Sold the 350Z this morning - best car I have ever owned. After weeks of 'should I, shouldn't I' finally bit the bullet and let it go. There will be a big gap on my driveway where my Temper Orange used to sit. On the plus side I owned it for 2 years and lost only a few hundred quid on it so from a financial point of view it was bloody brilliant. Will post a few bits and bob's for sale in the next couple of days. Many thanks to all the forum members. Have been on quite a few forums over the years and this is by far the best one.

2009 313 GT HR in Temper Orange, 56K miles, £10K
Ponsonby replied to Ponsonby's topic in Zeds For Sale
Point taken, thanks. Have embedded a 'taster' and will try to do the rest tomorrow. Cheers. -
Looks like someone thought it was a 4WD.

SOLD!! Mods can you please delete this thread. Thanks 2009 313 GT HR in Temper Orange, 56K miles. Here she is, one of the last 350Z’s. A 2009 (20/2/09) on a 58 plate in the very best colour for a Z, Temper Orange. No photographs do this colour real justice, has to be seen in the flesh to appreciate the real depth of colour. If you are going to have a special car you need it in a special colour. Alezan leather seats compliment the exterior colour. 2 mature owners from new. Both forum members, myself and previously helimeddaz. Cost Daz nearly £33K when new. Has full service history including belts and plugs. Extra’s and Upgrades Full Nissan satnav. Nismo dual air intakes. Nismo rear spoiler. Illuminated side Z markers. Alpine Audio – flip out head unit/DVD, amplifiers, iPod interface with storage compartment, Hertz speakers, 6 CD changer, sub driver, etc. Professionally fitted, cost Daz £000’s. Rear view camera. Full set of 350Z mats including boot. Nissan Tonneau in boot. Usual GT spec including electric seats, heated seats, cruise control, etc. Condition She is in beautiful condition and has been well looked after by both Daz and myself. There are the usual stone chips on the front bumper and a few on the bonnet (completely unavoidable) but not noticeable unless you look closely. There are no scratches in the paintwork and no parking dings whatsoever. Seats are excellent with only very minimum wear on drivers bolster (see pics). I think that it would be difficult to find a better 350Z. I am only selling her because I am doing such a low annual mileage in her and it just seems such a waste of a fantastic car. It is an expensive ornament! Bad Points Would not want to waste anyone’s time so I will be honest. One of the wheels may soon need a refurb. It is not bad, just not as good as the other three. There is a little damage on the trailing edge of the spoiler (see pic) a couple of inches long. This could be easily sorted out by a professional for a modest fee. The tyres are mid range tyres. They were on when I got the car, suspect Daz or the dealer put some lower cost ones on to get the car through an MOT. Reviews on them are pretty good and since I drive sensibly, never felt the need to change them. Price I have been offered £9,600.00 by a local dealer. This is, as expected from a dealer, a little low but obviously a hassle free sale. However, I would rather the car went to a forum member so am willing to let it go for £10,000.00 but will not barter on the price. Will consider selling to the trade if no takers on the forum. Please pm me if interested. Located in Nantwich, Cheshire. Loads more photo's can be found below, enjoy Will embed tomorrow when I have more time. http://imageshack.co...1751/BlMViO.jpg http://imageshack.co...2199/u373Gi.jpg http://imageshack.co...9079/buYJT6.jpg http://imageshack.co...1711/gsVr1O.jpg http://imageshack.co...7112/N4wyoQ.jpg http://imageshack.co...4117/rJyaR8.jpg http://imageshack.co.../493/ivWdqL.jpg http://imageshack.co...5667/KPn5uh.jpg http://imageshack.co...9638/Clzp5R.jpg http://imageshack.co...3421/z5crBi.jpg http://imageshack.co...9867/l6eiJv.jpg http://imageshack.co...2008/G31P3B.jpg http://imageshack.co...3769/TcdweU.jpg http://imageshack.co...2662/ECqkmL.jpg http://imageshack.co.../518/P4OEYz.jpg http://imageshack.co...3082/qHASNL.jpg http://imageshack.co...4499/OfbVz4.jpg http://imageshack.co.../523/EffXqQ.jpg http://imageshack.co...6939/BY9vSw.jpg http://imageshack.co...2495/lWliLp.jpg

Bet they gave the seller 'book price' for it too! It does say 'excellent investment potential' so is clearly going to be worth a lot more in a few years - not! My Z is one of the last 350's and clearly going to be a collectors piece - offers over £20K please

'Best' one I saw when sat in a supermarket car park was a lady who came out of shop carrying what was clearly a very heavy box. She slid the box onto the bonnet of an expensive car followed by her large handbag while she routed around for her keys - my thoughts were 'why would you treat your car like that'. But then she used the keys to open her car - which was the car next to the expensive motor!! Normally I would have had to have said something - but was too speechless!! Some people's disregard for other people's property is astounding.

