  1. Also max torque figure is literally no indication of how a car feels, especially in the lower rpm as the Z torque comes in strong low down.
  2. Plus dual clutch transmissions are heavy compared with conventional manual, but as bhp figures grew the penalty for the extra wright wasn't as great.
  3. DCT gearbox is boss, any daul clutch is mega especially on a daily. Whereas a high revving engine with the bulk of the power being at the top would make a manual gearbox hard work I'd imagine day to day. With a DCT you'll always be in the right gear for the amount of throttle input, rpm and road speed. Do love the Z however as it's so lazy you can literally leave it in 4th a doddle around town from 20mph to the speed limit no drama.
  4. Quite a thing when the experience of a "driver's car" is enhanced by loosing a pedal
  5. It's discontinued I think but showing here on offer at the moment, I've bought some more and hoping I actually get what's described instead of its replacement Seal N Shine https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07SV7BN2Y?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image
  6. I do have a problem 😭😭 I don't feel Seal n Shine the same/as good as their previous Hybrid Sealant Hydrophobic Wax. Crap name but it was an absolute beast in managing water. I bought a couple bottles of ceramic spray coating (completes the trio), interested in the mango 🥭 scented aroma 😄
  7. My first year with my Z found Hastings the cheapest.
  8. Get them while they're hot, cheapest they've ever been https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0833KPK78?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image
  9. Never heard of them, must be rare. I remember the big names from the days Team Dynamics, OZ, Compomotive, Speedline. Cost cutting makes sense for any manufacturer I guess. Bargain buy for someone with an early Peugeot or Citroen then, being such a lightweight cast wheel. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/314578154360?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=akalpusdsys&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=UVSJOLRJSwe&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  10. Never change 205 GTi wheels, it's a motoring rule
  11. Looks a gem, stick around 😁 https://facebook.com/events/s/z-meet-the-piston-club-/1473703806806085/
  12. Pulled back to a Z33 wheelbase and il think it'll look even better 👍😁
  13. Come on in, the waters lovely 😁 nice being ahead of the curve https://www.vogue.com/article/kate-middletons-revealed-shes-a-fan-of-this-buzzy-wellness-trend "Cold swimming, the colder (the water) the better" 🥶
  14. Nothing but facts from some people ay...... If you don't plan on selling anytime soon and handy with roofs, this low mileage example could be a good deal.
  15. ^ yeah absolutely agree. Much like the DC2 type r, S2000 all the power at top so have to bury the throttle to em going which would get tiresome. I love the Z she'll go from any rpm with ease, 20mph in 4th with no need to drop down a gear or two. I can imagine the turbo gen M3/M4 was a huge jump in all round performance and economy, of course a lesser sound.
  16. Point being to some sounds matters. I think it does along with looks, affordability, reliability and the 350z/370z are tough acts to follow. Best sounding V6 twin turbos today? Possibly the ones from Alfa and in the back of the NSX 🤷🏽‍♂️
  17. Nice one. Remember when the Cayman 718 GTS went 2.5 turbo. The performance was better than the previous models N/A engine but the newer cars sounded awful and got slatted in the press in this area. Porsche for the facelift offered that model again in N/A 😁
  18. Much nicer than the 90's amber glow
  19. Well done fella, proper socket was needed
  20. With sports mode engaged they'll have extra pops and bangs utilising fuel dump on over run or between up shifts. Maybe for a TT V6 it doesn't sound bad, however coming from a N/A lineage it'll alway suffer. Think e46 and e92 M3 to F80 M3 - sound wise the older cats have it. I think manufacturers use artificial noises to give more character to an otherwise dull sounding oe exhaust.
