I've seen that episode before, it's a few years old I think. The guy that does the stainless refinishing is a talented bloke, he goes all over the world doing Deloreans.
We all live and learn I guess. I try to use the traders on here as much as possible because they know their stuff, I've had loads off Chris at Tarmacsportz he's a top guy to deal with.
I really like them, I know they are very dated now but I still think they are very stylish. I nearly bought one years ago when they where still cheap, I'll put that in the same regret folder as the Nsx and Honda Nr I also nearly bought!
There are halo kits available for the DE headlights from other places. http://flashtechusa.com/flashtech-white-led-headlight-halo-kit-for-nissan-350z-2003-2005-ni-35z0305-wh.html
What makes them crap?
I've had several for several different vehicles in the past and they never last more than a few months before they are running flat. I know they come with a guarantee but I can't be doing with the hassle of taking it back to be replaced constantly.
Only other thing I can think of, are you sure everything on the stereo is wired correctly, there's no bare wires touching anything and all earths are bolted up?
I've had totally knackered batteries that show 13v just after charging, Halfords do a free battery health check that checks cranking and charging capabilities etc.
Edit: just don't buy a Halfords battery if yours is duff, they are crap.
