Do you have to wear a helmet at the ring?
-
I love it!

I had Teins springs on mine and that was just about perfect for getting about over speed bumps. As we all know, UK roads are not like snooker tables, so go low at your peril!!

I'm more surprised he's 86!!!

if you like watching race battles between affordable cars from the land of the rising sun then you might like this. I have spent many hours watching MiRoshi on youtube. A group of guys who have quite good banter and race cars around Tsukuba. Here's one of the zed pitched against a couple of FD type Rs and an STI. There are loads of videos of these guys doing battle in many different cars. German cars Vs Japanese cars that have a similar power to weight ratio. The zed in this video looks like it has a 380 back bumper. Not sure that it is though. But there is a video on MiRoshi where they test the ability of the 380 against an NSX and a turbo porker. Hope you enjoy it.

The clarity of the Titanic picture is astonishing!! I also want a punt gun. I also like how the man in the photo is stealthily stooping in his boat, trying to be incognito, with a gun as long as the barge pole that can kill 50 ducks. I wouldn't worry about it to be honest. With a gun that big how could you possibly miss? i'd imagine it'd probably take out 50 ducks and any other duck hunters in the area hiding behind the bull rushes. -
Thanks for the vids and comments. It's interesting to see how modern tech can get a heavy car to thrust itself across the line in roughly 12 seconds.

What kind of HP do you have to be kicking out to get that kind of time in a golf R or an RS? My Pulsar GTi-R does the 1/4 in 12.1 and that is just over 300hp but it's as light as fart, weighing in at just over a ton. I believe the Golf R and the RS are little on the tubby side aren't they? `1400kgs?

Heat it up with a blow torch. Undo it until it resists. Do it back up again and then WD40 the blighter, then undo it again, more WD40 then do it up to undo it again. Repeat the process until the little sod comes off. -
Does look a bit budget, like the Dacia badge which basically looks like the end of a bottle opener.

Yeah! I knew he wanted it but he was never in a position to purchase and i wasn't in a hurry to sell, but since the opportunity presented itself, i took it. I really like this forum, everyone has great humour and interesting characters. Never a dull moment. Just sourcing some new suspension + related components and wheels for the Pulsar and then the build will begin.

Sitting in my dressing gown Saturday morning waiting for the wife to come back from the supermarket after Tesco have paid dividends to their share holders since she spends a fortune, I see my friend pull up in his car. Doorbell rings. I open the door and there he is all excited and says, " i want to buy your Zed " . " Ooooo.k, but it needs a little work really, new rear tires, fans need checking and what not " He interrupts me with " how much do you want for it?", i told him my asking price and he throws some cash at me. Totally unexpected but very convenient timing, saves me advertising and talking to prats, so it's gone. To the other side of the neighbourhood where i can still hear it being started up. I will miss it but now i can spend thousands on my Pulsar much to my wife's annoyance. i love this forum, it is the best forum for a car i have been on. I'm not going anywhere as i love reading about zeds and people's witty comments. Once my Pulsar project is up and running i'll start a build thread.

How about THIS for complete knobishness! Went to my parents place where my mum was out and only my miserable dad was getting ready to go out for the night. I was using my laptop with my dads printer and as i was just wrapping up a report he said "when you leave don't forget to lock the door! You have your key don't you?" , "yes i do, i have it in the car" So, off he goes. Now, five minutes later i'm packing up my stuff, laptop, phone, car keys, papers. Quite a lot to carry. Before leaving with my hands full, unable to lock the door with my keys which were in my car, brain wave! I'll use the keys in the door to lock the door and post them through the letter box and go. I put my car keys down on the kitchen work top to have a free hand to lock the door. Took the keys out of the door .Closed the door. Locked the door. Posted keys through the letter box. Genius. Walk to my car, but where are my car keys? In the kitchen. No problem i'll just get the key's from my c... Bollocks. I'm locked out with my car keys in the house and my parents' house keys locked in my car. It started to rain and it was incredibly windy. Not wanting to damage my laptop in the rain i went into the back garden and crawled into a plastic Peppa Pig house and sat on a Peppa Pig chair with knees up to my ears. I opened the laptop and i could still get the wi-fi from inside the house. I e-mailed my mum explaining my knobishness in the hope she'd see it on her phone. She didn't. I had to sit in that Peppa Pig house for nearly 2 hours playing solitaire until someone got home. I was not happy.

Pulling away from the petrol station last night, after checking the tyre pressure, i plodded back home and heard a strange noise from the back of the car, as if something had hit it. Suddenly i realised, it was my mobile phone that i had casually left on top of the car while checking the psi . I thought i'll turn back after the round about and see if i can spot it, stop and get it. On the return journey i cruised at 40 checking for traffic behind me. I saw it but it was too late as i drove over it . I thought, well it might still be o.k and tried another round trip. So, while on the way back again i saw possibly three juggernauts coming in the opposite direction. So that was the end of my phone as it was probably well and truly road killed. I've done some stupid things in my life, this is not the worst but by god it's bloody annoying when you have only yourself to blame for the remarkable level of stupidity. On the other hand, i can't think of a better excuse to get a new i-phone.
