  1. Obviously I can't personally comment on the difference, all I can do is reiterated what Steve noticed after his 350z was mapped. The difference between the base run and the post mapped figures is clear to see. 25hp difference between two car with say 600bhp and 625bhp, yeah most people would struggle to tell a difference. Yes Steve is noticing the lack of throttle restriction in the lower gears, however on a dual carriageway in 4th gear (dyno pull gear) yes you are going to notice an extra 20lb-ft at low rpm. It's the lb-ft increase you are going to notice, so try not to get hung up on the bhp numbers too much.
  2. 16bhp was the gain from mapping (25hp overall compared to UK book spec) not 6 as you can't compare one dyno outfit directly to another. His 301bhp dyno pull, very well could be 310bhp on a dynojet.... Plus the remap as we all know doesn't just mean more top end bhp, what you'll notice day to day is the increase in low end lb-ft around 2.5k which will transform the way a car feels on the road. I would advise on a healthy DE 5-10bhp increase from bolt on's then another 10-15bhp at best on top for the map, purely speaking at the top end. David

  5. Awful news mate, respect to the ol man
  6. The fact the the 350z is even being mentioned in the same post as a F360. Anyways, so the mk2 focus RS...... good cars, I like them to look at - never myself to own, way to look at me for my liking.
  7. Its probably not just about which car is quickest on a hot lap, its about cost to buy, cost to insure, to maintain, repair, reliability, day to day living, can you drive a f360 every day the way you can a zed probably not. Let me break it down again, every car magazine has a car of the year competition. Is the winner always the most powerful, fastest, most expensive, feature "one of the greatest V8 engine is all the universe...... No, it about the one that ticks most of the boxes aka the 350z (loves bolt on's to BTW) David

  20. Yes it is/was: - 286.5bhp from bolt on breather mods prior to remap, seems like good gains to me on a 11yr old motor........ IF the 301bhp figure is accepted as true, the 286bhp figure from 30mins ago must also be true. Bolt ons work just fine and Steve's pre uprev AFR graph proves this, no issues at wot @ high rpm.
  21. 260 lb-ft at 2300rpm (20 lb-ft gain) for n/a this thing must haul ass!! Stunning motor Steve
