Drove a few but ultimately just didn't wow me enough to move from Zed's. I did agree to buy one and 'assumed' that since it was from a Porsche dealership it would have a full service. Turns out they only do that if it is due in the next 3 months and this car was due a major one in 5 months - and they were telling me that it would have to be done by a Porsche dealership to maintain the warranty - and at big cost. Anyway, I saw my arse and told them to forget it. This did get me questioning why I was bothering especially as I like the Zed's so much and they suit my purpose. As I was pondering an absolute steal of a 370Z came up and it was meant to be. So now I have a super low mileage 2016 370Z GT sat on my drive and I have no regrets.

OK, so I completely failed to escape. Having a Porsche, having a Porsche, not having a Porsche... Test drove a few and yes they are good, very good, but just didn't do enough for me to tempt me away from Zed's. I was still 'confused' when an absolute steal of a 370Z came along which will be mine by the end of the week. After 4 previous Zed's you wouldn't think I would be excited but I am. Can't wait...

After nearly three years lurking....

The Le Mans Blue is such a great colour, even better in the flesh than in the photo's. Did you a favour the other car falling through. -
You really want to avoid PX if you can. The 'book value' of 350's is really low and does not reflect what you can normally sell for. Although it can be a pain it is well worth trying to sell privately, you could get £000's more. Before letting the road tax bill bug you into selling, have a good look around at alternative cars. There is not a lot that comes close in value for money.

Is the roadster exhaust the same as the Coupe one? I have a 2006 Coupe one that has only done 20K miles. Was fine when I took it off and has been stored indoors. Located Cheshire.

Welcome to the forum. If you look in the meetings section you will find information on how to book cheap tickets for Supercarfest as part of the club.

It will be soon - get used to it.

They did not do HR's in Sunset Orange (ginger). The HR's were Temper Orange which is the very bright orange.

I feel the same. Intend to keep the Cayman for a couple of years and hoping that Nissan bring out a Zed that will tempt me. I bought a 2014 Cayman because I wanted the flat 6 and went with white because that was the colour of the Porsche in the poster I had on my bedroom wall as a kid.

I'll get some pictures as soon as I have picked up the car - hopefully Thursday.

Lifelong promise to myself to own a Porsche so bought a Cayman today. Have no doubts that after the Cayman I will be back in a Zed.

Sadly just sold my 350Z. Its the 4th Zed I have owned and I think they are fantastic cars. It was a hard decision, made harder by the fantastic community that surrounds these cars. However I am going to continue to lurk around because somehow I feel this is not the end of my Zed journey .... Thanks all for the support and friendship.

SOLD - please lock this thread thanks.

I agree and am reluctant to part with it. However, from a young age I promised myself I would own a Porsche and that time is now or it will never happen. Interesting though that after playing around in a Cayman this morning I got back in the 350Z and still really enjoyed it. Hats off to Nissan they did a fantastic job with the 350Z.

Being a long term member of this forum and having now owned 4 Zeds, I am offering my low mileage 350Z for sale on here before it gets PX'ed next week. Car needs to be paid for by Thursday 16th January. Obviously if it enters the dealer network it will sell for a lot more. Please contact me for more info but in brief: Located Nantwich, Cheshire. Silver Nov 2006, 300hp DE Revup, UK car - the Revup is the one with the revised bumper and interior (as HR). Just under 20,000 miles, 3 previous owners. Service history and last serviced 2,500 miles ago - all fluids and filters and multipoint check. New Falken FK510 tyres all round 2,500 miles ago. Car still had original tyres but I changed them because they were 2006! Cobra resonated half system fitted 2,500 miles ago - still have original exhaust. No other modifications. No rust, bodywork is superb as is interior - not even any wear on drivers seat bolster. Priced at £8K - a bargain.

Lovely car. Tempted to treat myself to a Christmas present ....

Yup - by about another 25 years. Wonder how old we need to be before insurance goes up again due to being doddery old fools with slow reaction times. If my son is reading this - no comments from you please.

Next Ilogikal1 mega test - how many cars can you wash with a bottle of Fairy compared to cheaper brands?

The Roma looked a bit like an F-type at first glance from some angles.

If you replacing your 350z, what would you get next?

I went from 370Z Nismo to RS3. The RS3 was amazingly fast, much quicker than the Nismo, more so than any figures would suggest. But to really enjoy the RS3 you had to be doing way beyond licence losing speeds - so most of the time you might as well just be driving a standard A3. Main pull of the RS3 was the joy of the 5 cylinder engine. Apart from the engine no real character hence me going back to a 350Z which you can enjoy all of the time. Tempted by a Cayman but only because I promised myself a Porsche from childhood and its an itch I will need to scratch sometime. -

I had a 20V turbo some years back. Absolutely fantastic, definitely one of the best cars I have ever owned. It was boosted just a little more than stock and that seemed plenty in the way it delivered the power. Had the cloth 'turbo' seats which looked great, sprint blue with the bodykit so looked the business too. Very nose heavy with that 5 cylinder engine but more than made up for it in character. -

I went 350Z - 370Z - 370Z Nismo - Audi RS3 - 350Z So basically just stick with the 350Z -
