  1. Thanks guys I was on the fence between finishing the exhaust and aesthetics. But had a decent month with commission at work so splashed out on the HFCs and Y-Pipe and probably look to upgrade to better panel filters later (probably HKS) and then an Uprev. Aesthetically I'm looking at a Mines or Veilside front lip, chargespeed rear and a nismo v2 spoiler. Oh and also either 20/25 or 25/30 spacers
  2. I've had delivery of my Stillen Y-Pipe and Berk HFCs from Chris at Tarmac but will have to wait until the end of the month to get them fitted unfortunately
  3. A bit of detailing before Wales 2014 And finally a slam panel courtesy of Rickdon which I finally got round to painting and fitting to the zed
  4. March brought yet new additions in the form of sidesteps thanks to Chris at Tarmac
  5. Then more spray painting inspired by 14N And both done together Next I got to work on the engine bay cover itself
  6. After an expensive month I thought I'd take a break and do some "mods at home" i.e. spray painting! Started with the driver side switch surround which I used Plastidip on and the result was Then I tried taking the passenger side off and OOPS! I've been sent a replacement from R35LEE but still not gotten around to fitting it yet (I'm lazy like that lol). In the meantime I switched my Nissan badges over to Z-burgers
  7. February saw my first "big" mod in my opinion. After hearing the exhaust on other zeds I wanted to give mine a bit more umph so after doing some research I opted for the Cobra Resonated backbox and midpipe courtesy of Mitz at Cougar Store who supplied and fitted it for me. While I was up there I met up with my cousin Ajay Panchal (designer of the 350z) and we caught up over a coffee Me and Ajay Stock backbox and midpipe New Cobra Resonated exhaust A short video of the Cobra in action
  8. First mods came with the start of the new year - Jan 2014. I started with carbon bonnet dampers courtesy of 14N which were such a simple yet effective mod and took me all of 20mins to do! After this came the nice and easy LED upgrade - changed my sidelights, interior lights, number plate lights and boot light Next up were the Mad Look Eyelids from Steve at Redline Styling and got them painted thanks to Taras at RT Performance
  9. So I thought that I'd start a build project to be able to document my journey with my Zed. It's not going to be something spectacular or anything, just a place to to keep all my memories in one place So it started on 14th December 2013 when I went to pick her up from a dealer in Essex. She was a stock 2008 UK GT in Ebisu Black with the factory satnav, alezan leather interior and GT4 anniversary wheels.
  10. Tell me about it bud, how long ago did I order this from you? Fits perfectly and love the way it finishes off the front end. Thanks mate
  11. It's not about knowing better......we all do it. It's about just sucking it up when it happens. Try not to beat yourself up NW police are absolutely red hot on speeding tickets. Naughty boy course would mean travelling back up here for the day as well......they're not transferable to other locations. A return trip to Wales wouldn't be the end of the world! I think I'd be giving it a miss if I came up for this
  12. You do know that the rubber surround around the handbrake lever is removable. undo it, feed gaitor thru, then use a flat plastic thing (like a ruler) and tuck it all away, then refit the rubber Will it go back nice and flush as before? Just worried about ripping it when taking it off...are there any "weak spots" on it I should be aware of?
  13. What's most frustrating is that my daily driving style is no where near reckless. In fact I've found myself more at cruising speeds when driving the zed, purely enjoying the ride itself. The one opportunity to test the car in Wales and I get stung. Understandably it was still a public road and I should have known better. And it was on the way home after the whole weekend too!
  14. Yeah they sent it within the 14 days. Just have to bite the bullet and take the hit for it! Definitely a lesson learned though
  15. I'll definitely opt for that if given the choice. But doesn't that only apply a certain speed over the limit?
  16. Ok ok it's my bad and I'll have to face the consequences. Appreciate we don't condone speeding on this forum and not trying to upset the mods or anyone. Just got a bit heavy footed with excitement in Wales
  17. So I got home to find a speeding notice from the recent Wales trip they've mentioned the speed and time and location but no pictures or photos. Do I have a leg to stand on to contest? It was on Sunday after the rest of the group went to lunch and I made my way home. Got caught on the A5. I won't mention my speed but it was enough. Never had a speeding notice before so any advice would be appreciated. Really don't want to have points on my licence
  18. Spoken to a few places but nobody is open on Sunday. Got my Y-pipe and HFCs today and would like to get them fitted this weekend if poss but I'm working Saturday so Sunday's the only day I'm free I know it's a long shot, but if anyone based near London is open I'd like to get it done this weekend, otherwise will have to wait until end of the month
  19. Got half my handbrake gaitor on so far lol. Been at it with an old store card to prevent scratching the surrounds. Hoping to finish off the set this weekend!
  20. Just seen this now - amazing job mate! Love the orange interior
