  1. You very right to be, what cams did you have? I pop'd along to an NPOC rolling road day at HiTech some years back, with panel filter, exhaust, decat, eBay header and afpr made 166bhp - just about normal compared to other SR20DE P11 the same day. Few months later after swapping out the cams to Tomei poncams, ASP header and lightweight under drive pulleys with ignition advance and fuel pressure regulator optimised I gain 30bhp from the late visit. Same the combination of the cams and header just worked great. My brother who had a Corolla T Sport 190 at the time went back there in the week for a run, mods cat back and blitz panel filter made 189bhp which again is about pretty much bang on. These hand built ASP headers were a thing of beauty.
  2. The SR20DE was such a strong lump too, having full bolt on's gained 50bhp+ which is great for non variable cam N/A
  3. The Almera has never been a looker sadly, but I did love my ol GTi - something different from the common Astra GSi, Civic Type R, 306 GTi and Golf GTi's of the day
  4. ^ lol class - absolutely stunning result for the club. Time to defend the cup next year folks!!!
  5. My favourites are Calvin' Car Diary *Nissan GTR owner Performance Cars *Honda S2000 owner Road & Race *BMW M3 e92 owner SJB garage *350z owner Jamie FYD *Lexus GS owner irrc Chris Drift *350z owner I also like the UK supercar volggers, however find the content unrelatable sadly for me. Meet up with Calvin and his brother at Japfest, absolutely sound guys, reviewed a 350z a couple years ago and rated it.
  6. Yes SOUTHBOUND chaps I'm pre pre meeting at Notcutts for 6am with four other JDM motors
  7. Congrats on the purchase, don't they drive simply amazing
  8. Sooooo subjective, I do really like the conventional look of the new CTR interior though.
  9. Not sure if it's been said but previously if your MPSS were XL and the new ones aren't, this might be the difference you are experiencing.
  10. Fantastic, looks an awful section to tackle
  11. Your man in his charged 370z had a tough pull on a stock 300bhp CTR a while back...............
  12. Whats the point of a tracker? Is it to find your smashed up pride and joy after its been rallied...... I have a tracker, however often get asked the question. Would you want it back after an event?
  13. A £30 Dyno run with AFR print out can give you an idea of engine health....... For example
  14. I would consider and ask yourself, why do you 'want' a remap? If it's chasing numbers that's fine, i don't have a problem with that myself. If it's to result in a faster car, again no issues there. However 1000 miles or 3 tanks of fuel later once you got use to the gains, you've shown your mates the new pops and bangs - at this point pretty much the outlay results in something added to your spec list and not a fat lot else truth be told. With my last car a full bolt on SR20 Almera GTi, with intake, exhaust, tomei cams, custom hand built equal length header, lightweight flywheel and pulleys a remap ideally would have been needed as at low rpm it wasn't that nice to drive. Some cam'd high comp N/A and boost builds need a remap, a stock cam'd VQ35 doesn't.
  15. Careful chaps - we'll pass both of these on the way to the show between leaving the M40 and the A43. The B4525 is a mix of national speed limit and 40 zones with forward facing cameras. Northamptonshire Speed Camera Location Nearest Town/village: Crowfield Road Name: B4525 Direction of Camera: Both directions Speed Limit: 40mph Speed Camera Details: Speed camera sited at Crowfield bends about 3/4 mile west of junction of B4525 with A43. There is also a new camera (also variable both ways) on the same road about 6 miles further west at Thenford Hill junction also enforcing a 40mph limit. Both cameras are facing the driver. ta damn
  16. The event is open to the public at 10am, so id say any time before 9am will be fine.
  17. Well fingers crossed we can occupy the larger section of stand for ourselves.
  18. If it start well under hot and cold, then i wouldn't worry too much engine wise.
