  1. from the square number plate rather than the UK rectangular version? I know it's not a honest confirmation as many on here have changed their UK rear bumpers for import ones but, they must have some way of knowing.
  2. One of very few women comedians that actually made me laugh.
  3. They were good in the 80's, Rio was a great album you know I meant the MX-5 . But joking aside Duran Duran really were a bit naff though. Their haircuts just weren't crazy enough. Now, Flock of seagulls, they were a proper 80's flash in the pan band. I think the MX-5 would look better based on this haircut.
  4. Any more info on this??? I don't have the info the police have in regards to number plates, but you can go on the DVLA website and read through what is allowed and what isn't. Yes, if you have an import car you can run import sized plates, bearing in mind the characters are the right size meaning, speed cameras and the like can read them. I had a stick on number plate on my 1991 Gt-Four, I had it on that car for 3 years and I was never pulled as the year of the car pre-dated the enforcement of the rule, which is you're not allowed to on a more modern car. As long as you do your homework and have something to show them that has led you to believe what is allowed by a reliable source (DVLA), it makes it a lot harder for them to issue you with a penalty and perhaps, give you the benefit of the doubt.
  5. Don't get me wrong though, I like Scotland, I like Edinburgh, I like Glasgow a lot, I love the Scottish sense of humour. This Englishman wants Scotland to be happy. If that means being independent then so be it. It's only natural, that a people of a nation want what they believe is best for their country and who am I to deny that.
  6. GDP,PAYE... if Scotland goes independent then good luck to Scotland, I wish Scotland all the best. I can't see the problem personally. What seems to be more of a concern is the undercurrent of bitterness from certain members on this particular topic. I get the impression that some people have got drunk on Brave heart way too many times. Kind of comes across as an inferiority complex and immature.
  7. come on people, you know they're shite.
  8. I had a woman run a red like at the Newmarket road roundabout in Cambridge this morning. I pulled away and she came very late.. it couldn't've been amber as I left when the light was green. So, she almost crashes into my near side front wing. we both stop, I give her an incredulous look but she screamed off and then almost crashed into the guy who was on the right of me who hadn't seen her. I was slightly miffed, but he was proper pi**ed off as he got out at the next set of traffic lights and spat on her window!!
  9. what are those alfa 3.0 V6s like? is it a brera?
  10. I love the kit on that Renault turbo. Looks really smart. I love little turbo charged cars! if I had the money i'd love to have a Renault turbo 5 maxi, just like the old rally slag. it'd probably spend more time over jack than on the road though no doubt.
  11. bloody hell, that looks very nice!!! All to the tune of "the flight of the Valkyries"
  12. my fans aren't working either, got a little bit hot a while back whilst sitting in traffic. I haven't had a proper look at them yet but I think my fans are kaput too. Boooo!!!
  13. that's a fairly expensive car to pay out for someone else to drive.
  14. Wow, that's harsh. I have seen something similar carved into the rear bootlid window of a boy-racer lowered golf that said "iyamercumpleet****" My mate said, "C*nt, it's got a real ring to it". To which I replied "they usually do dave... they usually do"
  15. i'm sure when it's launched they'll smash a bottle of cava on the front grill.
  16. I suppose because it's generally unheard of, you wouldn't think of it. People rely on the good nature of others. Perhaps that's naïve, but it happens or at least, it did to that poor guy. Talk about kick a man when he's down. Where's the humanity? Such a shame.
  17. Your missing a pot on the Rs. that's what I thought, 5 pot my man.... 5 pot.
  18. I don't know there's something I quite like about annoying people by beating them in a boring car. I can't lie, if I was shown a clean pair of heels by a TTrs or even a TTs in my zed...... yeah, I'd be a little annoyed.
  19. spira69 + fodder, don't take my comments so seriously, i don't take yours too seriously. I think people have the capacity to understand it's the owner who is to blame. Loosen up. BTW, Hope the little T is bouncing back.
  20. Octane only really makes any considerable difference on turbo charged cars. That's it. Or as stevo has already said, unless the car (N/A) is mapped to it.
  21. the DVLA and the police have different rules for number plates. I kid you not! I have had an arguement with plod for a good 5 minutes about this. I have the rules and regs printed out from the DVLA which were different to his. Once flashed in his face he just walked off saying " change that number plate or i'll fine you" to which I replied, " no, you wont, because its not illegal, if you were going to fine me you would've done it by now" . Aslong as the characters are the correct size there's nothing they can do about the actual size of the plate.
  22. Err, not sure what vid some of you were watching but, the TTrs had a head start on he first run with the GTR35, on the second run the GTR35 nailed him. But it really does depend how good a driver you are too.
