Agree also. A bit too much Phil and not enough Ant and team at work. The show would benefit massively from an A-Team stylee fix-up montage at the very least! I want to see welding and grinding and men in overalls sweating and swearing quite a lot coz bits don't fit properly etc. (OK so that was my experience of O level metalwork but I can't believe it is as easy as they make it look!) One minute Ant is poking at rusted bodywork and saying that it is a lot of work, he and Phil go for a drive around the M25 and then suddenly ta-daa! Job done. Still love the show but feel they need to re-balance it slightly.

I love boxing but I wasn't interested in staying up all night to watch that. Figured Mayweather would win on points but Manny was surprisingly disappointing. He claims he has had shoulder problems, which I believe, but I don't think he would beat Mayweather even on his best day. I don't think Khan would get anywhere near Mayweather either. Mayweather may be the best boxer of his generation but he is hated by boxing fans. To be booed into the ring by fellow Americans says everything.

Having a ginge myself, those photos make me feel a little bit sick!
-
Don't normally go for the soft tops but that looks brutal. Enjoy.

Nice Zed. Gotta love the ginge's. Once bitten, forever smitten!
-
Exactly. If you are buying privately then you need to challenge them on their decisions.

I haven't spotted another ginge in Darlo in the 18 months I have had mine, so it was an unexpected and slightly surreal moment today when I clocked one on the way to the shops. It was like an out-of-body experience where I was watching me driving towards me! I got the impression that my ginger counterpart was equally surprised!!

I have put a full set of Goodyear EfficientGrips on mine and it never steps out or surprises me. The car had Falkens on the back when I got it and they were a rather unpredictable and scary, especially in the wet. Got rid of them pretty much straight away.

First 350Z ... New to all things Nissan

Welcome! I look at changing gear in the Zed as giving my lazy left leg a bit of a work out! -
I go supermarket shopping in the Zed all the time as the missus works longer hours than me and the supermarket is on my way home from work. I tend to go to supermarkets where I can park away from other cars as I'm as paranoid of dings as everyone else. I would say that the divider is a massive help in stopping stuff flying about. It makes no difference to noise reduction though.

LOL! That was me, Mikey. Thought to myself that I should give you a shout on the forum and then promptly forgot (because work and life got in the way). Thanks for the shout. I'll give you a flash and a wave next time I see you. -

Hydro dipped interior parts ~ door pulls & grab handle
DonCool replied to GMballistic's topic in Interior
Yeah, mine a bugging the bejesus out of me too. Can anyone recommend somewhere in the North East that can do this sort of thing? -
Proper Bo, matey! Glad you've seen the light!

None.. now. Have had nine in about 20 years of driving, all from traffic cops. The last copper was pretty decent, "Well I clocked you doing 93 but we both know that by the time you saw me you were going a lot faster than that." He wasn't wrong. He also said nice things about my mr2. It was the nicest bollocking I've ever had!

Cheers Dudes. Great forum, great car!

Just had a clutch and flywheel done at Falcon (plus a P3 and other bits). Very professional, knowledgable and thorough.

Welcome! Orange is the best colour!!! -
Aye matey.. that was me! Figured from the NE list it must be you. Well met!

Would rather have a Jag than a pokey BMW or Merc any day of the week. Have warned my mother that any money she leaves me will be blown on a quality motor. (Given that she has driven jalopies all her life, she's not terribly impressed!)

Yes I have had similar experiences with total strangers feeling moved to comment on how much they like my car. The Zed punches well above it's weight (cost) in terms of looks and performance. They tend to get looked after too so a 10 year old car can look brand new. I hooked up with an ex-colleague a year ago before I got my Zed and we got onto the subject of cars. I said I was planning to buy a Zed and showed him a picture of an orange one with the alezan seats (which I eventually got) and he immediately blurted out, "F***ing hell! How much do you earn?!" to which I responded that you could get a decent 10 year old example for around £7k. He then looked crestfallen and admitted to me that he had recently bought a brand new Renault Clio for £10k. On hearing that I laughed so hard I nearly wet myself!
