  1. Jetset Pete, Your picture from 30 years ago looks very much like my pics from 30 years ago. Must dig one out.
  2. Should be able to find one for that money with a little patience. Bought mine recently, Temper Orange, 2009, 50K miles, FSH and very well looked after for a smidge under £11K. More than I would have paid but got a cracking p/x price on my Z4 and its the difference that counts.
  3. Why not test drive a 350Z and see what you think? I have owned a GTV and Fiat Coupe Turbo (x2) and prefer the ride and handling of the Z. Must admit though that I would still like a GTV or Coupe as my 'third' car.
  4. Just registered a few domains with 123-reg but paid by Paypal. After credit card being ripped off just before Christmas I try not to have it registered here, there and everywhere.
  5. Fully comp is often cheaper than TPFT. Also consider putting wife / girlfriend or a parent on as a named driver.

For £18K I would be happy to sell you my Temper Orange 350
  7. What complete rubbish. Get yourself back in there, speak to the Sales Manager not the spotty oink, be assertive and let them know you will speak to Trading Standards. Better still, talk to Trading Standards first! Sort it quickly.
  8. Anyone got standard airboxes for a 313 that they want to sell? Thanks, P
  9. Everyone knows that Temper Orange is the best colour for a Z. Just that most are not brave enough ...............
  10. Not a problem here in Cheshire where most of the salt is mined. Lazy spreaders set the spread so wide as to cover both sides of the road and the pavements. If you see them coming and don't have time to duck down a side road then you get a complete car de-ice. Usually followed by a telling off from my passenger for foul language.
  11. Not sure if I would bother either. Presumably they have seen the car and if they did not ask specifically if it had been modded then should be no problem. I recently bought my 350Z from a reputable dealer. It has some mods and they never brought them to my attention. I also had to sit through the usual crap of 'we are phoning around for the best price on your p/x', which was actually a very nice (but old) Z4, and then they just sent it to auction anyway. The Z4 had loads of extras including private plate, hardtop, couple of different wind deflectors, indoor/outdoor covers etc all that were thrown in when I bought the car. Garage made no allowance for these in p/x price so I removed and sold separately. Hardtop £1K, plate £1.2K, other bits £600. I did advise garage that I was doing this, they did not care less, in fact got a 'well done' from the salesman.
  12. Wife's car was keyed across bonnet some years back. Chipsaway sorted it, around £60 - 80 I think, but was such a good repair that you could not tell where the scratch had been. 3 years later when we sold the car there was still no sign - very pleased. Car was a metallic black. Not easy to impress me but I was impressed.
  13. Now owned by me. Fantastic car, and well cared for by Daz.
  14. I recently bought a cheap reversing camera from E bay (no doubt manufactured in China) and the picture quality is OK in the light but poor in the dark although supposed to have night vision. On my other car I have a manufacturer fitted camera and the night vision is superb. I guess you get what you pay for hence the much higher price for the Alpine camera's, although £150 is a bit steep. As for fit, mine is an Alpine head unit and just appears to have a DIN input for the camera. On the Z the camera is fitted in the blanking plate for the towing eye. An easy place to fit it but can get obscured by exhaust fumes on cold mornings. Camera is wired into reversing light but am considering wiring so it is permanently powered so I can have some rear vision all the time. With Nismo rear spoiler and heavily tinted rear windows, the rear view is crap. As yet not overly impressed with the Alpine but car is new to me and am still in the 'engine sound is all the music I need' stage so have not had a good play with it.
  15. Just bought myself a 350Z as one of my many mid-life crisis cars (an excuse that seems to work with the other half). The 350Z was not the crisis - the decision to buy a Temper Orange one was. But I have to say that every day it grows on me and I love the car. Pics of my lovely girl will follow (car not the wife) when I get chance to clean her. 2009, Temper Orange, Gunmetal Rays, NISMO rear spoiler, and countless other goodies I will list when I have time to properly poke around. And the advantage of buying such a beast at 50 years old - dirt cheap insurance - around £270 with only one year no claims (rest of claims on my other vehicle). There are some advantages to being an old git!
