they had my car in for drop links, wheels spacers, tein springs, tyres, wheel refurb for stage 1 of my zedlist.. They have just called to say they had the car running in the bay and noticed the temp rising to the point the fans should cut in, but they didn't. So they switched off and rang me to ask if i'd noticed anything. Well since getting the car i've not really been stuck in any traffic so haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. They have said in the past they have seen about 5 zeds with the same issue which ended up being the bushes on the fans. Their resolve was to swap round the bushes and all is well again.. this is a bit labour intensive but still better than buying new fans. Has anyone had any similar experience, are there other areas which they will check first etc..? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Wasso, was a bit lost.. So basically even though they re-designed the plenum on the uprev, the best gains can still be achieved from an MVREV2 plenum (with a spacer) which is basically along the lines of a DE plenum with the ports modified.. So more dollars to do this mod on an uprev engine in comparison.. booo DE plenum GT4/UPrev plenum Motordyne MREV2 plenum for GT4/UPrev

Anyone know who can supply carbing in the UK or forum contact...? Cheers.

Is the clear light cluster still available..? -
Below are the two different plenums. There is more air space on the GT4 plenum.. which is in effect what the plenum spacer does I assume..? So would it hurt to have even more air space..?? Wasso, over to you..! Standard plenum GT4 plenum
-
Can anyone give some input on this.. My GT4 has a revised plenum on it as standard, so would I still benefit from a plenum spacer...?

Hi gents, Cheeky long shot.. Does anyone live near Watford that has a Cobra exhaust fitted, that would like to meet up for a cheeky half and let me have a listen/see of said exhaust..? Listening to loads of youtube clips has still left me undecided on looks & sound..!

Don't you worry.. She's booked in for 4 new tyres, front brakes, wheel refurb, plenum spacer, intake, springs, spacers, exhaust, y-pipe, decant, drop links, machine mop and when I have time new head unit and gear stick once I've found one I like.. I'm just very particular on the aesthetics that is all..

Interesting responses gents... So, no doubt, the Honda RDX stubby seems to get good feedback on reception.. However, 7inches in my eyes is too big for a stubby.. so far I'm up for the punt on a Perrin 4"..
-
Yeh but i'm not overly keen on the looks, bit plain, prefer the looks of the Perrin shorty's IF they work..
-
Yeh and before everyone says it, they're post-it notes.. it will be black! So the Perrin shorty's struggle with reception?? Anyone got one of those..?
-
What do you think 2'' or 4'' stubby...?
-
how come you can only post so many pics....? boo

So the first and cheapest item on the list.. A good ol clean up.. Bit of snow foam to see what she'd look like in white. Then a good few buckets later and some elbow grease.. Hoovered out, wiped down, leather treated.. Glass done, silly stickers removed.. Bit of tic to paintwork and that ends her first bit of lovin..
