  1. I've already searched this but to no avail, so...... what the hell is a space saver? and don't say "something that saves space"
  2. I see someone in California is selling a Toyota 2000gt for (drum roll)....... A cool $1.000.000. (symbol smash)
  3. +1 I do this too, but sometimes it doesn't stop someone parking the normal distance from you so they can get the benefit of the space you tried to initially get
  4. I just thought of the B52s with love shack changed to "love sack, baby love sack..... love sack, baby love sack woooooooooo! it's as big as a whale and it's about to set sail!!!"
  5. I drove mine this weekend after letting it sit for 2 months. No probs what so ever, no flat battery and no sticky hand brake. Just a lot of rust on the discs which soon came off after some spirited driving.
  6. you definitely did the right thing by getting new pistons and rubbers. You could've pushed out the piston and given the corrosion some wet and dry action but that's not always the best idea as crap can get in to the imperfect areas that have been rubbed down new rubbers or not. They would've ended up sticking again at some point. Good call, and at least you don't have to worry about it now you're going to track it.
  7. BTW, dogs hate me too, it's a mutual agreement we have.
  8. I think the princess was just a smidge worse than the Allegro.... (shudders)
  9. not that I have been out of my zed for a few years, but yesterday was the first time I have driven it in 2 months. I'd forgotten how much fun it is! you know you'll enjoy yours, especially looking like that!!
  10. I have just sold a 23 yr old gt4 st185. It was highly modified and had a few subtle changes to its original appearance i.e. more stealthy. I sold it for quite a lot more than most would sell for. How was that possible? Because it was a rot free, genuinely nice car. If you have a nice car from any make, you'll get a good price for it. There will always be someone who'll give you just about what you want for it if it's a nice example irrespective of the market value according to what they go on Ebay for, or Autotrader.
  11. How about when you reach 5k you get a free t-shirt with a big "Z" on it. 10k you get an eye mask. 20k you get a cape! which you'll be obligated to wear on every post you make.
  12. if you want to get just an extra 50hp, I think the way forward would be a Hondata ECU-remap with a spoon mani plus something like a buddyclub exhaust. that'll probably touch an extra 50, That's not 5k so he could put the rest in his pocket. Super charging a v-tec FN2 just = mega wheel spin in most gears. I think that's a very well balanced car ruined unless you're an exceptional driver.
  13. I love going out for a drive really early on a sunny morning. Can't do that these days because of the new born, but I will return!!! ( in about 10 years )
  14. Poor man and poor girl. He died trying to teach a child something he loved and she killed him while doing it. She has to live with that for the rest of her life. It's all just too awful for words.
  15. RX8? you can pick one up for around £2500 in fairly good nick. It's RWD and you have to rev the nuts off it to make go!
  16. I think this is the best thread I have ever read on this forum. Fantastic, it's really made me chuckle
  17. I bet that seat cupra is quick, love it!
  18. yeah! if they have the service history you can get the book stamped up.
  19. well lets hope it's just paranoia, I've modded a few cars and sometimes you feel an old jolt or hear funny noise and think " what the diddly is that?" your mind and thoughts can run away to horrible places. It might be something the zed does that you've noticed that others haven't. But of course, it's always wise to ask just in case.
  20. What about a 350Z rally car well, well, well.... who'd've thunk it eh?
  21. Well the first time it happened on the Impreza was about two months after I first purchased it and it was the big end that went. This was due to oil starvation after the oil pump failed on my way back from Japfest one year. ...And the second time was about two years later after I had sunk literally three times or more than the car was worth into performance mods etc. This time it went in spectacular fashion smashing a snapped conrod through the side of the engine block. Turned out to be the best/worst/most unreliable/fastest car I'd ever owned to date at the time. i'm not surprised you threw in the towel. But what does surprise me is, I was always under the impression that subarus were super reliable. Must've been heart breaking... and wallet breaking!
  22. jesus, that's a real bummer GM. But it is hard to find a nice ST185. What was it that failed on the engine?
