  1. door pull sorted for now, anyone got a gear knob?
  2. thanks to Lee for the heads up....it's a long way but we've always fancied visiting the lakes....plus I see the possibility of skydiving, my mrs would be entertained too. I'll chat to her and see what "we" (!!) think.
  3. i'd be happy to help you. Im near Camberley.....its not hard and you can help / watch and learn. PM me.
  4. Did you get it sorted? I'm only a junction up the m3 if you need help PM me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Crazy isn't it. When we were looking, the perfect car was for sale (except the price) - a red 2008 roadster, with about 30k miles...that was £13995. Didn't even bother ringing the dealer....way over priced! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Here's a pic of how it came out....feels like a rubber coating, impressive stuff! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Yes they fold down no problems In the cold, they are better in every respect. Yes I understand the same; it needs to stretch a bit and with the cold weather it's going to take a little longer. Ours is almost done now, about 2 weeks after fitting, the seal at the rear which sits on the bodywork wasn't quite sitting down fully but it's almost there now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Not me but I'll keep an eye out for you both, I'm very local Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Good stuff, mohair is much better. It will outlast the factory ones by years, just make sure you look after it. Is everything sealing ok or does it need to stretch a bit?
  10. Wow that does sound epic. Our plan at the moment is across to Amsterdam, couple of nights there, down to Brussels, couple of nights there (f1 in spa) then carry on down, but not sure where yet. I'm fairly limited on picking because the 350z is actually my mrs car, so it's one of those " 50/50" decisions...lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Wow I wondered how this was done. Dynamo magician hasn't got anything on these guys. It takes a lot to impress me but that is mad! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I've just given this a go using this fancy new plastidip stuff. It's come out pretty well for a first coat, I'd recommend it to anyone Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Brilliant write up, really enjoyed the read. I see your in Bracknell , I'm just down the A30 in Camberley We are hoping to do something like this in August this year. Trying to work in the Belgium F1 at spa too (August bank holiday weekend) Do you have any plans for your trip this year yet? Thanks for taking the time to post, made me think I just need to book the train etc and go for it Mark Ps I used to have an SMG2 M3. It also did the gearbox thing...in the lion enclosure at longleat !! Lol! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Nice job, did you get any better / closer pics? Is the roof the same material as the original or is it mohair? I got the roof replaced on my girlfriends roadster a few weeks ago, I used Carhood warehouse in Chessington , as it's local to us. I'd highly recommend their work too. Good to hear there are two decent companies for people to choose from! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Sold on eBay - please lock Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Sounds like fun. As said, we've got one and now the 350z is up and running we are going to sell it. Problem is, it's done 140k miles and although it's in amazing condition and drives like a 14k mile car, it's worth very little....so I might just turn this into a track car and follow in your steps! They aren't all that fast but they are great fun! Here's ours Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Sloutrou that's a good point. I've currently got a BMW 118d (boring I know!!), the 350z is my girlfriends, so I "suggest" she drives my car a couple of times a week - when she drives her car, she enjoys it so much more. But it does sound to me like nowhereboy's heart just isn't in it, so the best thing is just to trade up and enjoy what he loves, high revving Civics...and let's be honest they are cracking hot hatches so you can hardly blame him! 18. It's a sign, get rid! Try and bargain the dealer down some more, if he can up your car £200 and lower the civic £200 it's a straight swap. Get the car running and trade it in. From the sounds of it you wouldn't feel comfortable selling private knowing it's not 100%, and I know how you feel, I'd be the same. Get the fault codes read, and see what you need to do. P.s get some roadside recovery now!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Do you have the side indicator/repeater lens? Clip has broken on mine. Happy to buy the pair if you don't want to be left with one. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks for the answers in this thread. Ha the esp and traction lights, found this thread, checked and topped up brake fluid...light goes out thanks guys
  21. I'll buy her some led rear lights new, at some point, but it's been an expensive couple of months! Still after a gear knob and door pull Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I replaced the triple gauge cluster and it fixed the problem, must have had a faulty / damaged gauge cluster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Just an update; I don't recommend buying from the key case seller " remotefobcentre " We ordered our case around Christmas time and it never arrived. The seller has sold out for now and can't replace it... My opinion is that they never sent one. Anyway, need to find another seller for this key case now, so Still haven't managed this! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Just an update for anyone who searches in the future. The triple gauge cluster must have been faulty - I replaced it with another set and it worked. Just unlucky I guess! If you have this problem, it must be the gauge cluster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
