  1. Its like it you bought a set of wheels and tyre for £1800 on finance and after a few months decided you wanted to get the wheels refurbed in a difference colour, nobody would think twice. Its the same the for cars, yes not yours until paid off but evidential mods//alterations take place. Poor example I know, but in principle the same. I think its a tough call, has BMW sold more M cars due to LLF? Possibly a lot of owners would say yes, the channel had influenced their decision over a similar spec Audi, Nissan, Jag or Merc. Are BMW happy with the extra sales, yes but no. Still could all be fake news???
  2. The VQ series was a Nissan designed and built engine, Renault used these as a customer, not the other way round.
  3. You can mod a financed car, like what Litchfield and Mountune do for Nissan, Porsche and Ford - yes what Ricky did was wrong and his close friends should have had a word. This won't have been his first financed car that he's modded over the years. Dare I say it most financed performance cars get modded, like I said it's if you get caught. He got caught that is the only difference.
  4. Looks good Build thread........
  5. Lots of people in the comments above don't get YouTube, it's a business. Not all shop owners own the premises. They're not classed as fronting, it's business. Most corporate companies lease vehicles not buy them, having cash tied up in a depreciating asset. If a car costs 15k in depreciation during the first 3yrs, and leasing or PCP for the same car for the same term costs 10k and you have no intention of keeping it, why pay the extra?..….... People that own their car outright with undeclared mods aren't in a advantageous position should a claim be needed.
  6. Could be a slight leak from the overflow pipe. I think if there was anything untoward with the cap, you'd loose a lot more than a few drops of coolant.
  7. Topic isn't how folks fund cars, its modifying cars on finance.
  8. Our cars are with www.startrescue.co.uk been with them for a fair few years now. Seem decent value and used them only the once on our Note and service was good. Think we pay £99 for 12 months cover on both cars, home start and UK national attendance/recovery.
  9. The same should happen to anyone who modifies a finance vehicle, most likely will be in the small print. This is just a landmark case for all the bank owned vehicles that have their arches cut for rocket bunny kits. Ricky does nothing more than probably a lot of other BIG power tuned vehicle owners. Its all fine until you get caught.
  10. 'sir did you remember to treat my wheel different to batch of the other 10 sets you did that day?" "Yes of course customer, I told the lad and he made sure to run the oven at a lower temperature for longer after all the other wheels just for you"
  11. Powder coating can be bad for forged wheels
  12. Did anyone ever fix their bouncing needle? I have an engine grounding kit fitted but hasn't helped.
  13. Problem is the emission test it the last part of the MOT, ie they'll prob cool down by this time.
  14. Just last week bought a new phone and was considering the P20, feel happy I didn't go for the Huawei now I think. Anyone have a Huawei, how have you found ownership and are you worried at all? I see this as a similar move as what the US did in the early 90's banning the Skyline GTR. Why improve you're product/tech (5G communications) when you can attempt to cripple the competition.
  15. Looks good now, I think the new pin stripes help tie in the tints on the rear lamps a treat. Front plate mod is a neat trick for those cars too. Lucky no no. plate plinth up front either.
  16. Well done pal and at least an cheap & easy fix too going forward.
