  1. looks good so far, will be bang on once painted
  2. Don't mean to hijack this thread but do the facelift cars play mp3 CDs in the 6-cd changer or only standard audio format?
  3. Download Gas Chubby for your smart phone... Yup that's what I did
  4. Well I managed 326 miles on my first full tank. Let's see how i get on with each successive fill up. Made my first entry into gas cubby too
  5. So did my first full tank - shell v power at £1.38/L and at 71L full to the brim cost me £98!
  6. I ain't gonna lie that looks brilliant! But at this moment I think I'm leaning more towards the eyelids now as they're going to be more visible from an exterior point of view
  7. Arran I'm gonna side with you on this one. I've been reading up on both and the injen definitely is a winner over the stillen. It's not to say the stillen isn't good, but the build quality and the install seem to be better on the injen. Now to just save up a bit of cash and take the plunge!
  8. That's a fantastic job mate, looks great! I think maybe once I have more experience with the car I may give that a go, but for now I think I'll probably stick to something which is "ready-made". One question I have though, will I have to file down the holes and that bracket on any kit I buy or will they already be made to size for a perfect fit?
  9. Mine is due for renewal...I wish I could pay what you pay..Cheapest for me is £860 with admiral...Ill see if Club insurers can offer better price.. 33yo.1 ncb...I think London postcodes always ****ing rip off..Last year I paid £1240.. I think mine came down because I also have my polo under my name and also I have a company car which means I'm even less likely to use this car other than the occasional blast. I'm also London postcode as well. If you have another car in your household then see if they'll give you multicar discount
  10. Well yeah, it's not sorted yet but like you say, at least it will be. If it hadn't have gone this winter I was kind of expecting it to next yeah after a few track days. The bloke that filled it said he was unsure when he was working on it so it was always in the back of my mind. I'm going to take the car into one of their branches and let them work on it there, don't really want them doing it on my drive in the wind and rain. That's prob best. I took mine into my mates garage just to change my sidelights! Don't wanna take any risks with this weather
  11. I got a cracking deal on my zed with admiral. Seeing as I'm 25 with 0 years NCB I only paid £630! I was expecting within the region of £1000-1200
  12. At least the screen is sorted mate, especially with the weather getting worse now
  13. True say. Sometimes it's not as "cheap" as it seems getting something from abroad. Out of curiosity what can go wrong with intakes and are there any common faults or problems I should look out for?
  14. There's some decent apps for phone cameras now that allow you to have a longer shutter time etc. this requires a steady hand though. Any specific you recommend for iPhone or android?
  15. Yeh next time we'll hopefully have a better camera than a phone lens. Maybe at one of the bigger meets along with some of the other members
  16. Is it safe to get these from the states? I found this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310760151198
  17. So I've had a look at the injen and they do look good and I also came across the stillen gen 3 http://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/GB/350z_07-08_STILLEN_Generation_3_Ultra_Long_Tube_Dual_Intake_Kit/350Z-402852_.aspx More pricey but also has good reviews Thoughts on the two?
  18. Thanks Arran and GM. Remap is not currently on my to-do list so I guess I'll be looking at something which gives my car that extra growl while sacrificing a few bhp. I'll check out the websites and tarmacs also. I'll post some options here that I find and see what you guys make of it. Btw I've read a lot of people talking about using pop charger cone filters for good noise, are they good?
  19. I'm sure this topic has been covered and asked many times but I did a search and couldn't find a thread which answered my question so firstly apologies if I'm asking a repeated question. I've got a HR engine with the dual air intakes and I'm looking to fit aftermarket products in the coming months but I'm confused with the different products available. I'm looking at the long arm going behind the grill of the car as opposed to the short ones. I've seen people talk about different combinations of pipes with filters and I wanted to know what would be good for improving sound. Also I've heard mixed reviews as to whether you gain or lose bhp - and to be honest with 313bhp already I'm not too worried if it drops by a small amount as I'm not looking to race this car but obviously I don't want to lose a noticeable amount of power. If there's a good combination of sound and either increased power or minimal reduction in power that would be ideal. Also not too clued up on prices, etc so any advice will be welcomed Again sorry if a similar thread has been done before!
  20. I think I'll go for the £20 one for now lol. First things first lets see how thirsty my Z is...I'm almost at the end of my first tank and I'm expecting to have to fill up by end of the weekend or by NYE depending on where I decide to go...
  21. I did that and dropped the bulbs in the lights :-( so had to strip the front end but looks good now lol Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Damn that sounds like a nightmare. I pushed my LEDs into the sockets before putting them through the hole. Made sure it was a tight fit too!
  22. That's fine until you strip the aluminium threads on the oil cap and you cannot get it off..!!! :scare: Which would you recommend then mate? http://www.ebay.co.u...=item19e31d38b1 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BILLET-ALLOY-OIL-CAP-NISMO-SKYLINE-200sx-300zx-350z-/370533757068?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item564588708c Wow £53! That's some expensive jewellery
  23. That's fine until you strip the aluminium threads on the oil cap and you cannot get it off..!!! :scare: Which would you recommend then mate?
  24. Are these ones from china reliable? They seem to be at a good price Oil cap http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=190820308916&globalID=EBAY-GB Rad cap http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=200952275197&globalID=EBAY-GB
  25. Welcome man, I just bought my zed a couple of weeks ago. Had a similar budget to you but went over by £2k because I saw one which I really wanted. You'll definitely find yourself a good zed with that budget - defo look for the HR models and look out for the GT Spec
