  1. Prove it, RCZ, S2000, RX8 6sp and 3.2 TT - as it was mentioned......
  2. Maybe if night and day last for all of blink of an eye.
  3. You've done it again, even after editing your own post. The 986 and a 987 are different cars. The 986 had its own facelift around 2002. The 987 Cayman is a first gen Cayman not facelifted 986 Boxster with a roof. What's even worst/sad, is you said it was a error ok a typo in essence, but then you went and dug a new hole and stepped right in.
  4. You're right, it's not dishonesty it's a clear lack of basic understanding. How can one begin to compare a 350z to a 987 Cayman if you don't actually know what a 987 Cayman is. That was an absolute clanger to say it's a 986 with a tin top. It's like saying a VW Golf Mk7 is an Eos with a hatch. For this particular discussion all his credibility went out the window with that one statement, as it's clear he doesn't know what he's actually going on about.
  5. I paused there after reading his comment and didn't want to risk another dishonest discussion
  6. Yes another fantastic little car and said to be the best in class for its price point ☺️
  7. Sorry to hear that, if the mirror cap is ok the below should be ok https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255103817031?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=L5hx_R0tR92&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=UVSJOLRJSwe&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  8. Just this moment gone to check 987 anything less than 100,000 on the clock all well above a good 350z for similar condition/mileage. Again the 986 was the rival to a 350z, not a 987 👍 "German cars always been the fastest" - false "Best on track" - false "987 had for the costs of a good 350z" - you guessed it I bet you can't lie straight in bed 🤣
  9. Exactly, you watch at Santa Pod and I'd a tasty looking GTi-R was on the line, you'd a brave man to bet against it. Fensport was so desperate to get his hands on the new shape Corolla he imported a 5 door as couldn't wait for the UK 3dr to be released - absolute monster of a thing that was too. You're a bit late, as I had wrote about price point form the get go. With regards to your comment re the RS3 and Golf R, yes in a straight line however the lesser powered French and Jap stuff monster them both round a track with ease. 981 S again talking a 50k+ car new, brilliant car however possibly a tad disingenuous to begin to compare against a 2009 27k when new car directly 🤷🏽‍♂️
  10. Happy Birthday 350z 🎂 🎉
  11. Yes those were the days and the heavyweights for years and years were the JAP stuff in all aspects. Hugely modified or not the German stuff was nowhere to be seen. Since the DCT/DSG era yeah for sure German 2 pedal clone boxes are the quickest thing on the road. But holy hell are they boring as dish wash, evidently speed isn't the measure of bestness otherwise EV would be king but they aren't and never will be as they have no passion much like most of the German clone boxes imo. Again the 987 S is a fantastic car for its 44k new prices value when it came out, the Z34 for 27k again is a fantastic car for its price point - pretty sure we're all in agreement with that.
  12. Not so, anyone who remembers TOTB over the many many years would disagree with you and so would the results. It was JPN for the longest time. The R33 GTR was a milestone car at the nurburgring being the fastest production car ever in its day, now the fastest every day hot hatch is the Civic type r and has been for a number of years - reasonable money cars. Ten of the Best (TOTB), is a performance road car event aimed at finding the best all round car and drivers in Europe. Handling, top speed and a 1/4m drag strip are used to determine the best of the best, Ten Of The Best! German whitewash...... not even close. https://www.350z-uk.com/topic/124692-90s-jdm-appreciation-thread/?do=findComment&comment=1818514
  13. I'm sure Brandshatch track days back in the 80's 90's when Britain actually built cars here were mainly Rovers, MG's, Ford's, Lotus, Vauxhall and TVR's - bit different to a worldwide successful movie about car tuning culture. That's the thing the 370z when new was circa 27k while the 987 Cayman S was closer to 44k (65% increase), when comparing the new car prices consideration has to be made. I personally think both the Z models for their price points, do an amazing job with what they offer.
  14. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the UK release for the Nissan 350z. Still in my opinion an utterly stunning car on the road, looks and sounds like nothing else. Let's start a thread with owners past and present single favourite 350z picture of their car. https://uk.nissannews.com/en-GB/releases/release-12154-z-start
  15. I would disagree with that unless you've not explained it clearly. The 350z was a rival to the 986 Boxster S, S2000, RX8 231, TT 3.2. The 350z was late to the party however offered greater fire power for less money. The 370z was then a rival to the 987 S's, MK2 TT 2.0T, BMW Z4 3.0, GT86 and Peugeot RCZ. Obviously looks, price, cost to run, reliability, noise, availablity all play their parts. The Japan stuff is just a different ethos. You'd go to a BMW or Porsche meet and the cars are all the same, at a glance clones of each other whereas with a JDM sports car (loose term) the scene will be no two are a like. Different wheels, tyres, exhaust, suspension, spoilers, splitters, diffusers, seats, stereo not to mention engine tuning levels. Each is special and individual. Not saying one is 'better' than the other, however pointing out they're different flavours. The JDM car scene is like no other imo. Put it this way you'd have never of had a Stuttgart Drift movie worth seeing.
  16. Best she's ever looked!! That single exit must sound so fruity ☺️
  17. If you take a near floor picture of the rear end, we should be able to tell you which system you have. With OE cats while they might pass an MOT, they're probably not flowing as well as when new so might nab a few hp. The below is worth a look also 👍 No bolt on n/a mods for the DE show much by way of gains, of course they all add up however this mod went a long way to improving engine pick up throughout the rev range. https://www.350z-uk.com/topic/111683-db-nissan-350z-gt-05/?do=findComment&comment=1833308
  18. Absolutely amazing the finish you got doing all that work yourself, looks epic - very well done. More pictures out in the day light also when can.
  19. Morning matey, not sure. It's been filled all week and left out so mighty cold I know that. For the first 30-40sec you body is screaming get out it's not worth it, then you settle in control the mindset and you're good. Not everything can be explained using data, resilience for example. If the Wim Hof method is good enough for the Novax Djokovic, its good enough for me 😃
  20. Couple of mine from today's club meet. I sure hope everyone else's cars gives them tunnel vizion.
  21. My photo dump from today Midz Meet, the first of the year. All cars looked amazing, filthy but amazing 😀 Felt great to get back out with the Z gang!!! Thank you everyone for coming as I know a few of you travelled a good distance. Chat, Cars, Food = Bliss Be sure not to miss the 'BIG' one come the Summer ✅
  22. Just reminded me https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134454748985?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=Z6Tjk7sPR1C&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=UVSJOLRJSwe&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
