  1. Something fashioned like this could be great........ http://m.ebay.co.uk/...6.c100408.m2460
  2. I feel your pain, different for me as alternator failed https://www.flickr.c...6285@N07/5718oS
  3. cracking the engine over is all battery effort and then the alternator looks after the electricals from then on while also putting charge back into the battery. 5 mins wont be long enough to put sufficient charge back into the battery for a full charge. plus 5 mins of winter driving means extra fuel to try and bring the car up to temperature quickly. i would say the starting issue will have been slight flooding and lack of charge in the battery also. the warning lights matter, again from lack of charge in the battery. few weeks ago while driving with a failing alternator the air bag light came on, purley down to the battery having a hard time. ecu reset or clear the codes with a reader, long drive and you should be all good. david
  4. LOL fair play maybe an intake/box setup like the Spoon/Mugen ones? however moving our MAF further away from filter, for a more accurate reading........
  5. Received 3 months ultimate cover from The Auto Group when buying my 350z. Saved me over £400 for replacement alternator, battery, wiring repair to fans and ecu reset. Could have quite easily said at the time of buying the car, forget the warranty and knock off a couple hundred quid :S having said that i wont be renewing my policy.
  6. Wants buying this but also needs dulling down
  7. just watched it, bit dark but sounds v good
  8. Completely agree, breather mods can provide small gains evident in those bolt on DE's that producing more than factory bhp/lb-ft on a rolling road prior to a remap. to the OP, subscribed David
  9. Yes but what lasting gains are to be had if the ecu dials them out days later? *never seen proof of this but so the story goes.........
  10. http://engineering.m...ng-and-results/ As you can see, very nice results! We made power throughout the entire powerband, from 3,000 rpm all the way to 6,400 rpm. Our maximum gains were achieved in the midrange, equating to 10 whp and 13 wtq. At the peak of the rpm band, our gains were 6 whp and 9 wtq. When adding an intake, one of the primary concerns is the impact on the stock ECU tune in terms of air/fuel ratios. A review of the results showed that the ratios of our intake are extremely similar to the stock intake ratios. This setup is entirely safe and will not have a negative impact on engine integrity during any driving conditions.
  11. I have the same system, sounds GREAT!! OE+ sports sound
  12. Along with my Zed, I have a 1.4 j reg Nissan sunny. Cheap to run and tax, brand new tyres are £32 a corner, classic car insurance job done. Everyone let's you out at junctions thinking "I let grandad go" and a week of driving this makes the 350z feel like a Bugatti Veyron haha
  13. ^ take it all at the same rolling road?
  14. http://www.350z-uk.c...age__hl__intake It's understood that any aftermarket intake setup won't show any lasting gains lol
  15. If you purchase a new key from Nissan and when they code it to the car along with the key you have now, this will knock out the spare that you don't have so it can't start the car
  16. Very smart looking zed pal and with the power to match. I can see it was a couple of months between the engine mods and the remap, what was the bhp on the base run prior to the uprev?
  17. trick is to drive a few examples, get to know the car as much as you can before parting with your cash. if i were you id spend 7k and get the best example you can, with the remainder set aside for tax, tyres, repairs, brakes, battery etc etc hopefully the car you choose will have had a clutch and exhaust replacement already. david
  18. If the vehicle warranty is through a 3rd party then it doesn't matter i guess as your dealing with the warranty company not j17 should any warrantable faults occur
