Cheers Andy, not bad for a daily driver. When they get too bad they knock like a pig too. Nice one Dean, did as you said and use an washer to make up the difference. Used an opened up Transit subframe washer in the end. Straightforward job once you load up the ball joint and get an impact wrench on there. The front ones were ok, poor access doing them on axle stands however I've heard the rear ones are worst to do. The coilovers that replaced the 16yr old OE dampers, felt great even working in conjunction with tired lower arms, now they feel amazing!!! After all the bits and a geo, the car feels mega.

Forget the Kia, bring a couple tins next week to the meet to me 😄

Cheers fella, can't complain this end - hope you well also. Yeah better weather appears to be finally with us at long last. Had a clicking / tapping and then later knocking noise on the 350z which occured with wheel rotation and didn't seem to be coming from just one wheel. Sounded like when you get a stone in the tyre tread but would go away when turning right. Absolutely struggled to diagnose the fault alone. Roped in @350Butcher for a second pair of hands and found the front lower arms inner bushes on both sides had gone. Didn't look there, as didn't seem to fit the symptoms as I had been looking at the rear axle. New parts ready to go on EPMAN billet lower control arms JDM Garage track rod ends Whiteline adjustable ARB drop links Daystar polyethylene dust boots O/S out, the word is toast N/S was worst Old split pins, no match for daddy mole Fitted these over a few occasions when time allowed, unloaded the suspension, set the ARB drop links length before fully tightened up all bolts. Anxiously went out for a drive and... the clicking noise was still there argh!!!!!! hhhmmm looked around on YouTube and came across a fella in Malaysia who by the sounds of it, had the same issue. In the end his fault was said to be with his wheel spacer studs. He had those replaced, cleaned up the wheels, hubs and all mating surfaces and that sorted the problem. So set about doing the same, less the stud replacements. Thorough cleaned up of all the old crud, plus the wheels and spacers haven't been on the car for 2 years so probably added to the corrosion of the grime. Of course cleaned the wheels after removal back in 2020, however neglected to clean the all important boss. Threads de grim'd also Reassembled, went out for a spin and clicking gone, completely quiet. Couple of drives to make sure all was well, prior getting a wheel alignment. Can't resist an under shot or two

Do love these wheels and work well with lowered ride height. With lowering you'll naturally gain more negative camber too, however arch work definitely needed for your spec. @Dani350z car above

It's well and truly pouring it down here in the Midlands, needed however to wash away the last bit of salt on the roads 👍 -

Really good demonstration of the benefits. I've done this for years and years, more so than snow foam prior to the contact wash. Anyone else get good results from a pre wash? From BH auto foam, il be going to BH touch less next.

MidlandZ Breakfast Meet - Sunday 20th March

I had asked for breakfast details on the day, however they were in the process of redoing the menu and goes she'll email me it over - I've chased her for it just now. The lunch and dinner menu pricing looks very reasonable, so would imagine breakfast will follow - if not we'll put it on Justin's tab 😄 -

You boys might as well pop up for a breakfast, but I reckon we'll be leaving the hotel around 10am if that helps plan a link up. We'll plan to stop off at the Nightingale pub Spetchley for 11am, as it's the half way point and can give folks the chance to swap order. -

That's really bad luck, must have been such a smack and as you say a rear door corner no doubt. Hate car park parking for this very reason, regular dings are bad enough. Could have been matey, regroup and you'll get it sorted soon enough.

Looks a lovely example, all the best with the sale

That deal went QUICK!!! I'll try and get on the next boat.

Looks mega pal, very nice indeed. Bet you glad you kept it in the end, worth alot more now too.

Great to see the progression being made. Thought this staggered test suited our application, rather than a hot hatch test. For a manufacturer, seems a no brainer to fit the best UHP tyre available at the time. The Nankang in the wet was a decent showing too.

Literally always something else ay. Yeah ordered them back when we were chatting after my MOT and the OE inner bushes are now shot, so these are going in. Yeah they do look a treat to keep clean at least. I went for the silver ones.

Very nice work fella, loving the updates. How you getting on with your billet front lower arms now?
