You've not damaged the ribbon while fitting the stereo? Are you sure it worked correctly before fitting? Could be the White control box that's faulty.

We all live and learn I guess. I try to use the traders on here as much as possible because they know their stuff, I've had loads off Chris at Tarmacsportz he's a top guy to deal with.

Go for a CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Light) Halo kit from elsewhere then, they are meant to be a lot more reliable.

I got fed up of waiting and bought mine a while back from Chris. Best to send him a PM about them.

What makes them crap? I've had several for several different vehicles in the past and they never last more than a few months before they are running flat. I know they come with a guarantee but I can't be doing with the hassle of taking it back to be replaced constantly.

Only other thing I can think of, are you sure everything on the stereo is wired correctly, there's no bare wires touching anything and all earths are bolted up?

They look great

I've had totally knackered batteries that show 13v just after charging, Halfords do a free battery health check that checks cranking and charging capabilities etc. Edit: just don't buy a Halfords battery if yours is duff, they are crap.
