  1. Mine smells of burning rubber/oil after a hard drive , it's very very common
  2. The extra soundproofing on the Edition is noticeable especially on the motorway.
  3. It has a 12v pump in the boot as well as tyre sealant Never driven a manual 370 I wanted the auto .
  4. Your warranty if any is with whomever you purchased the part from not who made it . You only have a contract with the supplier of the goods If you buy a Phillips kettle from tesco you wouldn't return it to Phillips if it broke
  5. Tyre pump etc comes already fitted in spare wheel well Exhaust is crap but easily sorted Lot more features though , premium connect is epic , sat nav finally worth having Wing mirrors aren't that big, barely big enough, rear view still poor but standard reverse camera on that one you linked Brakes are so much better than the brembos though function over form The boot comes with a luggage cover and net , it would be pretty hard for anything to enter the cabin
  6. I don't think you need sat nav its a doddle , when you hire a car you can prepay a toll pass and then you need not worry or even slow down through the tolls
  7. We liked the Outback Steakhouse on int dr , pitchers of beer and good food We named Int dr the highway of tat , pretty accurate really , there is a nicer end and a not so nice end , you'll soon work it out
  8. That's a myth , correctly oiled ones won't damaged the sensor.
  9. The rule of thumb with nitrous is .5 hp for every hp you have , above that things can get tricky , a 150+ shot is not for beginners
  10. I've also known people to weld the centre of crank pulleys you run a ring around the hole and the heat expansion can pop stubbon ones off , the idea is to fit a new one afterwards
  11. Love to see a defi set up for £100 , personally I think they are over rated , over priced fashion accessories
  12. http://rspec.co.uk/ Try Dave at R Spec , top man with massive range of good gauges and good UK based warranty
  13. No shortage of used cars around , walk away £7k will buy something better
  14. If they ask you are obliged to tell them , some insurance companies like Admiral are still loading policies for SAC.
  15. I found it very easy , I put the back box on first since it's supported on the rubbers it helps stabilise the other pipes as you fit them I also unbolted the brackets with the rubbers on rather than struggle trying to get the rubbers off in situ As usual just bolt everything together loosely first before starting to tighten

    The R33

Sorry mate but that's tosh . R33 runs .6 bar if you remove the two stage it runs .6 all the time rather than the .4 bar initially it doesn't increase the boost, the wheels break much below 1.2 the series one r33 only has ceramic exhaust wheels the series two and r34 run ceramic exhaust and fibre intake wheels and are more fragile .8-.85 is the safe limit for both but they can cope with spikes up to 1bar. It's the speed that kills them not heat. Rods and crank in the rb25 can run 500hp it's the pistons that are the weak point , I ran 1.45 plus 50hp of gas in mine around 475hp, all stock, car ran mid twelves and was tracked as well.
  17. but if you did drive it and have a crash without an mot, your insurance wouldn't pay out. Yes they would ! As said mot has nothing to do with insurance

    The R33

Stock turbo maxes at .8 bar above that the fibre wheels have a tendency to shatter? The shock unit with rebuilt steel garret internals will go up to 1.6 bar but starts to tail off performance wise about 1.45 I get your logic about fitting a Fmic for future mods but below about 320hp the stock r34 one will give the best all round performance People fit front mounts for looks most of the time , any performance benefits they give are at the expense of hp and torque lower down the rpm range where most people spend most of their time , #formoverfunction
  19. Insurer will pay out less for a car without a current mot though

    The R33

It has to, the more volume the turbo has to pressurise the longer the boost takes to get to the engine its simple physics , its might not be noticeable when driving but its there

    The R33

Larger front mount on the stock turbo will make it more laggy , the r34 side mount is a good upgrade since they run .8 bar from the factory so it's been designed for the job
  22. Roads near me are very bumpy , I find the 370 much better than the 350 which had a tendency to be a bit skittish on uneven surfaces , the 370 has a wider track and tyres than the 350 which helps
  23. Cheap speed = Chav , seems once a model can be bought for about 5k it can attract them plenty in 350's, Evo, Scoobs and Skylines once they get around that price.
  24. I've owned 400+ hp cars a Evo 6 and a r33 gtst neither would be suitable for a daily IMO , the Evo engine failed so couldn't be described as reliable either but it was ballistic on the road I've heard of standard Evo x engines failing so wouldn't touch one of them
