  1. http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2017-Sport-Auto-UHP-and-Track-Day-Tyre-Test.htm This is an interestying read - How much faster are track day tyres compared to the best road tyres? Shame the PS4S couldn't be used
  2. Fuel Cell Stack - The Oxygen and Hydrogen chemically react within the fuel cell stack to generate power in the form of electricity.
  3. Totally unfair to compare EV and hydrogen directly, the infrastruction for EV at present out weighs Hydro refills. Hydro cars produce power, EV's consume it. Where were EV's 15yrs ago.... It's hydro first potential mass produced passenger vehicle the concept is way more interesting than EV and can potentially appeal to more buyers once the government back it's and the infrastructure is in place. I'd be expecting for that cost Tesla to offer free charge points at home, install and KW/P at least Toyota give free refills for life granted not a great help today, however going forward who knows.
  4. 12v power probe and set it once........
  5. Pretty sure our children's kids will look back at the internal combustion engine, the same way most of us lot do the steam engine.
  6. Grand progress there, i read the maf ideally should be at the same angle as OE ie maf plug at the 1 o'clock position....... Gutting about the bump on the rear pal.
  7. Yep all old news sadly, issue is we can't store the power generated from these sources. Then can't react to peak times to keep all the lights on. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/earth/energy/windpower/11218297/Wind-farms-paid-43m-to-switch-off.html
  8. Clean it out, the butterfly goes in at the top so if you push on top from behind it wont move when cleaning. However to clean properly you will need to move the butterfly.
  9. ahhh that makes sense, as when i hear N1 i think.............. http://classicregist...4-gtr-v-spec-n1
  10. All the best chap with the investigations
  11. Not all households have a drive or assigned parking................ What if you have two EV's, use a splitter? Go out at 2am ever night to swap the cars around.............

    ACF 50

Used them before on coilovers, great product. But for the length of time taking all the arches out. id use a dedicated underseal product.
  13. As with anything, only time will tell. Hydrogen vehicles orbeit commercial vehicles have been around for many years like EV. Right now for the masses the big wave is hybrid, then it'll be EV's in one form or another. Tesla is the new Prius, it's fashionable as was the Prius 15yrs ago in Hollywood. Tesla don't just do cars so can draw from experience from many industries much like Toyota.
  14. Id guess on a UK car, it will have the loom.
  15. They'll never be a 'free' fuel, ie produced, obtained, stored or transported with zero costs to the environment. The general consensus is, as long as the overall costs to implement fuel cell vehicles is less than that of full EV then it's progression. Fuel cell vehicles are essentially EV, however they produce there own electricity. This power goes to the wheels and the batteries are charged via this and regenerative media. Batteries don't power the wheels under normal driving only to start the vehicle and at stand still.
  16. On the petrol front, they'll one say be no choice as there won't be any to use - water on the other hand......
  17. Drive is very much in the commuter vehicle category, id imagine when you’d press on you’d feel the weight of the 1850kg around you for sure. Just a strange feeling to know you in a vehicle thats not powered by fuel or plug in. He went on to say the fast charge points you see at service stations, EV consume enough juice to power 3 average households for a week. Brakes of course full eclectic flyby wire, main battery regen under what we know as over run and braking. Of course pre crash system, blind spot monitor, wireless smart phone charging.
  18. And the engine? No the fuel cell stack feeder, fashioned to look like an engine is all. Kinda like a terminator designed to look like a human so it blends in haha
  19. Never thought I'd see the day i get to drive a hydrogen car. Amazing bit of engineering and fascinating how it all works, even if the 700bar fuel tank made me feel a little uneasy. Chatting with Simon Calado (pretty big noise for the company, as he delivered every LFA sold in the country and some in Europe including the 7:14 Nurburgring pack edition) these expel upto 8 litres of fresh water for every 100km, but does have a dedicated button to drain on demand. Headline figures: 300 mile range from 5kg of hydrogen, zero emissions, refueling takes 3 minutes, cicra 155bhp and £61k before government grant. Drive is very much in the commuter vehicle category, id imagine when you’d press on you’d feel the weight of the 1850kg around you for sure. Im not sure what i was expecting in terms of drive feel. Maybe clunky, noisy gases, noises that resemble buses air brakes. Nope, drives just like any EV as the wheels are powered via an electronic motor. Of course INSTANT full power from essentially idle. Smooth again of course quiet and all the electrics seem to work mad quick. Example, power seats normally operate slow, not in this it's too quick and the electronic lumber support can me out too haha. Oh yeah with every purchase, Toyota gives you free refills FOR LIFE!!
  20. If you've bought it and had good results, keep using it id say. Generally the ArmourAll range i find is very good for the costs, the tyre shine and leather care are my favorite.
  21. Decent 7/10 episode for me - not overly interested in the off road buggy racing section, just didnt see the relevance........... The new Ford GT
