Been contemplating a colour change for my wheels but also really like the hyper silver finish. Had some surplus headlamp tint so thought what's the worst that could happen. Have no idea about longevity, however was keen not wrap over an edge and used heat to help seal the edges. Began to create a template using detailers masking tape and transfering this to card. Being translucent it took on the hyper silver gloss and shade shifting appearance, I can't even begin to describe the colour. Spokes did, but hhmmm looks unfinished. Proceeded to do the centre and found one of the kids snack bowl to be the perfect size Getting there but the inner rim seemed easy enough, so made a template for these too. My skill level wouldn't stretch to do the rest of the visible spokes sadly. New custom centre caps as these were blank previously. And the finished result half expecting bits to fly off the first time I take to the motorway.

That looks a nice job!!!

Cheers Andy, pretty chuffed with how it sounds, performs and looks now. The wheel and tyre combo for me is perfect. Not seen another Zed like it either which is good.

Cheers matey, it's was a good session and left at room temperature to cure for 3 days - not intentional as the weather has been rubbish recently to be swapping wheels and spacers over. Kiwami sealant doing its thing and hopefully provides a couple months of protection.

So as seen on FB, my 19' Varrstoen's are ready to go back on Gone from Falken FK452 255/35 & 275/35 to Continental Sport Contact 6 in 245/35 & 265/35. Small amount of stretch but to me that's no bad thing with big wheels and sidewalls on the CSC6 look unreal. Very motorsport with a clutter free design and BIG font for make, model and size. Even at slow speeds straight away the steering felt noticeably lighter and more direct. However compliant over bumps and doesn't tramline like the old 19's did. Hopefully at speeds these Conti's are quieter than the Falkens, which were very old. After the tyre swap out, the wheels were cleaned followed by hand polish and sealant. Applying dressing to brand new tyres, is there a more satisfying feeling?

That's fab news!!!! What's next on the mods list....

But imagine how much quicker you'd have gone with matching tyres, easy 1 second per mile.......

Shop around, a lot of places hear 350z and instantly add sports car added tax for labour times sadly. Kwik Fit will be fine showing before and after print out.

Best thing to do is to pop along to a meet to hear the different exhaust options available. Also the TMT is available with centre and rear and would be my choice. https://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/15-6054

Yes Rich, Iain's saviour welcome along. Have a look at the link below, we'd love to have another local Zed along.

Spot on that, a very nice enhancement indeed. The ease of use for triple makes it a joy to use even by hand. Due to cost have no issue with using it in the engine bay and door shuts either.

Rotten and a another wake up call for enthusiast -
In all honesty these days cars retailers don't get into haggling as most cars are bought on finance. Back in the days when you could walk in with cash or card and do a deal, car seller would rather you took out finance so they get the kick backs that way. Folks aren't knocking a grand off often these days unless the cars are massively overpriced from the get go which is ILU point.
