I refitted my handles today and found this trick helpful. Get some thin card and roll it into a tube then put the tube in the door hole around the bolt. If the bolt drops then it can't go anywhere and you won't lose it. Hope that helps Grundy225

That's the stuff but I'm sure you can't clear coat plastidip afterwards, I may be wrong as never tried to!

I'd try plastidip first too. Just mask off around the button to save removing it .

Yep that's an import. You can tell by square rear number plate and added fog light

Probably will at some point but short term I was more wondering how wide the top of the gaiter is - ie is it as wide as the base of the OEM knob or is it closer to the diameter of the gear stick shaft and slides up underneath the OEM collar? David Oh right sorry. Gaiter is a close fit around the shaft so will be tucked under gear knob neatly

You may see a circular mark in the gaiter where the original knob has sat . Buy a new gaiter and it shouldn't be a problem

I can't see it all failing at once, check the fuses , if your not sure which one it is take them out ,check and replace one at a time.

Try using a scalpel they are so much better for the job than a Stanley knife