My Temper Orange is listed as Red. Guess it could also have been yellow ..

Not 'too' bad Rob. I started out with an 850 mini, followed by a 900cc Fiat, and then a GLS Avenger. Thought the Avenger was the dogs nuts because it had a rev counter (not many had in those days) and a vinyl roof that frequently removed itself. After the Avenger I had a 2.0S Cortina and the 'sporty' cars started from there, apart from a few relapses to more sensible cars when I was skint.

Had one of these myself. Loved it. Also had the S12 Sylvia which was my first turbo car - sooo much lag, handled like a pig, but is the car I remember most.

Sellers website looks like they do actually care about the quality of cars they are selling - mainly one owner, full history, lots of decent quality pictures. Plus the seller cares enough to post a response on this forum. May be worth going back for another look and less heated discussion if you were happy with the car. Personally I fall out with salesmen when they insist I go on a test drive before we can discuss the deal. I want to know the deal before I waste my time on a test drive and have to be subjected to the usual sales patter that I have heard so many times before.........

I am sure you will enjoy the Cayman. Starting to consider what I would move to next and Cayman top of the list at the moment. I would go 370Z but most of my working life my goal was to earn enough to buy a Porsche. This goes back to when they were rare, not common like they are now, but still appears to be an itch I need to scratch.

New Member wanting to ditch the 8 and get a Z
Ponsonby replied to nonamecc79's topic in Introductions & Welcome Messages
Had a couple of RX8's before the 350Z and have no regrets changing to the Z. Really enjoyed the RX8 and was great for chucking around but really love the power (torque) delivery of the 350Z and the V6 sound track. I considered a 350Z when buying my first RX8 but did not like the interior but would have been comparing a 350Z that was a couple of years old with the more modern look of a brand new RX8 - and thought the RX8 interior and useful back seats was fabulous plus the 'novelty' of a rotary engine. I kind of forgot about the 350Z (sinner) until I went to look at an HR version with Rays alloys and better quality interior and then had to have one. Both great cars but I enjoy the 350Z more. Take one for a good test drive and see what you think. Just had a look at your RX8. Still love the interior and looks of the car. So much car for so little money. Shame their starting reputation and engine longevity killed the market for them. I have had 2, neither ever failed to start, but the RX8 forum made me paranoid I must admit. -

Fair play to him for doing that. Looks terrifying.

The Argies will probably invade as soon as the Vulcan is out of service : ( -

Ponsonby replied to Toon Chris's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Can't believe it will not be flying any more after this year. Wish someone like Red Bull or 'Beardie Branson' would fund it and keep it flying. Would not even object to their logo on the tail if they fund it. -
Hi Ian, Go for A, you will be more relaxed with your reply since you are telling the truth plus any employer would fully expect you to be looking at other positions. Be prepared for the fact that they may ask who these other positions are with and the job description - this way they get some idea of your current and future aspirations. You could also add some BS and say that the position you are being interviewed for is the one that you really want. Importantly, do your homework and find out all you can on the Company, I hate it if I interview someone and they have no idea what my company does. Good luck. Chris

SATIN SILVER 350Z 'Z' EMBLEMS
Ponsonby replied to Asad's topic in 350Z & 370Z Z Emblems Accessories Sales
Hi Asad, Just sent you some money via Paypal for front and rear emblems. My son was delighted with the Z keyring I bought from you before Christmas : ) Chris -
Looks superb. A mix of your new blue + polished bits should be interesting.
-
Yup - a couple of randomers who just happened to be driving a 350Z that matched 14N's engine bay Need to stay at the Moreton next year so I / we can get to know people better. At least we left before the 'show and shine' to give the rest of you a chance
-
Anyone going to Pageant of Power this year? I have my tickets for the Sunday - probably last appearance of the Vulcan over Cheshire since they reckon it will not fly any more after 2015. Good venue for me - 20-25 mins down the road. Chris

I had a nose at 4C's over lunch and they are more expensive than I thought. Asked myself if I would buy one for that price and decided that I would probably prefer a similarly priced Jaguar F Type. A very special car, looks fantastic (in the right colour - the burnt orange for me), and possibly does not require you to be a yoga instructor to get in and out of. Just a thought - but obviously if it is a 4C you desire most then a 4C you should get. But I will have to pull out of the Group Buy for the 4C's
-
I agree it is over-rated. Drove some better roads just getting there thanks to Nissan Sat Nav that was obviously calibrated to 'most fun route' rather than 'quickest route'. Must pop over to Wales more often though to 'remind' myself why I bought a 350Z. Have fallen in love with the car all over again.

Only called in on Saturday afternoon after a trip to Triangle but thanks everyone for chatting to myself and my son - he will put together a video soon (once he has done his homework) and we will get it posted. Thanks to the organisers and also I guess to the Moreton for hosting such an event. Great to see so many 350Z / 370Z together and every one of them as individual as their drivers. Chris
