  9. Issue we come across with supermarket fuels is that its bought in bulk during the cheaper periods and then sold thoughout the year. Not a mssive issue for most but winter fuel comes with more additive but can be more expensive to buy initially. Summer fuel sold during the winter can cause breakdowns.
  10. What method do you use to generate a vehicles bhp? I still feel bhp is a better measure than whp: I understand that you use a coast down test to determine flywheel power. Why, when wheel power is what makes you go? The problem with measuring wheel power only, is that many factors can affect the wheel power output - tyre design, temperature and pressure, wheel alignments, gear box oil, viscosity temperature and level, wheel speed, final drive ratios etc. As an example; take two very similar cars with similar modifications, both are tested on a 'wheel horse power only' dyno, Car A has 12hp more at the wheels than Car B. The owner of Car B and the dyno operator begin looking for problems with the turbo chargers, ECU calibrations, CAM timing etc. If the test had been carried out on the Dastek Dyno, the coast down test would have revealed the transmission loss would have appeared excessively high, thus taking the focus away from the engine fault and pointing us in the direction if the drive line problem. The fault was in fact a partially seized brake caliper, which was converting the power into heat.
  11. i think the correction factor has its part to play
  12. Lovely ride pal, I took a fair few pictures of it and shared in the photos meets section
  13. Initially the low previous owners figure does look good but I'd much rather four previous owners that maintained the vehicle well than one that spent all their money on buying the car then had to skimp on maintenance. Overall condition/servicing and price of the vehicle is most important, low previous owners is nearly a bonus as this doesn't guarantee condition. You often see Porsches with lots of previous owners as its for some a bucket list car, couple of years then sell it on. I'd imagine the 350z and 370z fall into that category for alot of folks, ie for a good example not overly cheap to buy, tax or insure etc. Circumstances change and a more sensible vehicle is needed.
