  1. Recently similar happen to @Phil T with his HR, ended up taking it elsewhere nothing done to the car and it passed - put it down to calibration of the first places testing equipment perhaps. Your test results show as the engine/exhaust we're getting hotter the figures were getting better/cleaner. You'd benefit from a 15mins Italian tune up and test it as soon as you got back to the test station.
  2. Listen to her GO, that front end!!! What a track, she looks right at home and very well done. That's what I found blissful about the 350z on track, less shifts, tones of low end torque - more WOT ✅
  3. Nice work, she'll be burning air and fuel again as intended 🥳
  4. Annual service time, P2 due however as I have a reusable multilayer foam panel filter, a quick shake n vac was all that's needed. Wipers rotated and tyre pressures checked. Having replaced the valve covers recently, I was shocked to see the amount of oil which remains in the heads regardless of whether the sump plug was in or out. Effectively there's always a handover of 12 month old oil that'll contaminate the new and continue for another stint. I had the idea to carry out a flushing oil change and as I was going from Castrol Edge back to Millers Trident, I wanted a minimal handover. New oil put in and ran for 20mins before draining. Oil filter removed and drained also. Nismo vs HKS Hybrid Flushing oil on the left, 12 month old oil on the right. To think that flushing oil I'd have asked to look after my engine for the next 12 months 😳 Fresh oil poured in for the second time, ran for a couple minutes and I've never seen the dip stick so clean. If you've never done it, for the price of a tub of oil do it - she's worth it
  5. Deep stuff pal, sorry to hear that.
  6. I'm not up on the different ways to buy a car so forgive me. £2000 Cayman S, can't be bad ay
  7. Sorry to hear that, does seem a rather large and unexpected bill. Always a gamble I guess with not taking out an extended warranty with a premium brand sports car. Might be able to source a good condition used pair.
  8. Will this not be covered by the warranty?
  9. From his last thread. All the best with sale, lovely set of wheels
  10. How dare your uncle pass comment on the vehicles performance having never driven one!!!!!!
  11. How is this still for sale, absolutely crazy. One special buy indeed
  12. My car has always had a y pipe with a flexi, and the driver side second cat (the unit has two cats) is loose and rattled at certain revs or when I turned the engine off. I can hold the unit and tilt it one way or the other and you can hear/feel the core slide inside. I had planned to drill a small pilot hole and screw a small stainless self tapper from the underside to hold the core steady which would sort my problem.
  13. 100% agreed, was a wild move similar to a V6 in the back of a Clio as a road car - great moments of bravery in motor industry.
  14. I've heard Merc V8's in the flesh and the tone is the same, likewise with Audi B6/7 V8 all sound like yank trucks imo.
  15. Nice going but it sounds like my mates 78' F100 pickup 🤣
  16. Only available in 21' currently however if these become the OE fit tyres for the M2 (highly likely) a BMW dealer will have them of the shelf to replenish unrepairable punctures ahead of the time expected for wear. Bonus, it's just my size. https://www.michelin.co.uk/auto/tyres/michelin-pilot-sport-s-5#sizes
  17. I don't think Michelin feel cars on 17's these days go fast enough to warrant anything above the PS4 😄
  18. Very exciting news regarding the latest offering from Michelin the eagerly awaited Pilot Sport S 5
  19. Only x1 tab on each plug needs addressing
  20. I've had this, the plug tab will need a trim - see the below https://www.350z-uk.com/topic/111683-db-nissan-350z-gt-05/?do=findComment&comment=1674031
